Beach 🏖️ trip

Perfect for kids

Being in Fort Fisher, in the complex was nice as it did not have a lot of traffic. The proximity to the walkway to the beach was perfect for our kids to go and fish as we watched from the deck. Exactly what we needed.

Great condo with a great location.

We loved the condo. Very clean, exactly as described. The location was fantastic, literally steps away from the beach access, pool was outside the front door, and the condo itself was away from busy traffic. Beach wasn’t crowded. Condo was well stocked with movies, a few books, and blankets/pillows.

ALL GOOD!

My husband & I found this to be prefect. Clean, quiet, plenty of books and family movies for entertainment. Five minute walk to the never crowded beach. Enjoyed coffee while watching sunrise on our large deck. Family oriented area. Five - 10 minute drive to local restaurants, grocery store, aquarium and ferry for a nice trip to Southport.

Summer Weekend w Fam

June 2023- We enjoyed our long weekend at this property - BEACH was great/ not crowded and built sand castle w 3 yr old that we added to every day and watched from our balcony. Easy access to adjacent pool. 2nd Bedroom little small w just dble bed; But nice open floor plan for living/dining/kitchen. Very clean and kitchen/dining well stocked (we made most meals)- Enjoyed dinner seating on balcony. Very Convenient to Aquarium/Ft Fisher/Carolina Beach and short drive to Downtown Wilmington. NOTE FOR KIDS - couch frame on arms needs more padding/ our 3yr old hit head and grateful not hurt

Nice Location - tough beds

This is a nice location right on the beach. The owner thoughtfully decorated the unit. I liked the coffee makers. Could use more pans. Internet was good. We found a dead cockroach on the floor in the kitchen. The biggest issue we had was the beds. They were not comfortable. The master bedroom mattress was not great. The second bedroom mattress was terrible. Hopefully they get some new mattresses. We actually left a day early to go to a hotel so we could get a good night sleep on a better bed.

Really liked the place/location. Bed and Ant Problems

Queen Size bed too short for 6’3” Bed infected with bed bugs. Each morning new bites different parts of body. Husband sprayed with insect spray after second night didn’t sleep under covers, no more bites. Washed bedding hot water same results. Ants were in kitchen area. Didn’t like person coming in for maintenance, and not being notified still had ants.

Hi Angela, thank you for your feedback. We have thoroughly inspected this unit and have seen no evidence of bed bugs. We will treat accordingly, as these kind of reviews are very impactful on future guests. Kure Beach does have sand fleas this time of year that will bite and those bites often take a few hours to show up. These bites are commonly mistaken for other things, as they are delayed in showing up and you normally don't feel you're being bitten. We hope this helps! Additionally, if you ever have any worries of this nature we encourage you to reach out to the host during your stay so they are able to investigate and resolve any issues or clear up any confusion while you're there!

Nice stay, great location

Overall this was a nice unit and the listing accurately represents the property. The realty company was clear in their communications with us throughout the stay. The good: The beach is very close. This is an end unit and right next to the pool and a very short walk to the beach. The AC keeps the unit as cold as you want. All appliances are in working order. There is a regular coffee maker and a k cup type of maker. There are plenty of utensils. There were plenty of bath towels and washcloths. The TVs are all smart and there were books and DVDs to enjoy as well. Nothing ever felt crowded (the pool or beach). There were four of us who stayed for the week, and we had plenty of room. The internet worked well and we were able to plug in a CAT5 cable for work. The opportunities: This unit seems to be new to rentals. The kitchen only has one frying pan so if you’re frying bacon and eggs you’ve got to do it one thing at a time. The unit would benefit from having a full set of pans. The unit was clean overall but I did have to clean the bath tubs. The tub inserts are old and I assume whoever was cleaning them thought they were stained. I almost always have to clean bathtubs in rentals so this was typical for me. We also had to go to the realty office to pick up and drop off parking passes. The office is on the way in but it would have been nice for those to be left in the unit vs us having to pick up and drop off. Overall we enjoyed our time and would rent this unit again.
