The property was exactly what we needed in terms of layout, everything was clean, the kitchen was well equipped and the lounge facilities and beds were extremely comfortable. Highly recommend this property!

We had a great break while staying at Glenfern House. The surrounding garden was well kept and extremely relaxing, and the accomodation was comfortable and very clean. Great facilities and this all made for a wonderful trip away. Highly recommend for any people wanting a short relaxing break that is within 1-2 hours from Melbourne.

We loved our stay. There were 8 of us and the space was just perfect. From every window the views were glorious. The garden is spectacular. We had one evening enjoying the firepit. Everything you could want was provided. Lots to see and do in the surrounding area.

With four bedrooms and four bathrooms, the home provided excellent accommodation for our group. The living room had lots of comfy couches and chairs where we could sit and enjoy the views through the picture windows and a large dining table. The state of the art kitchen with its large island bench had everything we needed and more. Wish our stay was longer!

We had such a wonderful time at this beautiful rental home. The house itself was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. But what really made it special was the land it sits on — absolutely stunning. Wide open, peaceful, and so well-kept, it felt like our own private escape

Beautiful Country Villa

Stunning home in a beautiful, quiet area of regional Victoria. Lovely, functional space for my family to stay and get ready for my brother’s wedding.

The process of booking was easy and seamless. The hosts are excellent at communicating with quick, clear answers and instructions. The house itself is absolutely wonderful, clean, well appointed and modern. The kitchen is a big open space for the family to gather, prepare meals and socialise around the enormous bench, while the huge lounge/dining room gave us a relaxing place to sit and relax. Each of the four bedrooms has a well appointed ensuite. While we didn't have anyone who has mobility issues, but it was great to see that one of the bedrooms and bathrooms is wheelchair friendly. Each of the rooms also has its own private access from outside.The setting is beautiful with a landscaped garden surrounding the house. The paved area off the kitchen and lounge has seating and a great BBQ.Every window in the house has a lovely view and being on a large property, not a suburban block, meant that it was quiet and peaceful while only being a few minutes to the shops and wineries.We went with our two adult children, their partners and our dog. We all felt as though we had plenty of space and had a fabulous time. We highly recommend staying at Glenfern House.

peacefull and relaxing

Amazing the home was beautifully furnished and everything needed for the stay was supplied the garden and views just picture perfect. Very relaxing stay.would highly recomend Glenfern house Intrigued by the derelict motel tennis club spent some time googleing the history

Girls weekend

We had a great stay at Glenfern house. The spacious house is in lovely, quiet area. Everything we needed was in the house . The beds were comfy. Communication with the property manager was really good, and check in/out very easy.

Stunning house

My sisters and I spent two nights at Glenfern House and it is a simply stunning, luxurious residence. It is magnificently styled, very comfortable, has every convenience and is surrounded by amazing outlooks from every window. We would definitely recommend Glenfern House to others considering it. My only critique is not of the house itself, which lived up to every expectation, but that the advertised price of the stay is somewhat deceptive. It is advertised as 4 bedrooms - sleeps 8, but AFTER I booked for 4 people I was advised that the price only covers 2 bedrooms and there was a fairly substantial additional cost if we wanted access to 4 bedrooms. It was still worth the extra cost, with each lovely bedroom having its own bathroom, but I feel this additional charge should be in the advertising and not in the ‘fine print’. Otherwise it was the perfect setting for our weekend. Thank you.

Hi Wendy, I am glad you enjoyed your stay and loved the styling of Glenfern House, thanks. However there is nothing deceptive about our rates, as the second paragraph of our listing description clearly states: "The base rate is for 4 guests which includes 2 bedrooms. To add a third bedroom you need to select 6 guests for the correct rate, and to add a forth bedroom select 8 guests." You unfortunately must not have read this. It is very common for properties that provide hotel style bedrooms with private ensuites to have an extra charge for additional bedrooms. Otherwise the other way of listing the rates would be everyone pays the highest rate for 4 rooms, even if they only require 2 rooms, and that would not be fair at all. Thanks again for staying and for your feedback.
