Centrally located private studio in Chemainus

The studio suite is located on lower level while the owner lives on the upper level of the home. The suite has its own private entrance and outdoor patio. My home is close to everything that Chemainus has to offer - Kin Beach and the very best Thai Restaurant in Chemainus is around the corner. Everything is within walking distance - Latte and Expresso coffee, Shopping,, a market and world famous murals that illustrate the history of Chemainus. Also Live Dinner Theatre, golfing, hiking trails. You may want to take a day trip to Thetis Island. This ferry is 1 block from my house. Lots of fun and adventure to be had in our beautiful little town on the sea.

Lovely space with a sweet patio. Sandra, our host, was responsive and generous—there was coffee and cream and even a chocolate bar in the fridge. This was my second stay and I will definitely book again.

A good location for me, close to town and family, and the accommodation had just about everything I needed. Sandra was very welcoming and helpful but not intrusive.I raised an issue about an odour which she explored very promptly.

Quaint and cozy private studio that was very well appointed with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was excellent — very close to the ferry, shops, and everything we needed. Sandy was a wonderful host: friendly, responsive, and quick to communicate. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again.

Sweet little studio, conveniently located within walking distance of many of Chemainus’s attractions. A great place to stay in the heat of summer as it is nicely shaded.

This is an ideal property for a couple. It is quiet and comfortable and reasonably priced. The cottage is within walking distance of restaurants and the theatre in Chemainus, a charming town to visit. The studio has a comfortable bed and furniture. It is in a residential neighbourhood and close to a regional park on the ocean. We recommend it.

I needed a simple studio for a workshop I was taking in the area. I didn’t spend much time at this property other than to sleep, but it had everything I needed and was perfectly located. Communication w owner was outstanding she was so kind and had great recommendations. Beautiful area and some great restaurants and a lovely park on the waterfront all within walking distance.

A charming suite totally in sync with the charm of Chemainus itself. We stayed for three nights as we did lots of visiting in Duncan area with family. This was our quiet haven to relax .

Stay Experience

It was a great little place. Right in town with a lot of local walking locations nearby. The place has a smart tv and good sized bed with a nice large shower. Overall had a great experience!

Great location for walkng and exploring the area. Very comfortable, clean with a well equiped kitchen space for light cooking. Tasty bakery around the corner! Check -in and out very easy. Really enjoyed our stay

Thanks for the positive review and glad you enjoyed your stay. I am sure you were disappointed that a hot tub was listed and not at the suite when you arrived. I never did have a hot tub and unsure how it was listed in the first place. I have since removed that from my listing. I hope, in the presentation of my space, that it shows how much I really enjoy hosting and making a comfortable and clean environment for my guests to enjoy.

Lovely private space. Cute garden area. Very convenient to town businesses and the water. So nice to have coffee, tea and cream handy to start the day, and the bakery around the corner is great. Hoping to stay again when I come back to the island.

Property is thoughtfully designed for function and comfort. It was more impressive than the pictures shown. We enjoyed having our coffee, which our host thoughtfully provided with fresh cream,in the side garden. The rainfall shower was huge and the linens were new and fresh. The location was quiet but near the beach and restaurants in the old town. Perfect stay and spot!

Suite was excellent overall, with a lovely private garden and wooden fence, perfect location, lots of windows, and the most comfortable bed and pillows ever! The only issue was quite small in comparison to all the lovely qualities and that is the shower caulking is in need of a refresh. However, I would definitely stay here again in the future. The kitchen and suite was stocked well with necessary equipment, cleaning/bathing products, towels, and bedding.

It is by the ocean. My home is built in 1927 and I am surrounded by other lovely character homes and gardens. Walking the neighborhood is calming, people are so friendly. Great place to call home. Area is safe and welcoming. It feels good to be here.
