On a hot summer's day, pour yourself an ice-cold beverage and enjoy the long sunshine hours parked up one of the beanbags on the deck, surrounded by greenery and the chorus of birdsong.

Unwind in the evenings and stay entertained with the TV with a Freeview and DVD player, an assortment of board games and books, and you’ll have the perfect winter ambience, courtesy of the wood-burning fireplace at Pine Tree Cottage.

Recreate all your favourite dishes with ease in the fully equipped kitchen. Imagine cooking up a tasty breakfast for the troops and coming together around the dining table to enjoy your feast, the perfect fuel for a bluebird day on the slopes!

Pine Tree Cottage sleeps up to four guests across two bedrooms, suiting a small family, friends or a couple’s retreat keen for an alpine escape. A bathroom, washing machine and dryer offer ample convenience during your stay.

If you’re an avid skier, hiker, or mountain biker you’ve come to the right place. When you’re ready to hit the slopes, the Turoa ski field is a 23-minute drive away, and Whakapapa is a slightly further 46 minutes journey. During a summer stay, hike the Hapuawhenua Viaduct or cycle the Old Coach Road Bike Trail.

The Ohakune Carrot Adventure Park is less than a 5-minute stroll from your doorstep also, which is perfect for the kids. Afterwards, head up to the road to the Ohakune Tavern for a bite to eat and a chilled beverage.

Wish the listing indicated there was no heat except for a wood fireplace. There as a bird in it, which we had to remove to get the place warm.Made for a good memory! Good location, easy to get to town and local attractions. Comfortable furnishings.

The property was tidy and in a great location. 6 min walk to the playground. The kitchen dishes were not very clean and we had to prewash before we used them (this would have been from a previous booking not cleaning properly on departure) and is not a reflection on the hygiene of the property overall. There was a great supply of wood for the fire, which could do with a service as the vent becomes stuck closed. Otherwise the property was homely and comfortable.
