Native bush splendor

A restorative and relaxing few days in this beautifully restored character home. We loved having our fur baby with us and the house is well set up for that. The native bush-lined driveway is magical, and we loved walking around the property's gorgeous grounds to the sounds of birds singing. Paradise.

A peaceful environment with great facilities

Comfortable beds, plenty of towels, and plenty of outdoor seating. Superb range of cooking vessels, plates etc. We would recommend having more chairs or couches in the living room... what was there were not particularly comfortable and seating was not sufficient for our group.

Holiday

The house was beautiful the lawns could have been mowed. We couldn’t fine the BBQ and wish we had the internet couldn’t fine the hair dryer but apart from those things was a lovely stay we would recommend to family and friends thank you for having us.

Forest House is warm, comfortable, spacious and attractively furnished. It is in a private and quiet setting close to Lake Ferry and Martinborough. The cleaning fee was on the high side for just 2 people, but it was very clean and well maintained and there was no problem keeping warm in winter with the fire and Air conditioning. Great communication, enjoyed our time at Forest House. Only thing we missed was a normal sized oven tray and a normal sized cheese grater! Other than that, perfect.

Lovely bog home but very unkept and dirty. Outside, lawns weren't mowed, definitely needed to water blast as slime build up, made surfaces slipery, outdoor furniture covers were ripped also. Inside, mold in the milk throffer, inside the kichen bins, most window cills were covered in cob webs, spiders, flys and very dirty. Wall paper lifting. Dark hair found in beds that weren't slept in. Loved the place but definitely needs work and a proper clean and upkeep.

We’re disappointed to read your comments regarding cleanliness and upkeep, as this is not the standard we aim to provide. Your feedback has been passed directly to our cleaning and maintenance teams so these items can be reviewed and addressed, including outdoor maintenance and specific areas you’ve mentioned inside the home. The property is in a rural setting, and while regular exterior maintenance is carried out, weather conditions can contribute to quicker build-up on outdoor surfaces. IT has been raining consistently so lawns can not be mowed when grass is continuously wet. That said, we take your comments seriously and will ensure these areas receive closer attention.
