Holiday Rental

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The stay was really good. The only problem we had was on Friday Night someone came to the house whilst our children were home bamging on the door. Scared our kids they didnt feel safe

To start with the driveway was very narrow which would have been ok if bushes on either side had have been trimmed back to suit the narrow driveway.The we were not give all the keys so we where unable to go out on the back deck where the bbq was. They had to call the cleaner back who than unlocked the dead look to get out. There were no tea towls provided, not every usees the dishwasher all the time. There was only one working light in the kitchen area and it was useless for cooking any type of meal which we liked to do. (We used the lounge light so we see what we were cooking) One other thing at night time on 3 occasions we saw some large cockroaches in thebedroom, lounge and hallway we got 2 of them, so I guess requires somespraying? Having said all of that it was clean great location but suited more for people that eat out al the time.

The Oven fan needs attention but we only ended up using it once and it did the job.

The house was spotless and the pet yard was fully enclosed and no way of getting out. The kitchen had everything needed as well as Tea and coffee and a coffee machine and milk. The location was great and very quite. Was close to everything, could walk to the shops, beach and a number of walking trails. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The bathroom floor was very slippery when wet, need a bathmat that sticks to the floor so it doesn't slide. Would stay again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental was everything we wanted and more. It was clean and has all different sections to relax at for a holiday. We had 2 toddlers and the back area was spacious and closed off making it perfect for us to sit down longer than 5 minutes with a wine in hand. We will be making this an annual holiday at this location - couldn’t knock it!

The house was lovely and had everything we needed,including the little extras in the kitchen that are always needed. The house was lovely and clean and had such a lovely and had such a warm feel to it. We most definitely are coming back to the shack!

Private and comfortable with great facilities and furnishings although the mattresses are on the firm side, not great for our old bones. Offstreet parking and dog friendly on leash coastal walks and beaches nearby.

Extremely disappointing stay – poorly maintained and not as advertisedWe were really looking forward to our stay, but the experience fell far short of what was promised.The ceiling fan in the main bedroom didn’t work, and the pedestal fan provided was extremely dirty, rusty, and unusable. The oven fan was also very noisy and not functional. Several powerpoints and lights throughout the property didn’t work, which made using the home genuinely inconvenient.The overall presentation of the property was very poor. It was not properly cleaned and had spiderwebs throughout. The beds were small and uncomfortable, and one bed squeaked so loudly that even the slightest movement made it difficult to sleep.The environment around the property was also an issue. The neighbouring properties are very noisy, creating a loud and disruptive stay. There were limited flyscreens, meaning we couldn’t ventilate the house without letting insects in.The listing was also advertised as pet friendly, but the reality was the opposite. Not only did neighbours frequently complain about even minor dog noise, but we later discovered a rule buried in the terms and conditions stating pets cannot be left unattended at the property for more than 30 minutes. This was not clearly disclosed on the listing and makes the property highly impractical for anyone travelling with pets.Overall, the property felt poorly maintained, misrepresented, and not suitable for a relaxing holiday.

Short Getaway in Port Macquarie

Property is lovely, very stylish decor and extremely well equipped with good quality cookware with plentiful crockery, glassware and cutlery. It felt like an entertainer's kitchen. The beds were all comfortable, 2 good size queen bedrooms and 1 slightly squeezey double, two bathrooms and a laundry all contemporary and well equiped, indoor and several outdoor dining areas. We got a sense the property is 'brand new' clearly it has had a fresh paint job. Highly recommend. Only downer is the 9.30am checkout but we were given 10.30 on request. The 500 damage bond is a not a hold on your card, but is actually charged and then refunds are only processed Tuesday and Thursday. It's a lovely property and perfect for a friends' getaway.
