Touchstone's House lies on a lush and expansive 1-acre tropical property. The house is east of Romora Bay Marina, beach-side, tucked in just behind the dune, adjacent to the pink sand beach. You can hear the waves crashing from every part of the home. The house is 70 casual steps away from the famous Pink Sand Beach. The house adorns original, hand-made, hand-painted Cuban tiles from the '50s. The home has the perfect combination of rustic and polished with modern features, like brand new split unit AC's in every room, Amazon Firestick & RokuTV, & Wireless Internet. The home has 4 huge outdoor entertaining spaces, perfect for BBQs and dinner parties.
TS’s House also lies adjacent to Touchstone’s Cottage VRBO listing # 333247 - far enough away for total privacy to rent separately yet close enough together to rent as a duo, perfect for large families or groups of friends.
Harbour Island is only 4.5 miles long by half a mile wide; everything is quickly accessible by golf cart. The house comes equipped with all of your beach necessities. Children and baby supplies can be rented through the housekeeper, please inquire. Daily housekeeping is included. *Note - We recommend purchasing travel insurance.

A week in paradise is probably the best way to qualify our stay ! Everything was perfect : The place, the Beach, the staff to keep the place and garden beautiful. It’s a gem. Very well located in beautiful Harbor Island. Would definately come back for more !

Relaxing stay

Touchstone was the perfect spot for our family of 5. Steps away from the beach made it very convenient with small children and appreciated having access to the shed of toys and boogie boards. The property is well maintained and we enjoyed the fresh coconuts. This was our first time to Harbour Island and appreciated all the information provided. Thank you Karina!

Can’t wait to return to Touchstone House!

Our family had a wonderful time on Harbour Island!! We’d love to return next year and head right back to Touchstone House. The property is beautiful, very close to the beach and had everything we needed to make it feel like home away from home. Thank you, Karina!

The Dreamiest Escape

This was truly one of our family’s most memorable family vacations 〰 Karina was so attentive and every step of our stay was truly wonderful. The house is even better than it looks online. Beautifully styled, clean, comfortable and just literal steps to the beach. We loved the staff who came for housekeeping and to garden daily. We enjoyed fresh coconuts from the yard daily…and enjoyed rum cocktails on the porch each afternoon. We will absolutely be back as soon as we are able. Location Location Location

Beautiful home located within walking distance to the ocean without the ocean front pricing. This home has it all. Charm, location, generator, beach toys. You name it they have it. We had a wonderful time and the staff is super helpful, and friendly. Would recommend to anyone looking to visit Harbour island.

The best Bahamian cottage!

Karina and David are fabulous hosts! Touchstone is an amazing property and only steps from the beach; we couldn’t have asked for a better location. The property is clean and so darling. The staff is outstanding. We had the best trip!

Thanksgiving 2023

We cant say enough about Karina and David, they are amazing hosts and were there for us anytime we needed anything or had questions about the island. The house was perfect, the yard was amazing, especially for the kids to run around after long days at the beach. They made it a Thanksgiving we will never forget and we will be back!

Great Family Vacation!!!!

We had a wonderful time staying at Touchstone, it was very relaxing. We love make dinner and sitting out on the patio at night. After dinner we would all go to the beach and look at all the star at night, living in the city you don't get to see that many star at night. Touchstone is a beautiful home and we hope to be back someday soon. :)

Best House By The Sea!!

We stayed at Touchstone House and it was perfection!!!! The home is large and clean and everywhere the eye lands there is well thought out decor. The home is literally around the corner from the beach and when you sit in any of the numerous porches or patios, you can hear the waves crashing. Fabulous! Amazing cottage just by the beach with the best hosts ever!

Karina and David were fantastic. They have a beautiful property which is just a step away from the gorgeous Pink Sands Beach. Their cottage is located on a very quiet strip of the beach, and most days we had the entire beach to ourselves. The cottage was beautiful, clean, and welcoming. Karina has decorated everything perfectly and it is so inviting. They also helped with organizing everything from arrival to departure and everything in between. We stayed for 9 nights and had wonderful service the entire time. My wife and our young 7 month old son loved everything Harbour Island had to offer and would highly recommend staying at Touchstone. We will definitely be back!

Slice of Paradise

We rented both house and cottage for our family vacation. It was the perfect proximity - close enough for my kids to scoot over to see their grandparents while having some privacy and separation when needed. Everything was impeccable with our stay and was as expected per the listing. Karina was a gracious host and communicating with her was very easy. We were steps away from the beach and the location is ideal to getting to restaurants and shops via golf cart. The home was outfitted with everything needed for the week and Karina has impeccable design taste. It's a beautiful home and perfect for a family with children like us. Paradise

We can’t say enough good things about this Vrbo on Harbour Island. My wife and I went for a week with our 10 month old daughter, and stayed at the Touchstone cottage. Our two friends and their little one actually stayed at the cottage behind us too. It could not have been a better experience overall. Our cottage was amazing and the property was big and beautifully landscaped. It’s maybe a 2 minute walk to the a breathtaking beach. Karina could not have been more helpful with her recommendation of dinners, and helping facilitate golf cart pickup, boat rides etc.. This was my best Vrbo experience to date, and I highly recommend to anybody coming to the Bahamas. We’ll see you next year Karina!

Perfect Beach Cottage

The Touchstone House was perfect for our family of four. We had such a great time enjoying the many outdoor spaces and love how close it was to the beach. Since it is on the quiet part of the beach, we were often the only ones on the beach. The beach doesn’t get any better than that. The water is pristine, the sand is pink and fine and the temperature was perfect. The only thing that was a negative is there is a big house being built so you will hear some construction noise at the house and on the beach. But it didn’t ruin our experience and is totally beyond anyone’s control. Karina was so great with helping us plan our trip, suggesting activities and providing us with a list of contacts (for things like restaurants, activities and golf cart rental). While we were on the island she would even email me to let me know if there was live music or another fun event going on. Neka was great with keeping the house clean and help us with laundry and getting more drinking water when we ran out. The house is exactly as pictured—oozing of Bahamian charm. The location is a bit removed from the busy part of town so we were spared of the hustle and bustle of the spring breakers but with a golf cart, we got anywhere on the island in just a few minutes. We really enjoyed having a full kitchen and outdoor grill so we didn’t have to eat out every meal—its very expensive on Harbour Island so being able to cook breakfast and some dinners meant we didn’t feel guilty splurging when we did go out to eat. You will love this place!

Lovely beautifuly maintained cottage full of family memories both old and new.

I can't imagine a more perfect place to stay on the island. Touchstone house is a whimsical cottage tucked away in a lush garden setting only steps from the beach. Any one with an eye for design will be very happy in this house. French and Turkish textiles, antique Cuban floor tiles, local photography and paintings, shells and a collection of glass in an array of colors. Lots of out door spaces to lounge in while you listen to the ocean and wind through the palm fronds or just waiting for dinner to finish up on the grill. The kitchen has everything one might need; good set of knives, gas range, lots of pots and pans and thermal bags for grocery shopping. Complimentary coffee, sugar and creamer along with filters for the coffee maker was a nice touch especially for people checking in after the local grocery stores close. Karina is a superlative host. Not only has she anticipated pretty much every thing one might need, she was available at all times to answer questions and give advise. There are beach bags, hats and an assortment of sun creams available for your use. Chairs, unbrellas and toys for the beach, a cooler and ice blocks to keep your picnic chiled. The bathrooms each have shampoo, conditioner, and lemon verbena hand soap and body cream. There is one thing that might be a concern for some people. The tap water tastes a little salty and smells like sulpher from time to time. This is common on an island and the water is perfectly safe to drink and cook with. There is a large cooler for drinkin water and there's no problem getting a refill during your stay if needed. Did I mention the outdoor shower or visiting dog? What could be better. We look forward to returning again.

Best family vacation!!

Everything was perfect. We made so many sweet memories and we hope to come back soon! The house was great for children and adults alike. Loved how close it was to the beach and all of the beach equipment in the shed. It felt just like home!

Best Beach Vacation EVER!!!

We had the absolute best time at Touchstone!!!The closeness to the beach is perfect. It is so so easy to get there. Everything you need is in the beach to shed, including chairs, toys, snorkel, etc. The daily housekeeping is such a treat, we didn’t meet Neka and Clint but they are much appreciated!Thank you Frankie for the coconuts! We all enjoyed the coconut water. The beds and pillows are so comfy. Kitchen had everything we needed even spices etc. Living room very cozy and plenty big. Lots of games played around the kitchen table and memories made at Touchstone!Thank you Karina!

Book this gorgeous home immediately!

We loved our stay at Touchstone. The house is like an advertisement for a home decor magazine. The location can't be beat ... we watched the sun come up and down on the beach (which is a 22 second walk from the house if you're walking slowly). Karina is super easy to communicate with and very patient with lots of questions/requests for recommendations. We can't wait to go back ...

Highly recommend

Harbour Island is such a magical place. This was our first time to the island, and certainly will not be the last. Karina and David's place was the perfect home base for our little family of 4. It is cozy and beautifully decorated. You are right next to the beach, yet a short (5 min) golf cart ride to restaurants and shops in town. We loved the outdoor shower! Karina was very helpful with recommendations for restaurants, activities, even a masseuse who came right to the house. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
