Welcome to my centrally-located home a few blocks from Downtown, sound-proofed fully contained basement suite. This suite is in a great location close to a shopping mall, restaurants, gym, grocery store, parks and many businesses. There are buses and taxi's available in the vicinity. The suite is bright and modern, and cool in the summer.

Very close to everything. It is a basement suite, so low ceilings...particularly in the shower. Probably only 6' in the shower, which was OK for us. Nice and cool even coming back from a day that was 34°C outside.

Owner was communicative and easy to work with pre-checkin. You're in a basement with zero sound-proofing, so your sleep is entirely dependent on the upstairs tenants. On our trip, they were partying til 2am and 4am. No instructions or obvious way to access the backyard shown in photos. Beds were thin and creaky. Basement toilet pump is super loud. The place was generally clean and had decent supplies. Decent location. I won't stay here again because there's no way to ensure a good sleep.

This basement suite had all the necessities and was accurate in that it was a very central location in Kelowna. Furnishings/dishes/washroom could use some upgrades, but overall a practical and economical accomodation.

Had a very comfortable stay in this home, the AC worked well in the hot summer and the beds were comfortable.

Comfortable and close to hospital

We were using this property for a month while my dad was getting radiation. It was close and comfortable and Rob was great to deal with!

A friendly,helpfull host. The place was very clean and as advertised. Very close to shopping,restaurants,transport. Walk into city.Highly recommend.

Although there were housekeeping issues when we arrived, the owner came right away to fix them. We are very satisfied with our stay at this accommodation.

Good for short visit

The suite needs a deep scrub, walls were dirty, our socks got quite dirty, left over coffee filter in machine, hair in the blankets, stained mattress cover, cleaning staff could be more thorough, the property mgr was kind and apologized for the cleaning staff

Good stay

As advertised, no surprises. If you have mobility issues (as my friend did) rent the upstairs suite, the stairs were a bit of an issue for her.

Dirty but cheap

The property is not very clean. Hair on the bathroom walls, sink was not draining, beds were very uncomfortable, only one extra pillow in the entire place. Owner did not contact us once. Overall it is cheap and close to downtown, but the place is not very nice at all.

Difficulty getting in. Short on towels in kitchen and bath. Unsure how to control temperature. We knew there was a car charger, but for future guests, it would be good to say it is for a Tesla. Washer, dryer and dishwasher nice. Was no dishwasher soap. Kitchen table only for three; we ate in livingroom area. Spacious closets. Beds good.

Experienced Better ...

Agree with other 4/10 reviews. Not given correct entry code. Photos are deceiving. Stayed in winter. No heat control in unit. Provided with one mini space heater for entire suite. Ceiling not sound proofed, noisy vrbo renters upstairs. Coffee and whitener provided but no sugar. One dirty used face cloth on bathroom towel rack supplied. Suggest owner spend 3 nights there in winter, with renters upstairs, sleep in each bed and use the kiddy sized shower.

Thanks for not contacting me and airing your concerns with regards to your issue. I have additional space heaters and if the people upstairs were making to much noise I could have corrected that. As for the shower, it’s in the pictures.

Poor communication and unclean but cheap

Property owner Rob seemed disinterested in communicating with me from get go and I had to request from him check-in information day before arrival as he did not provide. Rob did not check in with us on our stay or ask if we were okay at any point. Check-in was fine post request of details, however once inside and spending time inside the suite, it was very unclean and felt in need of updates badly. Bathroom covered in hair & other gross things, plus the shower was very dirty and small. At 5’7” I towered over the top of the shower head which was not advertised as being a compact shower. In the kitchen, utensils, plates, cookware, and stove area were dirty, caked in food, and greasy. Had to wash the kitchen before felt comfortable using. Baseboards, walls, floors covered in dirt and grime; definitely needs paint job and scrubbing. Bathroom door and bedroom doors didn’t fully close either, so you could hear everything. On our second night, the air conditioning did not work and we only learned it was a problem still the next day because we happened to run into the upstairs suite guests who informed us of issues/repairs. Never heard from Rob which is pretty odd considering there were multiple guests in the full house (upstairs & basement suites) and broken A/C seems like pretty important thing to communicate to guests. Positives were it was cheap. Next time I’ll pay for a hotel because it will at least be cleaner, better communication, taller shower, and better repair.

I typically don't check in with guests as I like to give them there own space. My phone number is in the book that I provide, shouldvthey need anything. Unfortunately, this guest did not reach out to me and I had zero communication with her. I have very few complaints about cleanliness in the past and nothing even close to a review like this. I have had many guests tell me how comfortable my suite is and some guests even stayed for many weeks. With regards to the shower it is smaller but many tall people have stayed and never complained. It is a gross exaggeration to say a 5'7" person could tower over the shower. I inspected the suite before you arrived and did not find any of the things you described. This review is blatantly untrue. The AC was not broken, however due to the fact that you turned on the space heaters, the AC ran continuously which affected the upstairs unit only. In addition, since you left the suite the AC has been working perfectly. Furthermore, the suite is nicely updated and the photos on vrbo are current and not misleading in any way and can be verified with other guests who can confirm.
