Host was phenomenal and unbelievably responsive! The place is nice and remote and exactly as advertised. It's a perfect spot for families with little ones and dogs. The views are amazing. Lots of little trails around the area for a morning walk with a coffee. Absolutely recommend.

The cottage was very nice and as described. It had an excellent view of the lake and a beautiful deck in which to sit on and enjoy. Bird lake is a smaller lake but very pretty. The host was very helpful and easy to communicate with. We thank you very much for sharing your wonderful cottage with us.

The pictures of this property are very accurate but the cottage was not as clean as I would have liked. The lake is small but lovely. I wish we could have enjoyed it more but unfortunately it rained every day we were there. The host, Jennifer, was readily available to offer any assistance. The kitchen was well equipped. The stove needs to be replaced and the host informed us she would be replacing it next year.

We had a wonderful week at this beautiful cottage. It was very clean when we arrived, and is very well equipped with everything you need.We love that it is pet friendly - our dogs loved it there!The host was always very responsive to any questions we had.

Lovely cottage, well-equipped, on a beautiful quiet lake. We particulaly e joed the use of the kayaks and canoes, and the fact that the corridor to the bedrooms had doors to reduce noise for those sleeping late

This spacious, East/NorthEast facing cottage had been built with quality materials. The many large decks afforded time in the sun, or shade, to enjoy coffee or other beverages with many comfortable places to sit.The large bug zapper inside took care of any insects that came in when unloading/loading and on going moves to inside or out. Insects outside rarely caused an issue.The facilities in the washrooms were ‘cottage level’ but well located and clean. In fact the layout of the cottage worked very well even with everyone preparing their own breakfast at once…the large island made this possible.There were short power outages due to storms, but being former cottage owners this was no inconvenience as we were able to use the propane stove and BBQ to make breakfast or lunch. There was an abundance of dishes, cutlery, pots and pans and serving platters and bowls provided. Cleanup and tidying were made easy with excellent dishwasher, washer and dryer, vacuum and and other cleaning supplies.Twice we enjoyed day trips, the first trip was to Gravenhurst to have a late lunch at Dock Of The Bay where the patio was right on the water, and the second was to Bracebridge to visit The Canadian Raceboat Hall Of Fame.All in all it turned out to be an enjoyable week with friends.

Perfect stay on Bird Lake

This cottage was perfect for our family of 6 and our little dog. Some of the things we loved: - Cottage was all on one level. - Bedroom 'wing' could be closed off completely - great for keeping the few bugs out, and keeping it cool. - Lots of things to do - puzzles, games, books. - the lake was a perfect temp for swimming - even in June.- the screened in porch was such a great place to spend time!- the floorplan was perfect - we kept saying this is the perfect home layout!We really enjoyed our week here, and will look it up again if we're planning another trip to the Muskokas!

Nature & Quiet

What an sensational time we had at the cottage; the set up is perfect for the ones seeking to connect with nature and enjoy peace and quiet; the cottage is beautiful and have a great layout; The house wasn’t as clean as I would like upon arrival, and the grass around the fire pit was too tall ,but Jennifer promptly responded to our message and had someone coming by the house in 20 minutes.

Summer escape

Property was exactly what I was looking for. My 91 year old aunt had easy accessibility everywhere with her walker. She could catch some sun on the huge deck and view the lake from inside or out. Standing at the kitchen sink looking out at the lake makes kitchen work a lit more appealing. Super quiet and peaceful. This location perfect for any age had everything you could need. Excellent for kids of any age lots of entertainment. Would stay here again. Loved it

Nice quiet lake

The cottage was clean and had a nice layout on a beautiful lake. The back deck was extremely slippery when wet. I would suggest a carpet or somehow removing the algae? The week we stayed it rained almost everyday (we had lots of games to play inside on the large dining table!), which made for a sloppy walk to the dock and almost sitting in the lake when trying to have a bonfire. Not a big deal but it did make things a bit difficult to walk around.

A great family spot

The cottage itself is amazing. Overlooking Bird Lake with wonderful bedrooms, a great kitchen, a spacious dining room table, a large common room, plus deck, plus “muskoka room,” two canoes, two adult kayaks, one kid kayak, dock, firepit, and a small beach that’s safe to play in. We were looking for a cottage for the family. We have grandkids 4 and 6 and we wanted a place that was fun for them. This was a splendid choice. The kids loved the boating and swimming, and Bird Lake is a great choice for that. My son also wanted a great place for fishing. He, his brother, and I each caught a good sized bass (which we let go back) plus there were a few other “on and offs” that I should’ve landed. The table for dinner was large enough to seat everyone, plus more. Two couches, and a large TV to relax. And the beds were extremely comfortable and great to sleep in. The fire pit is a good one, down near the water. It has a cover. Bonus. Plus Muskoka chairs. There is a dishwasher in the kitchen. Bonus. And a fireplace in the common room if it gets chilly. There is a negative, but not a huge one. The water pressure is not very good. Just plan to live with that one. Laundry can take a while. A shower might be a little to be desired. But again, not a bit one. All in all it’s a fabulous place.

The property was well kept and inviting. The cottage was spacious, and very clean on arrival. It is on a beautiful, accessible lake, and was very family friendly. All guests had a great time!A few minor suggestions for improvement:Some of the overhead lights/ceiling fans were not working properly. Ensuring that these function well would significantly add to comfort on very hot nights days.Detailed instructions for garbage removal/pickup would be beneficial (e.g. local landfill site location in Bracebridge, Muskoka clear garbage bag policy, etc.)Overall, the property and experience were excellent! We would definitely visit again!
