It was perfect for what we needed. Plenty of towels and wash clothes for everyone. Property was clean and comfortable. It was perfect for our 82 year old dad to access. He was able to access the property easily without any steps and lower parking was level for him to maneuver comfortably.. The kitchen, living, dining, the upper deck , main bathroom and bedroom were easily accessible for him without any stairs either.

Lots of room for everyone!

Love that all bedrooms have a bathroom!! Jacuzzi was great!! Plenty of room to hang out in living room and large dining table! Lots of deer and turkeys in the yard everyday!! We would definitely rent again!

Family Friendly cabin. Plenty of room for everyone. The hot tub was great and the location was peaceful. We couldn’t check in for a half an hour after because someone was frantically cleaning when we got there. Also dishes needed to be cleaned before use, counters and table were dirty, furniture needed to be dusted, bathtub upstairs has a super slow drain and basement toilet still had what looked like throw up around the bowl. OTHERWISE, if it had been cleaned well and on time, it is a great property!

The stay was nice but had a few issues. The Hot Tub was not working for the entire stay. The bedroom door downstairs would not close, and the downstairs bathtub had a draining problem. We tried to connect the DirecTv to the bedrooms, but they didn't work and there was no TV remote in the upstairs bedroom.

The home worked wonderfully for our group of 9 mature women! My friends were very impressed with the lodging I selected for our stay. Short trio

Water availability for bathrooms was not good. The outdoor grill was terribly dirty so we could not use it. Despite these issues we enjoyed our stay.

Quick Family and Friends Getaway

The property was nice and everyone had plenty of space and enjoyed their rooms. If there are wet conditions driving to the location would have been a challenge without 4x4. There are some extremely steep inclines. We bought chains the first night because there was a little precip to be safe. Location was good to get to all the activities we wanted to do. Would definitely consider renting again. The town shut down early probably due to limited snow this year. Clearer instructions on where to dispose of the trash bags would have been nice.

Cozy cabin

The cabin was nice and cozy. Location was great away from everything. A little scary getting there with lots of turns and steep hills. Kids really enjoyed jacuzzi. We did not have WiFi the entire time there, even after they reset. We had to have maintenance come service our heater cause the first night they didn’t work. Spiders webs all over the house, don’t think it had been used in a while. Plus the carpets had crumbs and trash from previous stays. Propane tank was empty, we had to go to city to exchange for a fill. The size was great and loved that each room had its own bathroom. Over all our family and friends were happy!

Overpriced broke down house.

It’s unfortunate that this property is fairynee, yet it is already very run down. The carpets are stained and smell bad. The outdoor patio furniture is all busted (we were told the owner is aware but refuses to buy new chairs). The sliding glass door handle falls off if you barely touch it. The deck has broken boards, the food ball table has multiple broken parts. The TV remotes didn’t work, even after they came and replaced the batteries. The beds were hard as a rock and the pillows were flat. At the price per night I paid, I expect better quality and not to have broken furniture.

Recent stay

Upon initial glance everything seemed great with the home but it didn’t take long for us to realize that this home is simply ran down. There are huge holes in the floor tile, the recliner had a huge hole in it as well. The downstairs bathroom toilet tank lid was also MIA. The holes in the wall from the foos ball table were also an eye sore. The main master bathroom sink water didn’t work either and to top it off the carpet tacks were exposed and were pretty painful when you stepped on them bare footed coming out of the master bathroom. The fire alarm went off all night so we had to relocate to teenagers from the 2 upstairs room to the couch. The list goes on and on. If I were the owners of this home I would definitely do some upkeep on this property. It appears as if this home is just an income to the owners or the management company is lacking. The kitchen counters were sticky and there were gloves left from previous renters under the sofa. Plus we rented for 3 nights and had enough coffee for 1 pot. There was no shampoo or conditioner provided; however, they did provide bar soap. As a homeowner of a short term rental home in south Texas I can say this home would never make the rental pool from my management company. Light bulbs were out all over the house and huge cobwebs hanging from the ceiling fan in the living room. At some point this home was nice but the lack of maintenance and upkeep has simply left this house ran down at best.

A home away from home.

This was a great house for our family of 7. We enjoyed our stay and were quite happy to have a home so close to other family members staying next door. The home is well stocked with the basics. Very comfortable inside and out. A home we will recommend to others as well as choose to stay in again when in the area.

Disappointed

The home was disappointing. We had to reuse towels and ran out of trash bags. Light bulbs were burned out all over the house. Road to the house wasn't for cars. No working can opener and nothing to light the grill with. Rugs needed to be washed and the house needs to be sprayed for bugs. We won't rent this home again!

Great house, plenty big for 10 adults.

Cool house, nice hot tub and excellent layout. The kids enjoyed being able to do their own thing down in the game room. Had a slight problem with the a/c and the game room shower but was promptly fixed by Condotel. It was quick access to town for the ladies to shop. Everyone in our party drove an SUV and some were 4x4. The drive down to the house may be tough for a car due to the loose rock road just an FYI. The kids also enjoyed being able to go exploring in the forest all around the house. We would definitely stay here again

Beautiful house with a challenging road

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first time to Ruidoso and our first time staying in a vacation rental and overall it was an extremely pleasant stay! Casa Oso Grande is the place to stay if you’re looking for luxury and style, a great and close location to the town site, space, comfort, privacy, and amazing scenery! However, there were a few minor drawbacks. The house sleeps 10 (we had 10 in our party) with a queen sleeper sofa as the 5th “bed”, and unfortunately this particular sleeper sofa was extremely uncomfortable and therefore wasn’t used as we had planned. Another drawback was the cleanliness of the house. It was surprising to see such an elegant house with unswept floors, primarily in the kitchen and underneath the couches, and the couches with filth in between the cushions, to include a dirty waffle maker. Yes, we were excited to see a waffle maker and use it one of our mornings; however, not only was it dirty, it didn’t work well at all; furthermore, there was a broken can opener which we needed to open several cans (luckily we found another one in different drawer later on). Although I live in Los Alamos and drive on curvy and somewhat steep roads around northern New Mexico, I personally am not a fan of them, and although my husband made the short drive from the town site up to the house enjoyable, the actual road on Abbey Place was very unpleasant; you need to prepare yourself for a steep decline getting down to the house and to the parking space! Thank God it didn’t snow, thank God that part of the road wasn’t graveled, and thank God we each had vehicles that made it fairly easily down the steep decline and back up the steep incline. Last, Jhovany with Condotel provided excellent customer service which made this entire process a satisfying one.
