"I'd Rather Be Fishing" is our Motto.

Fisherman's Paradise - The stand out feature of this property is the large secluded block of land, very flat and perfect for parking boats and trailers, and plenty of room for all the vehicles. Now with new state of the art fish cleaning area.

This 5 bedroom house has just undergone renovations, with new owners - and is now available for the first time to the holiday rental market.

Please remember.... as owners, we don't live full time on the island.... and there is no laundry service on the island. For this reason you are required to bring your own sheets, pillowcase, sleeping bag or doona, as well as bath towels and beach towels.

NOTE: bookings are only accepted from Saturday - Saturday (with a 3 night minimum…. Please message us prior to booking, if you want something different)

This well-appointed house caters for all your holiday needs. "Id Rather Be Fishing" comes with a fully equipped kitchen, 5 spacious bedrooms - Master bedroom has an ensuite (shower and toilet).

Main bathroom with full size bath and separate shower.

Separate second toilet.

Laundry with full size automatic washing machine.
Plenty of freezer space in laundry for bait.

Plenty of fridge and freezer space in the kitchen for all your groceries.

Each bedroom has brand new Long Single Ensembles. 4 bedrooms have 3 beds, and one bedroom has 2 beds - with a fold out sofa in the lounge area for extra guests.

Two dining areas with seating for 16, and a very spacious lounge room with large L shaped lounge.

A large BBQ is provided in the fully covered entertainment area along with an outside kitchen - so you can fully entertain outside. We have even mounted a TV outside so you can catch up on your sport of choice.

For those who enjoy the feeling of camping we have a fire pit to sit around on those cooler nights. (Must bring your own wood)

The house was perfect and suited us to a T. Plenty of space inside, we had everything we needed and plenty of space outside for the kids to play. We really enjoyed our stay! :)

Exactly what we were hoping for!The house was super clean, and checking in was so easy. The directions to get there were straightforward and simple to follow. It was fantastic to find that the property looks exactly like the listing pages. The outdoor entertainment area was excellent and a huge bonus for our stay. Thanks for a great experience!

Great Place!

We had a wonderful stay at this property! It was located in an excellent spot and suited all our needs! The owners were extremely accommodating and allowed us to stay an extra night at short notice due to being unable to get off the island due to the cyclone. We would happily rebook again in the future!Thanks for having us!

We were a bit stressed having a house full but the house and amenities didn't skip a beat. Hot showers plenty of space. All the fridge and freezer space you could need. Just the perfect oasis to return to after a big day fishing, exploring or beaching. Great hosts

had a grate stay at the property plenty of room, bed could use a brake stop them from moving around, on the shower in on sweet could do with a different shower head about to brake off the same as the toilet seat in the main area not attached very well, other then that awesome love it thank you

We are a fishing family from South of Brisbane..... and have been going to Fraser Island, yearly, for over 35 years. We have done the camping on the beach in swags, then tents, then vans... then moved on to renting holiday properties.... until a property finally became available to purchase. We have now made this house available to other keen holiday makers, so you can enjoy all that Fraser Island has to offer - and be comfortable while you do it.

Please remember.... as owners, we don't live full time on the island.... and there is no laundry service on the island. For this reason you are required to bring your own sheets, pillowcase, sleeping bag or doona, as well as bath towels and beach towels.

Orchid Beach is about as Perfect as it gets. Waddy Point is the perfect place to launch boats, or just fish from the beach.

"Id Rather Be Fishing" is a full bricks and mortar home. You will feel like you are at home. It's the perfect place to safely bring your boats or jet-ski's and know they will be safe. The block is flat, and HUGE, so parking and storing watercraft and vehicles is no problem.
