The farmhouse is absolutely beautiful. Completely renovated and up-to-date. From waking up in the morning, sitting out on the back porch with a slight frost on the ground, watching the deer come through and the horses coming out of the stalls on the other side, just adds to the experience. Absolutely perfect for anyone that wants to get away and have peace and quiet, but not too far away from town if you need to get some groceries or drive around and see the sites from the overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway. For the quick run for something that you may have forgotten, There’s a little country store not too far away, just to add to the small town country feel.

We had a wonderful time visiting our daughter who attends Roanoke College. The property offered a true retreat and the surroundings were lovely. I encourage you to Treehouse Tavern as well - so hospitable and close. Looking forward to a return visit. Thank you!

Fantastic property. Everything you need, fantastic firepit area, comfortable home tastefully decorated with beautiful antiques. Peaceful and quiet in the mountains, and so close to Roanoke and all it has to offer.

Spacious, clean, and well-stocked with everything you’d need. Beautifully updated and tastefully decorated to provide a cozy, comfortable atmosphere. Our host made us all feel welcome. We enjoyed our stay and only wish we’d had more time to spend there!

Very clean and cozy, great kitchen and outdoor area. One bedroom had an amazing comfortable mattress. The twin bed mattresses were a little rough to sleep on, but other than that, I would absolutely stay there again.

Wedding Stay

We choose this place because it was close to the venue and could accommodate all of us. The place was awesome. It was beautiful and cozy. Had plenty amenities for the short stay. Will come back again

80th b-day celebration

Jim was very responsive while we were planning on stay/visit. The house has a wonderful history/story and has been loved by the owner which is clear in how it has been taken care of. We enjoyed our stay very much.

The turn of the century farm house is perfect blend of old and new. It has everything you need plus a lovey view with privacy. If you need to get away this is a great choice.

Beautiful place

Very enjoyable stay in a beautiful restored farmhouse with modern kitchen and bathrooms. Lots of views, hiking trails, ponds and streams. Morning coffee overlooking horse pasture and other wildlife. Short drive to Roanoke, Floyd and blue ridge parkway. Quiet and peaceful, Jim was an awesome host.

Beautiful Farmhouse

A beautiful getaway about a half hour from Roanoke College stayed for graduation and had a wonderful experience. The property is beautiful as the house. You will not be disappointed. My only warning is at the drive up the mountain is pretty steep and windy.

Spectacular Place to Stay

This is an absolutely gorgeous property. It's clear to see how much effort Robert has put into this home. It's a perfect balance of modern amenities while preserving the historic feel of the farmhouse. Robert was very attentive - making sure we had plenty of firewood, and very easy to communicate with. I will be recommending this property to anyone staying in the area in the future.
