The Octagon Suite at the Country Manor Inn

The Octagon Suite is actually more of a private suite than an apartment in the Country Manor Inn. It is designed for 2 adults but could accommodate one or two small children as well. It is well appointed with plenty of amenities and it overlooks our 52 acre private farm-style estate with rolling hills, grazing horses and private fishing.

This suite has a fully-equipped kitchen for preparing your own breakfast (or dinner), plus a large dining table for 6, a private bathroom, a seating area with sofa and 2 lounge chairs for visiting, reading or watching TV. There is free WiFi service, plus a private deck with picnic table, barbecue grill and a 4-person hot tub on the deck.

We provide all the dishes, pots and pans, sheets and linens, soaps and paper towels, coffee, filters, cream and sugar.

Guests have access to our private picnic area, our private fishing pond with a small boat, our hiking trails and our fire ring for roasting marshmallows in the evening.

If you fall in love with the suite and the setting, remember that we do have private elopement and destination wedding packages.

Always a Great Stay

We've stayed at this property several times. Always a great place. The owners were even kind enough to check in on our arrival date to ensure our safety due to the winter weather. See you next year!

Great get away for Christmas this year.

Just wanted to get away for a couple days for Christmas. The place was great! Very clean. Easy to find. The views were beautiful. I highly recommend!

Another wonderful stay!

We always know what to expect when we stay in the Octagon Suite and are not disappointed. The hot tub is great after a day of hiking and the view is beautiful. The owners are always available if needed. See you again in May 2025!

Excellent stay..absolutely beautiful view..simply peaceful. Such an easy check in and welcoming as soon as we opened the door..Clean and Beautiful room with windows full of view...and the horses made it extra special..Just loved stopping to say Hi as we passed by..Many thanks for a wonderful stay!

Quiet getaway

Friendly staff, picturesque views, very comfortable, enjoyed sitting in the hot tub on the private deck. Daily walks to see the horses and various trails to hike.

Exactly as advertised

Wonderful, clean and comfortable with an outstanding view. Highly recommend if you want something other than the box with a balcony and highway view, you get at regular inns.

2nd Stay a Success

We returned for another weekend anniversary getaway. It has rustic charm and we love the large, floor to ceiling windows that let the morning light in and show off the gorgeous mountains and secluded landscape. Their horses, chickens, and barn cat are a pleasure to pass by and see. There was plenty to do in Townsend, and we came back in the evening and watched the sun set and the stars appear from the hot tub. Thank you Mrs. April for sharing your special place with travelers.

Incredible view

We absolutely loved our stay, the views were spectacular! It'd made for and incredible office experience as my partner and I worked remote during the day, and the close proximity to the smokies allowed us to explore in the afternoons and evenings. We even got to do a horse trail ride around the property one morning, it was a blast! The hosts were incredibly accomodating and promptly answered our questions. We highly recommend Country Manor Acres.

Just perfect!

We loved Country Manor Acres and the Octagon Suite. It is easy to get to, off the beaten track, and has everything we needed for a very reasonable cost. Owners are very responsive and personable. We enjoy staying near Townsend on the “quiet side”.

Love this place!

This was the third time that we have stayed at Country Manor, and it was as delightful as always. The suite is always very clean and comfortable. The view from the suite is amazing and the property is so peaceful. It's a great place to sit on the deck and relax while enjoying the view. We enjoyed petting the horses, the chickens and the cat. The owners are very friendly and personable and always make us feel at home there. We will be staying there again the next time we head to the Smokies.

Perfect for Anniversary

We are already making plans to return in the future. Close to everything we wanted to do in Townsend, but secluded enough for a romantic weekend together. The hot tub was the cherry on top after being out and about all day. We loved waving to the horses, chickens, and barn cat as well. They looked just as happy to be there as we were. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

Beautiful location

My husband and I have stayed at this property previously and found that the location excellent for hiking in the park and visiting Dollywood. Location is close to Cades Cove.The room is a good size with an excellent view. Check in is easy with the owner leaving instructions near the office, taped on to the door of the room. The only negative is the cleanliness of the room. Very dusty under things. Needs a deep clean for sure.

Worth it!

Beautiful setting, quiet home overlooking the Smokies. Set in the noncommercialized town of Townsend with quick access to the National Park. The suite had its own entrance, access to the deck with hot tub just for this suite, plenty of towels. Easy check-in. The facilities had access to host weddings and horseback riding on their acreage, if this is something you need. Our last day the area was inundated with rain (4inches) yet we enjoyed listening to the rain on the tin roof and sitting on the veranda watching the mist and rain on the hills while listening to the rolling thunder. Unfortunately the rain from the mountains draining down tore up their access road a bit. My only criticism is that the room needs a deeper clean (blinds, ceiling fan, under the bed). Would stay here again!

Excellent experience

This was our second visit this year. We returned to the Octagon Suite after we enjoyed the first stay in June and were not disappointed. The location is very convenient to Townsend and Cades Cove, as well as to take day trips to further destinations. The next time we come, we want to plan more time to spend at this property for hiking and a horseback ride. We only ran into Jeff and April in passing as they stayed busy running the ranch, but we knew they were available if we needed them. In all of our trips to this area, we have not stayed in a more peaceful setting with such beautiful views and are already planning our next trip back. Thank you for your southern hospitality!

Just Ok

Room was just Ok. This room was in need of a deep clean. There was 1/4 inch of dust on the ceiling fan; so no using that. The window sills and surround hadn’t seen a cleaning in awhile either, along with the baseboard. The shower floor needs a good scrubbing also. We didn’t use the hot tub.
