Overall, a great stay. Room enough for everyone (somewhat tight as the photos make the rooms look larger than they are). Everyone had a great time until the wildfire smoke rolled in. Kayaking on the river took some skill due to lots of tree limbs and such. There is a ton of outdoor seating and the enclosed porch was a great morning and evening meeting place for the crew. As usual there was plenty to do locally, half our group had never been to Sleeping Bear. No disappoints there. The overall solitude of the home allowed for lots of time to unwind and get some sun. The few minor questions we had were addresses promptly and professionally. Thanks for a great stay David!

The area is really geared for summer tourists, so coming in December means we missed that. Really enjoyed the skiing/snowboarding at Crystal Mountain resort which is 10 minutes away. The slopes aren't as expansive as the typical ski areas out west, but not having to fight crowds was a nice, relaxing time.

Great Stay!!

Wonderful experience staying here. David communicated frequently and made the stay very comfortable with lots of games/activities for the kids to enjoy. Would absolutely stay here again!

Winter retreat

We had a very relaxing stay. The lodge is away from everything yet close enough to Crystal Mountain to enjoy lunch and warm up there and return to the mountain.
