Great, quiet weekend. Love hanging out stargazing. Only suggestion would be 3P check in and 11a check out like most hotels / properties.

Loved it! A nice little getaway.

Enjoyed the feeling of remoteness while still being so close to Wimberley... complete with beautiful sunsets and lots of stars in the night sky.

Great cabin in the woods

Lovely, cozy cabin in the woods. Close enough to town for amenities but far enough away to feel the peaceful countryside.

Mini-Moon

We spent two days at the cabin as the first part of our honeymoon. We enjoyed our stay and loved the location-Wimberly is charming.

Quite and cozy

It was a great home base while we had fun in Wimberly. We didn’t really need internet or tv, but be mindful if you would like that feature.

Nice Quiet Spot

We loved that the unit was in the back corner of the "neighborhood". Very quiet. Close to town but secluded also.

Peaceful, secluded and clean.

Overall great stay! Place was extremely clean and well kept! Loved th secluded setting and privacy the cabin offered. Our only complaints were the beds were extremely hard ( like laying on the floor) , and the a/c in the master bedroom was really loud and leaked onto the nightstand 2 of the days we were there. Would recommend to th host to add some complimentary waters or something similar.

Cabin was very neat and clean nice decor very updated and modern however we thought the checkout time is too early. It’d be better if it was 11 or 12 noon. Also, there can be more lighting outside specially with the daylight savings time it gets darker sooner so we couldn’t enjoy the outdoors as much because there’s only one light outside

Quiet Relaxing Weekend

This is a charming cottage in a private quiet spot on the property. The place was well-equipped in the kitchen. Having the dedicated firepit was a great addition. We were able to enjoy a fire outdoors and relax after a day of visiting nearby destinations. Overall, its a perfect spot for a quiet and relaxing Austin getaway. Not in the hustle and bustle of all the activities but near enough to drive and come back to a peaceful place. Will definitively come back again!

Clean, accessible, and cool

We had a great stay in the Alpine cabin. The cabin itself was clean and well maintained, with all of the necessary kitchen accessories. Access to town is very close as well, with some good restaurants a great game shop near enough, and a bustling downtown. The cabin had three mini splits (ductless AC units mounted on the wall) in it which were quiet and kept it cool. I was very impressed with the investment that went into the cabin. I would definitely come back. (-:

Remote, Private Getaway

Overall a positive experience. The cabin was very private, clean, and updated. Given other options in Wimberley, this was a fantastic stay for a good value. A couple of surprises: the paths to the cabins are quite overgrown and difficult to navigate after dark. Fortunately, we were in a large truck for the weekend, but I would not have felt comfortable going up the hill in my usual car. Shower water smells of sulphur. We were very grateful for the secluded location, though. And the views are lovely!

Pass this property and look for other options. You’ll save yourself $700+ . Within minutes of arriving we got a text saying we couldn’t use the fire pit due to a no burn ban. Our entire trip was based on wanting to sit by the fire pit and have s’mores . We had already bought all the supplies ! Not even an hour later or arriving the AC in the bedroom began to leak like a waterfall. We notified them immediately and told us just to turn it Off. They never sent anyone to fix it. Also, the biggest issue with the property is the intense sulfure fumes inside the home. I got so dizzy we had to run out and get fresh air. We looked at their reviews after the fact and noticed the same issues have been repeat issues since 2024. They just have low effort management of this peppery. There is lack of transparency of issues with this property . You’ll hear shooting of cans right by the property. We had to sleep in one room upstairs with the low ceiling 2 adults and one child because there was no AC in the downstairs bedroom. We had worst sleep trying to squeeze into a queen bed. We left early because we couldn’t bare to sleep a night like that again. The property management just played stupid the whole time claiming they didn’t get our videos. Skip this and find something else. Nightmare vacation cabin with nightmare low effort management.

Shower and location

The cabin itself 5 stars, I really enjoyed the long weekend getaway in the cozy secluded cabin. I loved everything inside and out besides the shower. As far as communication, I was a little disappointed. I received two last minute messages Wednesday night (set to check in Thursday night) about there being a small leak in the master bedroom A/C and to avoid using it. We only stayed Thursday to Sunday but the “minor issue” wasn’t going to be fixed until Monday. The other Communication was no one’s fault, just a bummer. We were really looking forward to sitting out by the fire pit but there happened to be a burn ban in effect at the time of our stay. Oh well, things happen. The shower was kind of a bummer, barely any water pressure, the water in the shower turned off on my partner during his morning shower. Everything else was lovely and we really enjoyed our stay. It was a perfect weekend getaway!
