Great accommodation and very homely

Great cozy place. We really felt at home here. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. All of our first time in Tumut and we really enjoyed our time there

Comfortable and cosy

This was our second time at Butterfly Cottage. It is a good stop off point for our travels south each year. Our dogs were very comfortable too.

Beautiful Butterfly Cottage

The cottage was wonderful, very comfortable and well appointed, all our needs were catered for. It was so tastefully decorated and well located in the township of Tumut, we will certainly return, our dog had a good time too, thanks.

The cottage was beautifully presented, spotlessly clean with a new kitchen and new large bathroom. Bedding was very comfortable and we were grateful for the air con and fans as the weather was over 40 during our stay. Thank you Dorothy for the milk, cookies and chocolates. Much appreciated after a long drive.

Beautiful country getaway

We had such a fantastic time at Dorothy's property. The house was very clean, conveniently located and well-equipped. There were so many little homely touches which made us feel very welcome. The town is beautiful and it is only a couple of blocks away from everything you could need. We really look forward to returning in the near future. Thank you for a lovely stay Dorothy!

Trout Fishing

Lovely place to stay. Nice and quiet. Colin loved trout fishing 5 min away. Our to small dogs were nice and safe in the backyard. Thanks Dorothy

Nice cosy.

The fine details from owner is amazing. Nice welcome chocolate gift. Lots of brochures provided for local food spots and tours around the tumut area. Nice and cosy. Has everything you need. Will come back 100%

Very comfortable, close to town

Butterfly cottage was clean, comfortable and had everything you need for a pleasant stay in Tumut. We loved our walks at 6.30 - 7am at Bula Park where we met the local dog fraternity. Thank you Dorothy for sharing this with our furry friend. Di & Den

Great Place, Close to Town

This was a great place to stay with the family and our dog. It was in a very quiet area, extremely close to town so you could walk down and enjoy the local pubs and shops. It was well presented with an updated kitchen and bathroom (which was huge) and a neat yard with a very secure and fully fenced yard for your pet. Dorothy was a pleasure to deal with and check in was really simple and easy. Would highly recommend staying here to explore Tumut, we loved it! It was a bonus finding a packet of bikkies and a bottle of milk already there for us when we checked in!

The kitchen and bathroom were obviously recently renovated and they were beautifully done. The cottage was comfortable and warm (we were there in winter). Recliner chairs in the living room which were very comfy. Nice touches of chocolates and biscuits plus milk in the fridge. Great to have such a high standard for pet-friendly accommodation. It is a short walk to the fabulous off-leash Bila Park and beautiful riverside walk. Fantastic for doggos that need plenty of exercise!

Comfortable and Quiet

A suggestion would be to install a dishwasher. the bathroom fan needs to be stronger to remove steam. Blinds outside or inside bathroom for privacy, if window is to be open for airflow. Back screen door not able to be locked. Would stay again for a few days.

Home away from home

Butterfly Cottage was the perfect holiday location to catch up with family in Tumut and Gundagai. So warm and comfortable to return to after a busy day out.
