It was everything we were looking for- a relaxing and peaceful getaway. The view was great and the fireplace was perfect! We will be back for a longer stay.

Great views , good location. Property needs updating and a good cleaning. Some amenities were insufficient, old toilet paper left to use that was very old and dusty. Location is great just needs a good cleaning.

The view was wonderful and the location was great. Check in was easy and Destination Big Bear let us have an early check in and a late check out.The only problem was the lack of cleanliness. There were cob webs thru out the house and the window sills were extremely dirty. I had to clean them when I opened the windows. The house needs a deep cleaning other than that the stay was good.

The window sills were filled with yellow pollen. Causing a horrible attack on my nasal conditions and allergic reactions I had never had before. The floors are very uneven. Great location and view.

It was a fabulous! Great lake views. And the cabin was fully fitted with cooking necessities etc - and best of all, the feel of the Big Bear vibe throughout with its furnishings and decor.

Great Location

Perfect getaway in a great cabin on the water cabin. Sunrise views and a short stroll to town. Cabin was clean and cozy. Rustic old school Big Bear at it's finest.

Perfect “Old School” Cabin

Exactly what we were looking for. The lake was high & the view fantastic. Quintessential Big Bear Cabin. Highly recommend!

Superb location

Convenient location for skiing/snowboarding - five minute walk to a gondola center that takes you to Canyon Lodge (another 10 minute ride); clean and comfortable. Easy access to a community hot tub/sauna. Cheers

Great location but run down

Excellent location but cabin is run down and was poorly cleaned prior to our check in. Cabin needs updating and an in depth cleaning

Great location but could use a little work

The location, patio and view were exactly what we were looking for; however, the property itself could use a little TLC. I would recommend it to anyone who just wants to relax and look out at the lake, but just know what to expect going in.

Beautiful view of the lake

Dowstairs room has one king bed, upstairs has one queen size and two twins. They do provide extra blankets if needed as it does get cold at night. Kitchen has a coffee machine, toaster, microwave… they also have cups, coffee mugs, utensils, cutlery, plates bowls..Some pots and pans.But if you have KIDS be sure to CHECK under the couch. My kid found a VAPE and A LIGHTER, maybe someone from the previous stay dropped it.

Nice view but cottage dated

The best part of this cottage was the view out to the lake. The interior is quite dated and it can get quite stuffy in the bedrooms at night as the air-conditioning doesn't work. The deck was very nice though. There is a bbq grill and we could sit on the deck for our meals with a view of the lake. The cleaning fee was pretty expensive and despite charging us, we are still expected to take our trash with us and put the dishes away when we check out. View is rated 4 stars and the cottage is rated 3 stars

Only 10% of homes in Big Bear have AC. This home just so happens to be one of the homes that do not have it. We do list this in the description of the home. What we do recommend, due to the majority of the homes not having AC, is opening the windows at night, as well as turning on the ceiling fans, and some of the box fans in homes. The city of Big Bear Lake does not pick up trash from vacation rentals, due to the trash possibly sitting out for days, and being accessible to some of the critters we have up here. We do notify this upon check-in when accepting the terms and agreements, arrival instructions, and in the home rules as well as the dishes. Kind Regards, Destination Big Bear

The cabin is old original

The cabin had character and was neat and clean. They really do need to get a new bed in the downstairs bedroom though. It's listed as a king size--not true. And it is very soft and mushy :( Also, if the thermostat seems like there is air conditioning...there is not. Fans available though.

Unfortunately due to the comfort of the beds being an individual personal preference, this is something that is difficult for us to match. We do our best to accommodate everyone and their preferences by purchasing neutral, comfortable beds. Unfortunately, only 10% of homes in Big Bear have AC. Things noted that can use improvement.

1. Upstairs bedroom door cannot be closed from the outside. Doorknob missing. 2. Coffee pot is not operational....it took a good hour for the water to go through the filter.
