Newly renovated luxury Home with deck, surrounded by trees on a 5 acres land

We had soap available in each washroom, along with toilet paper and paper towels/garbage bags in the kitchen. The property was also thoroughly cleaned by professional cleaners before your arrival, and we shared pictures with you as well.

This guest and the entire group were very difficult to host. During the stay, they raised multiple concerns about the property and requested compensation. Several of the concerns could not be substantiated based on our observations and available records. Despite describing these concerns as serious, the guest and the entire group remained at the property for the entire booked stay. We received a call from the guest only one day before their scheduled departure. Both we and Vrbo made efforts to address the situation and discussed the option of leaving the property, but the guest chose to remain while continuing to request compensation. There were complaints regarding the AC. We responded to the concerns, reset the thermostat, and replaced the air filter as requested. Our thermostat records also show that the AC was operating normally during the stay. The guest also reported moisture and mold concerns. We found no evidence of mold or ongoing moisture as described. We arranged for a contractor to investigate the reported water issue, but the guest did not allow the contractor to proceed with opening a small section of drywall for further investigation. The property had been professionally cleaned before arrival, and we provided photographs documenting its condition. After the stay, several bed linens and mattresses were found heavily soiled and could not reasonably be reused, resulting in additional cleaning and replacement costs. We made reasonable efforts to address the guest’s multiple concerns throughout the stay. However, the repeated allegations and compensation requests made the hosting experience very difficult and disruptive. Based on our experience, we would not host this guest or the entire group again.
