This was indeed a country hideaway, very peaceful and relaxing. Little tricky to find despite good instructions, and about 30 minute walk to main area, but delivered as promised. Basic but comfy, well supplied in most areas, and the fire place keeps the place toasty in winter months.

Perfect for our needs as a base to explore Wairarapa. Close enough to shops if needed, but secluded enough to think you were in the country. Very clean and very responsive host. Ngā mihi nui.

Rest & Relaxation

My family loved our stay. It was so quiet and peaceful that we would have been quite happy to stay without leaving the property. Having shops and other places nearby is just an added bonus!

Lovely to come back to this accommodation, this time in the summer. The outdoor deck, table/umbrella and wood fire was awesome. Recommend this place for a family or two couples.

Quick break from city life

We enjoyed a relaxing couple of nights away from busy life in Wellington. Super comfy beds, a lovely warm fire, sheep and alpaca over the fence and kereru on the sky. The perfect winter escape.

Nice quiet bach in a rural area close to Featherston

Well equipped with good indoor and outdoor space. Lovely location. Great host. Just marked down cleanliness due to evidence of creatures in the house.

Relaxing and Clean Cottage

This cottage is amazing. It was so clean and new inside. The beds were super comfy and we all got such a great sleep. The area itself was great for peace and quiet and relaxing with a wine and cheese platter. The host was very accommodating and even notified us ahead of road conditions for getting to the place safely.

An immaculately clean and tidy wee house in a peaceful country location. The evening was chilly and so we enjoyed the fire. Thanks very much.

Pleasant Wairarapa property

A nice rural property to stay at for a break from city life. Very, very clean on arrival. Beds are comfy. Lots of bird life to watch and listen to. Cottage located beside the paddocks of the main home, so there are sheep and alpacas nearby which adds an interesting and rural aspect. Easy and quick access to Featherston for any grocery needs etc.

Peaceful and relaxing

Really enjoyed staying at this home away from home. Loved the feel and relaxing atmosphere. You are hidden away from busy places but near enough to enjoy the sights of the Wairarapa. Warm with a fire and heaters. Well furnished and carpeted. Bedding was lovely and warm. Such a peaceful home with lots of nature - was awesome to wake up and see a bunch of Llamas visiting us for breakfast! Hope to be back soon.

Perfect getaway

This house is a wee gem! Beautifully tucked away in a rural setting and yet close to the shops, it’s really the perfect location! The hosts were super friendly and helpful, going out of their way to remedy a wee issue with the tv. We felt very welcome and at home. The house is homely, comfortable and has all the comforts of home. We can’t wait to make this our regular getaway location! Will definitely be back.

Relaxing Stay in the nature

It was a good location with lot of birds activity around the house. Didn't feel like living so close to town. There was good space around house for kid to play. House is well equipped. We did day trips to Castlepoint and Masterton park which would have been bit of a drive from wellington for a day trip with kid. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would defiantly recommend.
