Spectacular property

Such a stunning place in the most stunning location. Right at the foot of Mt Buffalo. Everything was absolutely perfect, you feel like you're miles away from anyone, yet you are so close to Bright centre. Very highly recommended. The property is beautiful, very clean and very well maintained. Melissa and Rupert were amazing hosts.

Spartan Race Weekend Stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Nine Steps during our Spartan race weekend. After running 21km a soak in the deep freestanding bath was exactly what I needed. We loved the allocation of space, the modern architecture, and the homely feel. The house was presented beautifully and there was very helpful detailed information provided by the host, including how to find the property. The house was perfect in every way and would recommend it highly.

Exactly what we needed and more

This property exceeded expectations. I have never stayed somewhere that felt more like a home away from home. The kitchen was so well stocked, the bedrooms and living areas so comfortable. The serenity on the property was just what we needed. It was so lovely to sit outside on the deck in the morning, with a coffee, hearing nothing other than the sound of the river and some birds. Only a short 10 min drive in to Bright, 25mins to the top of Mount buffalo. Couldn’t rate this property higher, absolutely loved it and will be back! Thank you so much for having us

Bright's best kept secret

The house was amazing. A perfect weekend escape from the hustle bustle. I was able to truly switch off from my busy week and relax. The house is everything I expected and more, with its architectural design and excellent finishings. The main room is huge and a great way for a group to be together while cooking and relaxing in front of the fire. We ventured up to Mt Buffalo which is a short drive away as well as into Bright. The location is great as it is close to everything but yet secluded and private. I would highly recommend this for your next weekend getaway.

Perfection

We have recently returned from a truly memorable stay at Nine Steps in Porepunkah. This property is ideally located next to the Mt Buffalo National Park, approximately 5 minutes from Porepunkah and 10 minutes from Bright. The views from the house are wonderful, either of surrounding mountains or nearby forest. The house itself has been beautifully designed in order to capture the views, and is comfortably furnished and has a real sense of space, with a huge open plan kitchen/living area and cathedral ceiling. The house is set on a huge property which ensures peace and quiet. There is an abundance of wildlife, particularly native birds and wombats. The setting was perfect for a family getaway with our three children. There was heaps to do, including a fire pit for toasting marshmallows and a stream which runs alongside the property (including a fantastic swimming hole). We have previously stayed in some beautiful properties around Bright and would consider Nine Steps to be the very best.

Relaxing Stay

We stayed at Nine Steps for three nights in June, and had an amazing, relaxing stay. The house is beautifully designed and maintained in a peaceful location so close to Mount Buffalo with great views. The fireplace works wonderfully and the house was so cosy and warm.
