Veronique’s and Daniel’s villa in Vallabrix is well worth the money. The views are very beautiful and you can see all the way to Uzes from the lovely balcony. There are very nice vineyards close-by and the drive to the shops in St-Quentin-la-Poterie is ca 5-6 minutes. Uzes is ca 10 minutes away, which was wonderful. There is a small bar in the centre (walking distance) called L’abrix, which the kids enjoyed a lot. The property matches the pictures. Air-conditioning worked well and shielded us from the heatwave in late June 2019. Pool area is nice and there are a number of chairs, peace and serenity. The living room area was comfortable and the TV reception as well as the wifi worked splendidly. This helped the older kids’ stay as they ’needed to be on-line’ a lot. :) There is an electric gate to the property and you can safely leave your car there. Overall, Vallabrix was a very safe place and the kids could even take walks around the area. One interesting aspect of the stay was that you can enter nature walks from behind the house to see olive orchards and vineyards, maybe go jogging. The views were very beautiful. We had a car so we drove around Gard, saw so many wonderful places one can imagine. We’ve stayed in Southern France for 6 summers now and I have to say that the drive to various places appeared shorter than in a number of other locations. Eg Chateauneuf-du-Pape and Pont-du-Gard are rather close. Our family, 2 adults and 4 kids, warmly recommends this property, which is a genuine gem and a good family retreat.
