Fantastic, unique accommodation. Friendly and informative host. Beautiful rural setting but only a short drive to all the amenities in Mount Barker and to the freeway. Highly recommended!

The Tin Tabernacle is a lovely place to stay. Out of town but only a short drive to anything you might need. Our host provided lots of small extra comforts and the warm spa was a treat on a cool afternoon.

Lovely stay

Such a wonderful stay. The accommodation is gorgeous and very homely. The hot tub was definitely a highlight!

Wonderful property, spectacular build and we loved the quiet, if you wish to get away from it all this is the place. Lovely touches provided by the owners and would love to get back there.

Lovely location and building.. A comfortable garden setting would have been welcome to have a coffee or read book ..

Thanks for your feedback John, cushions were available for the existing outdoor setting, but have stopped putting them out as no-one uses it. Will be putting them out again now.

What a magical stay! Best value for money you can get in the hills.So well provisioned, many places you go to have little in the way of what you find in a home but this kitchenette had everything. Random stuff, multiple teas and jams, all your implements such as cheese graters, cutting boards, different cloths for wiping, all your dish soaps and cling film- just everything! It made our trip a home away from home. We were able to just relax and enjoy the stunning views as the fog from the cold mountain air rolled over the distant fields dotted with trees and picturesque fences. And the horses were so cute 3 And the spa was lovely, always nice and hot, great feature! The TV being on a swivel allowed us to watch an episode or two from the spa. Perfect location to getaway, we stayed on site almost the entire trip and loved it, so relaxing. Lisa was a lovely host and was easily contactable with clear communication. Lisa - you are a marvel, the artwork you created inside the tabernacle was beautiful, I loved the stained glass windows especially. For others, read the book! It's in the coffee table xoxo

Fantastic

A great place for 2. Such a well designed space, the amount of thought going into the experience was obvious, making it very comfortable. We stayed in both nights rather going out to a restaurant as we wanted to be in the space for longer... definitely recommend it.

Special touches.

Beautiful peaceful location and stunning accommodation with so many special touches. Spa was Amazing. Bathroom is tiny, and chlorine smell from spa can be a bit strong, but overall many more special touches to out weight this. Highly recommended.

A quiet, secluded place to relax

We spent 3 nights in this beautiful modern 'tabernacle'. With its high ceiling and open plan, and the bed screened off from the living area, it felt spacious and airy. The facilities were excellent and we were able to relax completely. It was lovely to sit outside with horses only a few metres away in their enclosure. We also walked in the beautiful bush at Mt Barker Summit, and spent several hours at Laratinga Wetlands, only a few minutes' drive away. Lisa was an excellent host, very friendly and quick to respond to any questions. Thanks very much, Lisa.
