This is a great retreat! If you want to get away from the city and seek peace and quiet this is it!Great size for a smaller group, and dog friendly too.Amazing view from all levels. The pool table, sauna and cold plunge are just added bonuses.The cabin is equipped with all amenities you will need, and Hope is a short 15 minute drive away for restaurants and groceries.

Sunshine Valley Retreat

Beautiful house, nice neighborhood. Loved the morning mountain views, the sauna, the well-appointed kitchen. Perfect for 4 middle-aged overworked overtired mums in need of a rest.

Absolutely amazing!!

This place was beautiful!! It was spacious and cozy, with a great deck and everything you could posssibly need to be comfortable! My family had no problem relaxing away from the city in this beautiful home :)

Amazing Cabin Away From The Busy City

Owners are great for communicating, super quick and very hospitable. Amazing views of the mountain, beautiful wood fireplace, peace and quiet away from the noise. Amazing log cabin with beautiful features.

Haven in the forest

Gorgeous cabin nestled in the forest, close enough to Hope and all amenities to be distant but also convenient. Kat was awesome as a host and super responsive! Would definitely stay again in any season

A great short stay

We stayed at this stunning property over 3 days in early July 2025. It was a perfect location to escape the us July 4th fireworks. We did day trips to Harrison Hot springs, Hope and to lightning lake. All very easy with this central location. Everything in the house was as described and we enjoyed the sauna with the amazing view, and all of the outdoor living on the great decks. Only tiny area for improvement would be to update the instructions for the gate. Thanks for sharing your home with us. Thank you.

Really great cabin but checkin was a bit hard

The cabin amenities and views of this listing are awesome. The owner provided with everything including games and bathroom supplies. The only issue was the checkin process where the gate clicker did not work properly and we had to get in contact with the owner multiple times and parking was for only one car which is strict I understand are strata rules but def not convenient given the other parking is 600m away and we had to always take two cars to get the second party back to the cabin.

Friends getaway

The property was pretty much as described. One big difference was that I didn’t see that the bedroom downstairs did not have a bathroom on the same floor. The stairs up to the second floor were quite steep, which made it difficult at night when I needed to use the washroom, the kitchen facilities and deck were very nice. The sauna was a lot smaller than I expected. The owner was very responsive when we had questions about the door, the Wi-Fi connection and the front gate key overall a good visit.

Beautiful house in a lovely mountain setting

The house was wonderful. Beautifully designed and very solidly constructed. The two spacious outdoor decks/patios and sauna provided great space for spending time outdoors. The house is close to many great hikes in Manning Park. Be aware that the downstairs bedroom and leisure space is reached by a steep flight of stairs, so would not be ideal for small children or anyone with mobility issues. The stairway has a gate to keep small children away if you're traveling with them. We loved the setting right in the mountains, but we did pick up some noise from nearby highway and ATV trails. The house is so solidly constructed, though, that we didn't hear noise in the house...just when we were on the patios. All in all, a lovely stay!

Good place, questionable value

There must be some issues with the VRBO app (aside from it being the worst platform I've ever used). Check-in was complicated and only partial information was provided on VRBO. Catherine was great at quickly sharing her number and helping out. It's a beautiful place. But we had a few things: 1. Ice maker didn't work 2. downstairs bed was not very comfortable 3. Internet was not reliable 4. Garbage started to pile up 5. Sound travels super easily and doors slam shut making a great deal of noise 6. Sound system was not configured so we couldn't use it even though it was highlighted in the pictures The sauna and plunge pool are amazing. The BBQ was also excellent. But I think just a few comfort details could really boost this place. The room upstairs could easily have a larger bed. (just giving feedback here) Making the downstairs sofa a comfortable pull-out would be a tremendous value add. The extra bed that was provided hurt my friend's back. I will be paying for his portion of the bill because he had such poor sleep during his stay. If you are a family that can stay in the same beds and limits it to the two included, this would be a great place. And check about the freezer. Ice is a must.

Amazing property set in a wonderful mountain location. I would recommend this property for anyone looking to find an upscale cabin with fantastic amenities and a great host.
