Very Good Location. Cleanlineas. Poor communication. Heating not working properly. Shower Curtain on main windows tgat does not cover or vlock the light.

Great price, especially for the location. We had a sensitive neighbor complain because the property door was left slightly ajar when one of our guests needed help getting up the elevator. Also had some sound complaints despite not being loud at all. In fact we were hardly at the property, as were out working majority of the time. We needed to extend our trip on the day of checkout. While the host / property manager were open to assisting us to complete the extension to our booking, the STAYS staff were struggling to get it sorted due to their booking system not being able to extend the booking on same day of initial check out date. In the end, after many long phone calls with the Stays staff member and the property manager, we finally came up with a strategy to fix things and ensure we were in the system to stay the extra days. Unecessary headaches, but partly our fault for not initiating the extension until the day we were meant to check out.

This property is tired and damaged and needs a thorough clean. Kitchen is very greasy. Window coverings consist of a blind, a sheer curtain and a SHOWER curtain which doesn’t actually cover length of windows so no light blockout. Bathroom is dirty and grout is mouldy. There is a crack in ceiling above shower (re 30 cm long) and ceiling is falling downwards. Water damage of vanity unit because it’s not level. Location was excellent. Tram stop at front door. One block from Bourke Street mall.

Accommodation booked was not available and an alternative was offered being at 620 Collins St. Location of alternative accommodation is suitable for most activities in Melbourne thanks to accessibility to Trams and Trains. Alternative accommodation was worn with various items damaged that impacted directly on the stay - such as the blind that covered the door to access the balcony area being unable to be opened, as it was already damaged it does not appear to be new. We had planned to cook using the oven on Christmas Day however the door was damaged/bowed and not suitable for cooking. All surfaces were dirty, Pillows had hair and stains on them, towels were almost thread bare and smelt like cigarettes. The Host was responsive to my complaints and did arrange for a team to attend the accommodation after the first night. It seems the host is possibly being let down by the cleaning contractor - as it appears all surfaces were given a quick wipe down with the same cloth - with hard surfaces looking worse than before they arrived. I was able to follow up with a vacuum and we left the accommodation overall in a better condition than we found it,

Trams are a few steps from the entry. Collins Street is a major street in the centre of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It was laid out in the first survey of Melbourne, the original 1837 Hoddle Grid, and soon became the most desired address in the city. Collins Street was named after Lieutenant-Governor of Tasmania (then Van Diemen's Land) David Collins who led a group of settlers in establishing a short-lived settlement at Sorrento in 1803.

The eastern end of Collins Street has been known colloquially as the 'Paris End' since the 1950s due to its numerous heritage buildings, old street trees, high-end shopping boutiques, and as the location for the first footpath cafes in the city. As with all main streets in the Melbourne city centre, the Hoddle Grid is exactly 99 feet wide which would allow for the installation of trams in 1885. Blocks further west centred around Queen Street became the financial heart of Melbourne in the 19th century, the preferred home of major banks and insurance companies, a tradition which continues today with the most prestigious office blocks and skyscrapers found along its length.
