Superb apartment in prime location - Ludlow centre just minutes from ski slopes

We live in England and discovered the town of Ludlow when a family member bought a property here. We fell in love with the town, it has a community feel to it and everyone is very friendly. I had also skied here in the past, having taken up skiing at an age when I really ought to have known better! So we followed our dream buying a house in the town and creating the apartments for others to also share in our dream, albeit just for a week or so.

We bought this 1850s Greek Revival house that had been sadly neglected because we liked its position adjacent to the Town Hall, which is in the historical district of Ludlow village. We looked past its sad appearance to envisage a new future. Working with local tradesmen we began the process of renovation. We also researched the past owners and thought about its original design.We put a new staircase in the back of the property and in the process discovered there had been a staircase there originally. We ended up taking out walls to create new, bigger spaces. Put in new electrics, plumbing and heating and included foam insulation to ensure a warm cosy house. We retained and refurbished original wooden floors where ever possible. The old draughty windows were also replaced with new efficient replacement windows. We are delighted with the finished result and hope you will like it as much as us. .
