Enjoy this quaint cabin on beautiful sand bottom West Bass Lake in Gwinn, MI. The cabin sits on 100 feet of lake frontage. It features two private bedrooms, two hide a bed couches in the living area, wood burning fireplace, full bathroom, full kitchen with smooth top range, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee maker, keurig coffee maker, crockpot, toaster and dishes. The cabin is also furnished with linens and towels. You will also find a separate sauna building with shower and some complimentary firewood.

For your outdoor pleasure there is a furnished deck, patio with fire pit, gas grill, large backyard, garage, canoe, two kayaks, paddleboat, fishing boat with battery motor, water toys and a dock to allow for easy lake access and fun. In the evening you can play cards, board games, watch movies on your complimentary DVD player, enjoy Direct TV or make s'mores over the fire pit.

West Bass Lake is known for its great swimming, boating, water sports and fishing. There is a public boat launch on the lake. You will find rainbow trout, large and smallmouth bass, blue gill and perch for your fishing pleasure. The cabin is 40 minutes from Marquette and 60 minutes from Munising.

Beautiful Retreat!

This property was absolutely amazing and one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. From the property to the accommodation to the owners everything was amazing from beginning to end. The trip was more than relaxing and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. It is well worth the trip!

Bass Lake

Very clean and cozy cabin. Perfect size for us. Owners were very responsive to questions and check in inquiries. Our stay was during the week so it felt like we had the lake to ourselves. Will definitely look to stay again.

Beautiful lake cabin

This is possibly the cleanest lake we've ever stayed on. The cabin was perfect and the sauna was a great addition. We had everything we needed for our week stay. Owners were very responsive. I would highly recommend this cabin on Bass Lake!

Amazing views on Bass Lake 💙

We love spending time on Bass Lake! Bald eagles, loons, orioles, whip-poor-wills. Nature at its best, and a beautiful place to relax and decompress.

Relaxing by the lake

This little house by the lake provided a great getaway for my wife and me. There were plenty of amenities including a great deck to sit on and watch the sunsets. We recommend this property.

Great get-away!

A bit out of the way, but a great cabin. Everything you could need is provided, except a blow dryer. The lake is lovely and we enjoyed using the toys. Would definitely rent it again.

Every year we have an amazing time. Peaceful, clean, neat and tidy and completely as advertised. Would highly recommend this property to anyone. Centrally located so access to Munising, Marquette and Escanaba is easy, if so inclined to take a road trip.

An amazing place to decompress...

I grew up vacationing on West Bass Lake with my family and was able to share this amazing place with my husband and children over the years. The cottage has been updated and included everything that we needed for cooking and relaxing. The authentic Finnish sauna was our favorite amenity included with this rental. We will definitely recommend to our family, friends, and co-workers!

Peaceful!

From coffee on the deck in the morning to watching the loons and the oriole mother taking care of the nest to grilled lunches on the deck, fishing and hiking during the day and wrapping up the evening with a relaxing sauna and cool drink. Just a peaceful place to relax and unwind. The remodeled kitchen is wonderful as well. Pete and Shane could not have been better hosts during our (2) week stay 6/10/22 thru 6/24/22.

Wow

This place is everything and more of what is says. We walked in and it was very welcoming, and very well stocked with everything you would need. Every moment of the day was relaxing, from sitting in the living room or swinging on the swing looking at the lake, to a campfire at night. We will be back again!

A Great Week in the UP

We have stayed in 15+ rentals in the UP and this has been our favorite. The lake offers good swimming, paddling and fishing plus the area two tracks were nice for family mountain biking. The house, while it appears small from the outside, has a very nice layout inside. All the essentials were included and the remodled kitchen is very nice. The location is somewhat remote but Gwinn is 15 minutes away and has a decent grocery store and good pizza (highly recommend Mozzi pizza). Marquette is roughly 40 minutes away depending on the route you choose. We do hope to stay here again!
