IMPORTANT: We do not accept third party bookings. The person whose name is on the reservation must be staying at the property.
We no longer accept dogs or any pets, no exceptions.
Pricing is $390.00 base price for up to 2 guests. $40.00 per night for each additional guest per night after the first 2 guests. Children under age 3 stay free, 10% discount on one week stays. (Please let us know if any of your children are aged 3 and under when you fill out the inquiry form.) Minimum stay of 2 nights.
Minimum age of primary renter: 25.
INTERNET AND CELL SERVICE: we have Starlink wifi but no satellite TV (though we do have a DVD library), because trees around the house block satellite reception from the South sky. Wifi speed may sometimes be affected by trees around the house. There is spotty cell service in Yosemite West.
Yosemite West is inside Yosemite National Park. It is a 25-35 minutes drive to Yosemite Valley attractions, 30 minutes to Glacier Point and 30 minutes to Mariposa Grove and Wawona. This is also the closest lodging for Badger Pass Ski Area, with downhill and cross country skiing and snowshoeing - only eight miles away from your door.
This Yosemite West home is located close to the Glacier Point Road, so you are very close to Taft Point and Glacier Point, the most spectacular views of Yosemite Valley.
This house sleeps a maximum of 8 - 10 people. Please note if you have a larger group that this house has 1 1/2 bathrooms, and only 1 shower. If you prefer 2 showers, please check out our other Yosemite West rental cabin, the Hummingbird Pines House (VRBO 470093).
The Hummingbird Raven House has a spacious deck high in the trees which is a wonderful place to eat dinner and enjoy the sunset.
Please note that our house has a spiral staircase which may be difficult for elderly folks and small children. Our other Yosemite West vacation home, the Hummingbird Pines House (VRBO 470093) is more suited to elderly guests as it has only 2 steps into the house and bedrooms on the ground floor.
If our cabin and Yosemite are accessible, we do not cancel, modify, or refund reservations based on smoke, which is a very common occurrence in Yosemite each summer. This policy is consistent with most vacation rentals in Yosemite West.
The master bedroom has a king size bed and a half bath. Upstairs are two additional bedrooms, with a queen size bed and four bunks. A convertible sofa-bed in the office sleeps 1 to 2 more guests. Note: we cannot accommodate more than 10 guests at a time.
This house is equipped with a full kitchen and a large dining table. There is a bbq and dining furniture on the deck, which is a wonderful place to enjoy dinner and watch the sunset.
Air conditioning is individually controlled through a mini-split system controlled by remotes in each room. Our location is 6,000 feet of elevation, so generally is cooler than Yosemite Valley.

We appreciate being informed about the kitchen, which we'll be discussing with our housekeeper. We steam clean the carpets twice yearly and the last time was in May. Because of extremely high occupancy in summer we're not able to steam clean mid-season. Unfortunately a previous guest had slopped a drink on the carpet before these guests arrived, which greatly affected the appearance of the carpet.

Very comfortable place to stay. Great beds and kitchen had everything we need. Everything is a bit of a drive, but that seems to be the case unless you stay directly in the valley. Spiral staircase is a little tricky to navigate if you have any walking issues but very comfortable otherwise.

The house is cleaned well, the house is overall a little dated. That said, all of important things have been updated, new minisplits in all the rooms, new washer/dryer, new stove and oven, nice grill outside. For the price, especially relative to other properties in the area, I felt like it was a very good value. It worked out perfectly for us to explore Yosemite with our toddler and have quick access back to the house for nap time etc...

Very good location. Easy directions and check in process. Saw lots of wildlife from a baby cub to deer. Bed was comfortable. Peaceful environment. Will definitely keep this place in mind when returning to visit the park.

We loved the location of this home as it was just inside of Yosemite Park, halfway between Mariposa Grove and the Valley. The best part of the home was having air conditioning, the mini splits worked excellent and we felt very comfortable after having hot 90 degree days hiking and biking in Yosemite. The kids loved the double bunk beds and the parents were able to have their own rooms and beds. The washing machine and dryer appear to be just recently replaced so looks like there have been improvements made on the home. The carpets are a little worn and dirty and could use a replacement soon. We also encountered some evidence of critters inside which detracted from our stay. The owners were extremely responsive when I mentioned the issue and tried to remedy the problem, which I hope won't be an issue for future residents. If the cleanliness issue is taken care of I would definitely recommend this place because of its location and comfort.

Thank you for staying with us, Doris, and we really appreciate you letting us know about the critters. We've remedied the situation and the cabin is fine now. A previous guest had left the sliding glass doors open at night which is what caused the issue in the first place.

Great location that is close to Yosemite valley attractions & very close to Glacier Point. Nice cooking area with private deck to relax, and main room with big windows to soak in the surrounding trees.

Awesome stay!
We had a great stay at the Hummingbird Cabin! Its proximity to the Yosemite Valley was awesome, amenities were great (updated appliances and AC in all bedrooms), and the place was cozy and comfortable. Dining on the deck was incredibly enjoyable and access to the park was super easy. Thanks for a great stay!

Beautiful, comfortable, close to Yosemite destinations!
Great place to stay within Yosemite’s borders. Comfortably housed our family of 7 for a week. You will love the tranquility and closeness to all of Yosemite’s beauty! One word to the wise: stock up before you arrive, the nearest large grocery store is an hour away, but if you are like us, the closeness to nature is why you are even considering this beautiful property!!! A wonderful stay in every way!

Yosemite National Park
Great location to main attractions: 25-30 minute drive to Yosemite Valley, Wawona, Glacier Point. Nice comfortable cabin for a family or group. Was there during the week and it was very quiet area. Inside the park, so no need to exit and make insane line to get back in.

Great location and clean
Loved this rental property. Communication was easy and place was perfect for us. Great location inside the park. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location and accommodation!
Beautiful location and a short drive to the amazing "Tunnel View" and then onto the Valley floor. Also close to Glacier point road. The cabin was lovely, all the amenities we needed and lots of space for the 5 of us. We loved it!

Excellent Location, Great for Family Re-Unions
Property was exactly as advertised. Very well maintained and with a lot of thought to the small details and things that are required. Nice location inside the park and not too far away from the various attractions.

Hummingbird Raven is inside the park, but outside the bustle of Yosemite Valley so it is quiet and peaceful. This house is ideal for groups of family and friends who want a nice house to come back to after a long day of adventure

Yosemite West is inside the Park boundaries, so it's a perfect location to enjoy Yosemite (20 minutes to Yosemite Valley and Glacier Point, and close to various trailheads). It has the advantage of being very close to the Badger Pass ski area, and being at a higher elevation than the Valley, which keeps the temperatures more comfortable in the summer months.
