We had an amazing stay here at Nelson Gay. The staff was caring and made our vacation 10 times better. This was our second time staying here and it's definitely not the last!

Fantastic 60th birthday week

We had a fantastic week at Nelson Gay, which is an elegant, understated, authentic property with an interesting history in an idyllic setting with direct access to a lovely (snorkelling) beach. With the different chalets & seating areas the layout just absorbs people. The staff were also understated but lovely & very efficient. The head chef Shawna & her team delivered one great meal after another & totally took the stress out of planning. We will be back

Our fourth visit to Nelson Gay over a span of twenty some years. It's always beautiful - the food is exceptional as is the staff. Somehow we always end up with more photos of the monkeys then we do of the people but get such a pleasure out of their visits. This year we were able to include five of our grandchildren who started out here as toddlers. We love this place! Thanks to all who make it so special.

The vacation was amazing. The staff was very helpful and they took care of us like we were family. If by any chance we can come back to Barbados - we definitely will come back because fo them!! Thank you very much!!!!!!

Absolutely INCREDIBLE stay!

From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The home was spotless, beautifully furnished, and had every amenity we could need. The location was perfect, peaceful, and felt like a true getaway. What truly made the experience unforgettable was the staff—welcoming, responsive, and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Every detail was thoughtfully handled. We didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend!

A Dream Wedding Venue

We rented Nelson Gay for our wedding in September 2024 and had the most wonderful stay and magical wedding. As a venue for weddings it is nothing short of a dream. We had the most stunning sunset, the layout of the property is fantastic for a cocktail style wedding with an intimate setting and beautiful backdrop. We also stayed here for 6 nights with family and friends and it was so special to have the staff attend to us and be able to enjoy each other's company in a warm home with so many of us traveling from all over the world to be here. It was great value for the group and we would recommend it for anyone thinking about a wedding, family reunion, or special occasion trip or even for just a quiet, family holiday. We'll be back!

Our group of 15 girls had the most unforgettable trip to Barbados staying at the stunning Nelson Gay Mansion from the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beauty of the property - the pool, the private beach access and the lush gardens made it feel like our own private paradise. We were delighted to share the grounds with some very special "neighbours" - a sweet monkey and her babies, playful roosters, and two affectionate cats who quickly became part of the family during our stay. What truly made this experience exceptional was the incredible staff. The butlers, chefs, housekeeping, security, and concierge went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect, from delicious meals to thoughtlful service they made us feel completely cared for and spoilt throughout our trip. Thank you to the entire Nelson Gay team for making our girls so magical, we created memories here that we will cherish forever and we cannot wait to return! With love from the NYC GIRLS TRIP 2025!!
