The cottage has 2 bedrooms (a queen bed & a bunk room), full bath, and loft with two beds. Easy access to Ogemaw ORV trails, use of a dock, and sandy swim area. Additionally there is shopping at the Tanger Outlets and several golf courses within driving distance. Local golf courses include: The Dream, The Nightmare, and West Branch Country Club.
Clear Lake has the Clear Lake Bar for great food, TVs for sports, and plenty of music. It also has Clear Lake Party Store within walking distance for hand-dipped ice cream, necessities, beer, and liquor--both the CLB and CL Party Store are within walking distance.

13% Tax includes cleaning fee & processing fee.
Small dogs will be considered for an additional $100/stay, $50/ weekends --large dogs not allowed.
No smoking in the house, deck, and/or docks.

Minimum 7 day stay July and August, 3 day minimum for Labor Day & Memorial Day weekends— 2 days the other 10 months. *Dock space is shared.

Up north great getaway

Rest by the water

Clean meat set up perfectly for a family or small group vacation. Set up by water perfect dock swim spot kayaks pretty private spent most of our time on deck. Has everything available in house to cook barbecue air conditioning nothing negative to say

It was our third year with a weeklong stay in this cottage. This adorable cottage is just a few houses away from where our extended family gathers every July for a family reunion. It’s right on Clear Lake with a deck , a dock, and seating down by the water. Great for morning coffee and loon watching. Evening drink by the lake.

Loved staying here with friend from work! Very close to the trails for riding quads. Owner very friendly and responsive to any questions

Wonderful lake cottage

Very pleasant cottage, inviting, loved the decor. Hosts were very nice and helpful when we first arrived. Very clean inside and out. The hosts take pride in their cottage. We will definitely book again.

Memorial Day weekend

Our stay was everything we hoped for. Larry and Brenda were kind enough to let us check in early and check out late. They were there when we arrived and very helpful in showing us around. So thankful for this weekend stay!

Clear Lake memories 9/22/2023

This house is amazing, absolutely beautiful inside and out. The views are amazing so calm and peaceful. We had our dogs with us and they really enjoyed the swimming and the walks. This house had just about every amenity you could think of, communication with the owner was super easy and very fast response. We plan on staying there again, I highly recommend this place.

Family reunion

Perfect home for our family get together. We meet every July, flying from California and North Carolina. Our extended family stays at a cottage down the street ( that used to be in our family). Our VRBO house has everything, especially a beautiful deck and dock right on the lake.

Perfect Family Getaway

I can't say enough good things about this property. The location was better than we expected—within walking distance of an amazing restaurant/bar (get the pizza!) and a small liquor store. The boat and paddle board rentals were also right next door. The home was tastefully decorated and spotless. There was ample room for our family to spread out on the main level. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed to cook breakfast and dinner while we were there. The home's layout was actually better than we expected. There's so much space upstairs and the ceiling fan quickly cooled it down! There's also a bunk room and full bedroom on the main floor. As if the home couldn't get any better, you walk outside onto a beautiful patio overlooking the water, which lives up to its name! We loved waking up each morning to enjoy our coffee outside. We thought the slope of the yard would affect us but it's actually pretty large and the area around the fire pit was perfect. The deck and dock areas were great for fishing and relaxing! There's a public entrance to the water directly next door, but it worked out for my family as it was where we played cornhole :) The little beach into the water was also great for our daughter to hang out. We also loved that Larry had a spot for us to tie up our pontoon rental - it was extremely convenient to come back to the house if we needed to throughout the day and have somewhere to tie up the boat! All in all I highly recommend this property if you're looking for a close getaway! We loved the neighbors and people in the area we met! Thank you Larry & Brenda! You have an amazing home and you were great, responsive hosts. If you're still doing this next year, we will be back :)

Home away from home! 👍

This cottage on the lake is truly a “home away from home”! The owners definitely took into consideration their guests needs, they definitely did not miss a thing when indicating “well-equipped”; it even has a fishing pole, both propane & charcoal grills and a clock on the bathroom wall😉. We just loved all your well appointed & fun/tasteful interior decorations which added so much warmth to your cottage. The first night was a little chilly so we took advantage of utilizing the fireplace w/heatilator which heated us immediately. Great supply of toilet paper, bath towels/washcloths, kitchen fully stocked including a set of binoculars to view the outdoors & lake life. The knotty pine is stunning, it gives that warm cottage appeal to all. The stairs are lit for safety, the open loft is very clean, comfy king beds, and well appointed details which made us feel right at home. Ceiling fan upstairs & downstairs along with floor fans throughout. The location was PRIME, just steps away from a beautiful shallow lake (we were glad we had our water shoes due to the little pebbles/rocks.) Our Border Collie “fur-baby” LOVED running the property and playing frisbee in the lake, she even hung out & slept at the bomb fire❤️. We took full advantage of the fire pit which is located near the lake. Larry even brought us a pile of firewood which we greatly appreciated and it burned beautifully throughout the late afternoon/evening hrs. The outdoor deck has a nice table w/chairs, chaise lounge chairs, hanging flower pots and great rope lighting for the evening hours which gave such a serene setting, everyone just loved it! Personally, I absolutely loved sitting on their wooden swing which was strategically placed within a few feet from the waters edge🤗. I was in my glory as I sat on the swing smelling the bonfire, watching the boats and listening to the waves from the lake...now this is the life!😉Many early morning fishermen out on the lake which was extremely peaceful as I sat on the deck drinking my coffee in the crisp morning air overlooking the lake, bird feeders and nature. Larry & Brenda, Thank you for stopping by to introduce yourselves, your great hosts! The friendly & prompt responses were greatly appreciated. But, most of all, thank you for sharing your delightful cottage. Thanks to both of you we were able to capture some heartwarming and fun-filled memories which will last a lifetime!❤️ We look forward to our next visit! 😉

Brenda & Larry Wagelin were gracious hosts. Always returned question promptly. Cottage was excellent. Even extended the checkout time a few hours to enjoy the lake . Highly recommended.

The cottage was fantastic, plenty of room and accommodations, lots of extras for us to enjoy. Kayaks and life jackets and plenty of chairs and deck space and fire pit right on the water front. The view is amazing and peaceful. Highly recommend!!

Best Location at Clear Lake

This is our second visit to this beautiful home. I can’t say enough on how much we love this cabin. The location and views are amazing. And, the abundance of outdoor seating made it nice for when our family who lives in the area came to visit. We highly recommend.

Loves everything about it!

Super quiet neighborhood. Lovely cottage. Brenda and Larry had everything we thought we might need and more! They are kind, friendly and super accessible if needed. Clear lake is a beautiful destination. Kayaks were an added bonus! Bar and party store within walking distance. Nice place to park our boat. Launch can be a little congested. But really how much time do you spend there?! Our kiddos are 4, 10 and 13 everyone had a great time. My only negative is that the biggest/best bed was in the loft verse the private room. Pretty minor negative and we understand it was a spacing situation. My girls thought it was awesome though. And didn't stop anyone from having a great week!

Great place!

House is very homey and comfortable. Loved the deck and outside patio to enjoy the weather. We stayed for a baseball tournament, and definitely will stay again. We'll worth the price s staying at one of the two local hotels thar are way overpriced and not clean
