Upeat Colorado-asetukset! Hirsimökki w / CSS-kansilla Fishing Creekiin

Majesteettisen San Juan-malliston juurella on käsintehty hirsimökki, joka lepää vanhojen kasvien ponderosa- ja puuvillapuiden lehdossa. Se sijaitsee Dallas Creekin yksityisellä osuudella ja tarjoaa täydelliset puitteet rauhallisuudelle ja rentoutumiselle.

2. 5 makuuhuoneen ja 1. 5 kylpyhytti on rakennettu taiteilijoiden toimesta, joten suuri osa huonekaluista ja yksityiskohdista on luovia, käsityönä tehtyjä ja sisältävät perheen perintöhuoneita. Mökkien maalaistyylisyyttä täydentää nopea Wi-Fi, taulutelevisio, DVD-soitin ja stereot. Kaapeli-tv: tä ei ole, mutta kirjoja ja pelejä on paljon. Tai ilmaise sisäinen taiteilijasi hyvin toimitetulla piirustuspöydällä. Etuovi avautuu suureen olohuoneeseen, jonka korkea katto ulottuu toiseen kerrokseen ja jota lämmittää puuhella. Huone on sisustettu mukavilla nahkaisilla klubituoleilla ja sohvalla. Suuret ikkunat tuovat näkymään puron, metsät ja vuoret. Täydessä keittiössä on baarin oleskelualue ja se sijaitsee ruokailutilan vieressä. Ympäröivistä ikkunoista on näkymät hämmästyttävälle villieläimelle, joka kokoontuu lähellä puroa. “Sedanovet” johtavat pesutupaan ja täyteen kylpyyn. "Kapteenit" -portaat vievät loft-makuuhuoneeseen ja omaan puolihauteeseen, joka on varustettu mukavalla queen-vuoteella ja runsaalla kaapilla ja lipaston säilytystilalla. Kaareva ikkuna toimii tähtiä katselevana päätynä. Samalla tasolla “sillan” yli on antiikkipeti napatusta tai lukemista varten, kun San Juan -alue on tarkkailla sinua puron virtaamalla. Alakerrassa on viihtyisä toinen makuuhuone, jossa on parivuode, josta on näkymät San Jaunsiin ja metsäiseen puutarhaan.

Takaovi avautuu suurelle kannelle, joka on alaspäin puroa kohti. Nauti kahvia aamulla ja viiniä illalla, kun puron ääni virtaa. Kävele puistomaisessa ympäristössä tai mene kalastamaan yksityisen puron varrella. Tämä lämmin ja ainutlaatuinen ympäristö on täydellinen romanttiseen lomalle, kahdelle aikuiselle pariskunnalle tai pienelle perheelle (ei sovellu alle 12-vuotiaille). Historialliset kaupungit Ouray (9 mi) ja Telluride (36 mi) ovat helpon ajomatkan päässä. Kuumat lähteet sijaitsevat aivan Ridgwayn ulkopuolella ja Ourayssa. Satojen mailien Jeep-teiden avulla voit tutustua korkeaan maahan ja historiallisiin miinoihin. Quiet and peaceful

Cabin is nicer than the pictures. Very quiet and peaceful. Slept with the windows open most nights, no road noise or traffic could be heard, just the sounds of the river and nature. Would definitely stay again. Host were very nice and easy to communicate with.

Foliage and Fly Fishing

The cabin is really cute and in a wonderful location! We loved relaxing on the patio while listening to the creek! Vanessa and Bruce were very helpful and accommodating. I would highly recommend the cabin!

Fabulous Getaway to Colorful Colorado

My, oh my, this home, property, and location were amazing. While we like to venture out in the Ouray area, we often found ourselves on the expansive deck reading, chatting, and enjoying the relaxing sound of the creek rushing by. The home was very clean and we found everything we would need for our week long stay. Bruce and Vanessa are fabulous hosts, very responsive to any questions we had. They have created quite the oasis for guests to enjoy time away. The location is off the beaten path a bit but also near enough the highway to make easy trips down the valley, as I refer to it. We definitely recommend the Root Wings Retreat and plan to stay again the next time we are in that part of the state. Check them out, you won't be disappointed! Thank you, Bruce and Vanessa, for making your home and property available to us. Cheers!

A magical oasis, complete with the sounds of a bubbly stream!

The little cabin was EXACTLY what we were hoping for to get away from everything! Vanessa and Bruce were so accessible for anything we needed or for questions we had about the area. There were so many perfect areas to read, paint, play the guitar or play games. There were even a couple of bicycles Bruce fixed up for us to use. Simply a PERFECT place to unwind.

Fantastic cabin to explore San Juan Mountains

First I must admit that this review is somewhat biased because I prefer to rent true "vacation rentals by owners" and this cabin is the perfect example. It is part of Bruce and Vanessa's homestead that they live in the majority of the year. They are fantastic hosts both in having an amazing home to share and supporting all vacation related questions. The cabin itself is beautiful inside and most importantly has all the comforts you would expect. The incredibly well stocked house is not just convenient but also saves money in that you don't have to buy so much everyday stuff. It really feels like you are their guest, not a "rentor". Ridgeway is a nice little town, but the great part of this location is that you can access Black Canyon NP, Ouray, and Telluride in an hour. Plus you get you enjoy sitting by the creek every night. The only thing to keep in mind is that as you might expect there in no AC. On the surface this sounds like no big deal as it cools down amazingly well at night. We had 3 straight days in the 90s, so took several nights for us to figure out how many windows to leave open to cool down the house for the next day w/o freezing ourselves in the morning. Once we got the hang of it all was well. In summary, this is one of my best VRBO experiences and I hope to be able to return another summer.

Wonderful vacation!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Rootwings Cabin. The owners are so nice and friendly and provided information on fun things to do nearby and great places to eat. We loved this cabin! It’s so unique, comfortable and clean. The deck is awesome and the flowing Dallas creek is nice to watch and listen to. Hope to get back soon!!

We loved our stay at this beautiful cabin. Quiet, relaxing and peaceful to sit by the river. Incredible hiking within a half hrs drive. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook several meals. Would definitely return if back in the area.

A Fabulous Stay!

We stayed in Bruce and Vanessa's cabin for 9 nights late June/ early July. Vanessa was there to greet us, go over the cabin, and made us feel at home. The cabin and the grounds/deck are just beautiful with the peeks of the San Juans from the windows and the Dallas River running right throught the property. The captian's stairs to the loft area and bedroom are steep but very doable as long as you come down backwards. Older visitors may not like this. The bed was very comfortable, firm but not hard and the shower downstairs had great water pressure. Of course, there is no air conditioning but on our warmer days, Vanessa was kind enough to find a fan for us which helped us sleep better. In all fairness, I must mention the internet connection, which Bruce and Vanessa have no control over, but if someone was planning on working, one should know that it can be spotty. It will cut out while watching streaming services and sometimes your phone will have a connection, sometimes not. It seemed to work a little better upstairs at night. Just useful info for those that might be working remotely. Regardless, we were there for the mountains and access to everything was right there: 5 minute drive to Ridgway, 10-15 min to Ouray, and about 25 min to Montrose. If in Ridgway, make sure to get reservations to Provisions Cafe, the best meal we had while in the area, and pay a visit to Bruce and Vanessa's art gallery, charming! My husband and I hope to have our own place in Ridgway and we can't thank Bruce and Vanessa enough for welcoming us and making us feel at home.

Nice spot just north of Ridgway

Lovely owners. Good communicators too. My major observation is that you must climb a steep ladder to get to the beds on the second floor. In addition, I think the kitchen could use some more utensils and glassware. It is a nice spot to have privacy for one couple or a single. Owners live up the road about 100 yards but no other traffic.

Outstanding! Bruce and Vanessa provide an excellent experience. The cabin is well appointed, located in a beautiful setting and has a central location between Montrose, Ouray and Telluride. We hope to return again someday.

Darling cabin convenient to town, close to main highway. Relax to sound of creek flowing by with beautiful mountain views. Cabin is nicely furnished with everything you could possibly need. It was everything I expected and more. I hope to be able to return. Gorgeous area.

Private and fabulous! The sound of a running creek, surrounded by trees, wildlife & mountain views!

Beautiful cabin, private and spacious decks, great location for day trips to Ouray, Telluride, or the nearby river for fly fishing. The cabin is decorated in a lovely, personal way which makes you feel like a special guest of the family. Kitchen was well stocked, from utensils to pots and pans, and there is a very nice outdoor grill on the deck. If you do not want to cook, the town of Ridgway is a short drive away where there are many great restaurants. We spent a great deal of time on the multi-level deck which provides many places to sit and watch the birds, read, or nap to the relaxing sound of Dallas Creek. The stars were outstanding! We spent several nights on the deck laying comfortably on the lounge chairs looking at the amazing night sky. Ouray is approximately 20 minutes away, Telluride about 45 and the nearby river, depending on which part of the river you fish is from 3 minutes to 15. We recommend RIGS Adventure CO Fly Shop in Ridgway to get the local fishing information. What a wonderful stay! The owners, Bruce and Vanessa are friendly and kind and we felt very relaxed right away!

Great location ,cabin and hosts!

We loved the location! The cabin had everything we needed! The mountain stream was so relaxing. We could have fished but chose not to. Perfect place to go if you need to get away from it all! Deer came around every day. Bruce and Vanessa were so welcoming and thought of everything we needed! We loved it all!

Great property, great setting, perfect hosts!

Bruce and Vanessa had our cabin in perfect condition and awaiting our arrival. Everything about the cabin was great, from the fully equipped kitchen to the decks above beautiful Dallas Creek to the wonderfully romantic window in the master bedroom. The setting seemed remote although it's only a few minutes from Ridgway and its great restaurants. We loved our week there and we definitely recommend the cabin to others.

This was Our Favorite Cabin we have ever stayed in. This Cabin is so unique and Beautiful.

We truly Loved everything about this Lovely Cabin. It is so unique, quaint, peaceful, and such a gorgeous location by the river . We had breakfast on the deck every morning overlooking the river with the Beautiful Mountains in the background . This was our favorite spot. The Owners are wonderful and so kind. They designed and built this beautiful cabin . They are amazing artists . It was so clean and such a Zen oasis trip for us ! We can't wait to go back ! We loved everything about this Cabin .

We have stayed in over a dozen cabins in Colorado, and this was by far the best accommodations we have ever had. The entire home was spotless and it was very well furnished. We were able to get away from it all and enjoy spectacular views in a very private location--would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the San Juan region. P.S. We brought fixings to prepare all our meals, but ended up enjoying fantastic restaurants in Ridgway, Telluride and Gunnison!

The creek and the woodland setting is unique for the area and gives you a sense of seclusion while being close to town.

The setting is a photographers paradise.
