Milkwood, A lovely Three-bedroomed chalet, sleeps five

A delightful home-from-home, self-catering cedarwood chalet on a quiet site .For children, there is a play area.
The site also has stunning views of the Towy Valley and surrounding countryside.
The chalet consists of a lounge, kitchen-diner, bathroom, with a combined bath & shower. Three bedrooms, one with a double bed, one with bunk beds (adult size) and a room with a single bed.
Television with satellite freeview, DVD player plus a music hi-fi.
Beds will be made, please bring your own towels sadly we do not provide towels.
There is a electric meter that takes £1 coins ( dose not cover the true cost but only way to get the Electric to work )
If required, the site has a laundry facility, opposite the chalet.
There's is a swimming pool only open during the school summer holidays and run by the site management company which can be closed for unforeseen reasons such as no life guard

Elmrise Park is situated four miles from Carmarthen Town on the Towy Estuary, close to the seaside village of Llansteffan. It is well located for a wide range of fantastic visitor attractions in the region, including:

* The National Botanic Gardens of Wales
* The seaside resort of Tenby
* Laugharne and writer Dylan Thomas' Boathouse
* Pembrey Park
* Llanelli National Coastal Park
* Penclacwydd Wildfowl Reserve
* Folly Farm and Oakwood Leisure Park
* Pendine Sands
' Saundersfoot and Wiseman's Bridge

Locally, attractions include Llansteffan Beach ( great for playing on , not suitable for swimming in due to strong currents ) and Scott's Bay, Llansteffan Castle and woodland and hill walks.
In the village of Llansteffan, there are several pub-restaurants, a shop, post office and beach shop.
The nearby village of Johnstown has a Spar shop and in Carmarthen, there is a thriving shopping centre, with an indoor market, street market, local independent shops and high street stores and a large 24-hour Tesco store.

Real lovely place, very impressed with facilities, but these should be detailed more in the web page. There was cutlery, say’s pans, towels and much more, better then other places I have stayed, many thanks to the owner for such a great setup.

Holiday in Wales

Just had a great time at llansteffan the host Sue and her husband Steve are ready friendly and so helpful, would recommend this holiday chalet and the park is so peaceful and quiet and nice people who stay there.

The chalet was very nice and confortable. The destination was beautiful. We enjoy the pool and all accommodation around. Perfect holidays in family.

Fantastic chalet

The chalet was perfect for our short stay. It was clean, well equipped and the beds were really comfortable. Sue is a fantastic host - offering lots of suggestions of places to visit along with being available to answer any questions. The site is really quiet and in a perfect location to explore. We really enjoy our short stay, only wish it was longer!

Family holiday

Used this property as a base for a half-term holiday with three children. Excellent communication with Sue, property is as listed, clean and contains all that is needed. Easy location for visiting the area.

Frenchman in Wales

Very delighted about the property, location, beach and rivers. The enviroment is fantastic with everything you need for children and adults. It is an ideal choice and place to be when needed a break.

Comfortable homely stay

We loved our stay here. Sue was a very good host and was lovely to have milk, coffee and little gifts on arrival. The beds were very comfortable and well made. The heaters worked well and the shower was great. The chalet was well equipped. The location was quiet. From Elmrise Park we were able to explore different places; Llanstefan castle (free) and beach, Pendine sands and rock pools, Wiseman’s Bridge, Pembrey Country park for the beach, tobogganing and train ride plus Carmarthen for a bit of shopping! Thanks for a lovely stay Sue, would recommend.

The chalet could have an easier entrance for wheelchairs by having a ramp in to it and the path to it could have been a bit wide as the bends where a little to sharp. The bath room had a bath with a shower over it, that is no good for disable people with leg problems as they would be unable to get in to the shower or the bath. But the site was lovely.

Perfect little chalet!

The chalet was perfect for us, an adult and 4 children. Incredibly well equipped and a very good location to explore Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. Will definitely be back!

Overall a Fantastic Stay

This was a home from home stay whereby everything was as per description. The chalet was clean and comfortable for a family of 5. It was a very good location so that we could explore the local area and there was lots to do especially for the kids.

Lovely homely chalet

The whole process was simple from booking to check in. The chalet was spotlessly clean, and very comfortable for our stay. The site is a lovely little site located in a great area for visiting Carmarthen, tenby, saundersfoot. The little village on llanstefan was beautiful too. The owners communication was great, would definitely stay again if visiting the area. Thank you

Lovely holiday

The chalet was just what we needed. Llandstefan is lovely and with some great walking and other beaches nearby it is certainly worth a visit.

A small, comfortable place to rest your head and a good base from which to explore this part of Wales. Beds comfortable and a well equipped home from home. TV a little small but hardly used it any way.

Very clean, lovely location

Spotlessly clean chalet, perfect location for some lovely day trips. We visited Colby gardens national trust and national botanic gardens which were both fantastic for adults and children. We also had a great day on Llansteffan beach and a visit to Carmarthen town for shopping and tea, both of which are within 10-15 minutes drive. Great for families, our 5 year old and 1 year old really enjoyed their stay. Great communication from Sue as well - thank you for a great bank holiday weekend

Lovely chalet in a great location

We had a lovely 4 night stay in this chalet. Sue was very welcoming in her emails and had kindly provided us with a cot and high chair for the baby. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The chalet is in a great location close to lots of places. The only thing was that the swimming pool wasn't open when we were there but Sue pointed us in the direction of a local pool that was great.

We are a family from Cardiff who like to spend time away from the city in the peace and quiet of west Wales, where the pace of life is very relaxing.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

We spent a couple of years holidaying in west Wales and fell in love with the area. When we were fortunate enough to take up the opportunity to buy a chalet, we were delighted with our decision. We've had years of happy experiences and memories exploring the beautiful coastline and local attractions. Why the name Milkwood for the chalet? This is the wonderful landscape that inspired Dylan Thomas, the writer of Under Milkwood, who lived close by in Laugharne.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

We loved the fact the chalet site is on a river estuary, close to the seaside village of Llansteffan, which boasts a medieval castle and the tranquil Scott's Bay. We can jump in the car and in a couple of minutes, we're in Llansteffan for a country walk, play on the beach or sitting eating ice cream, taking in the sea view. Fantastic.
