Nice historic house near the city center. It was perfect for are family of seven to spend a sunny winter weekend in Wellington. Great location if you want to be able to leave your car behind and walk to the city centre, the beehive, and other sights.

We were 5 ladies so the property was ideal. Lots of old traditional features. The kitchen was very well appointed with plenty of crockery, tea, coffee etc. Nice warm electric blankets and heaters, lots of extra blankets, towels and throws. The only downside were the windows. They’re very high and due a good overhaul of cleaning and new blinds. Another set of keys would’ve been very useful too.We had a great time and were very comfortable.

The house is very convenient for central Wellington and the bedrooms are all a good size. The second bathroom doesn’t have a door on it, although there is one between the kitchen and the room, it is a bit unusual. The dining chairs are very soft indeed and need to be replaced.It’s a really good choice though and has everything we needed so recommended for families to have a great base in Wellington.

Great location, handy to villlage shoos, downtown Wgtn & Botanical Gardens. excellent size bed rooms & lounge, great kitchen & all the cooking essentials there .Enjoyed our stay, would def recommend for family & larger groups.

The house is an older house, which the listing states. The second bathroom and laundry was a little unconventional, but worked for us. The location was great, not far from town or other tourist attractions. Parking was available but a little tight with the van we rented. We had our whole family staying, 6 adults and 2 children and the bedrooms worked great for us.

There were no shops within walking distance.We ubered to the Woolworths when we needed supplies.Everything was very clean and well appointed.

Lovely home

This was a lovely stay, I just wish we had more time there to explore the area. Great comfortable rooms and very sweet toys and kids books that kept the little ones amused and excited to be there.

Super stay

8 of us (3 couples and 2 singles) had a terrific couple of days at this house. It was very convenient and worked really well as a Wellington base for us.

Wonderful Wellington

Fabulous holiday home for all weathers

The fact that it rained some of the time did not matter as there were plenty of board games for the children even fishing in colder weather was fun

Fabulous place to stay

Really fabulous big house with everything you need for a great stay. Four huge bedrooms and 2 bathrooms/shower rooms. Big dining/kitchen room and living area. Right on edge of Wellington centre with just a 10 minute walk to shops/bars/restaurants. Only 2 minute walk to Tinakori village. We couldn't have wished for anything better.

A fabulous option!

We had a lovely time at this property with our extended family from visiting from Australia. The house is not only in a lovely and convenient location it is well equipped with all the essentials in every room. The home itself is a beautiful spacious character villa that is cosy and inviting and suits a large group really well. We will definitely recommend and stay again.

Peaceful, Spacious Urban Edge Villa

Awesome, well equipped villa - a home away from home. Very cosy, warm with electric blankets and heaters in every room. The children enjoyed the games and Netflix. Very easy to walk to the Botan's, local pub for dinner - ubers just a call away. We will be back - thank you!

Good location

Nice villa with lots of room, the owner was really helpful by cutting back his tree a little so we could park our van as parking is a huge issue in Wellington and also mailed back a forgotten item. Thank you Amanda

Grand Old Villa on Grant Road

This property is beautiful. Full of charm and character. Loved our stay here. A peaceful haven so close to the city. Very comfortable. Loads of room. If you want 'sterile hotel' this is not the place. If you want a cosy and welcoming retreat, this is it. ❤️

The property is as advertised. It is a funky, old, moderately restored home. We were all comfortable. The beds were amazing. We all slept better than at home. Loved that each room could be climate controlled depending on each person. We did not have a car, but Uber is inexpensive and Cuba St for eating and shopping is a quick ride. There is a bars and a small market walking distance from the home. If you want to treat yourself to an amazing plant based dinner go to Hillside Kitchen. A quick walk away from the property.
