Great place to stay

I enjoyed my stay in the cute cottage. It was comfortable and clean, and the kitchen has all the supplies you could need. You can also go out and sit on the patio, where you'll be immediately surrounded by some of the friendliest cats you'll ever meet! The location is very convenient--less than 2 blocks from a streetcar line and with a grocery store literally across the street. It was a nice home base from which to explore the city, and Eshyah was a very helpful host.

Great Cottage and Cute Cats!

The cottage had all the amenities we needed and the bed was soooooo comfy! We enjoyed meeting Eshyah and love that all proceeds support the cat rescue group. Be sure to be outside at the cafe table when she opens the door and all the cats come tumbling outside in to the courtyard----they are so precious!! We have definitely found our place to stay for our frequent New Orleans trips. Jan and Van, Palm City, Fl

Unique Getaway

We wanted to experience New Orleans without being in the bustle of the city. This location was 1 block away from the trolley and for $3.00, we could ride around all day. We visited some of the local establishments (all within walking distance). The grocery store and drug store are conveniently located a block away. The cottage is a secluded, whimsical studio that perfectly accommodates two people. The owner has compiled a packet that gives suggestions of things to see and do. She is pleasant and welcoming. I fell in love with the cats and kittens. I was sold as soon as I learned proceeds go to the cat rescue. We will certainly return to the Crescent City. Hopefully, we will find this rental available when we do. Thank you so much for making our stay delightful.

Great for all cat lovers

We stayed for 3 nights. Had a great time in the city. Close to the French quarter. Supermarket across the street for use in the kitchen. All the cats were very friendly. Will come back!

Purrfect stay

I cannot say enough positive things about this place. It's in an amazing location - close to everything! Eshyah is the director and she is extremely easy to work and communicate with. You can tell how dedicated she is to the cats and the club itself is spotless. The rental space is super clean and perfect for 2 people - plenty of room with a huge closet and a full size kitchen (you can buy food across the street so you don't have to eat out for every meal). The private walled courtyard is the best. The door to the cat club has 2 cat flaps where the kitties can go in and out to the courtyard as they please so you can have lots of interaction with them if you choose. And these cats are the best! They're all very sweet-tempered and loving and the rental proceeds go towards supporting the organization. I would strongly encourage all - especially cat lovers - to stay here! We loved it and the kitties!

Cute apartment!

Cute apartment with lots of feline friends to enjoy on the Catio or petting room. This location is also within walking distance to the French Quarter and a short Lyft ride to everywhere else. Good music and good venues within walking distance as well. I highly recommend this rental if you’re looking for a unique stay in NOLA!

Third time staying at cat rescue!

Love being able to contribute to the cat rescue. We stay in the house behind the rescue and the cats are out every day. We hang with them in the courtyard. The house is a great set up, very open and clean, and two markets are close by to get basic essentials. Great markets too. Easy walk to French quarter, especially Frenchmen street which is what Nola is all about!

Loved the cottage! Exceeded expectations!

The cottage was wonderful, it was everything we needed for the trip and located in a great area, close to transportation and easily commutable to the french quarter. Eshyah was an extremely helpful host and very responsive. We loved spending time with the cats and would definitely stay here again!

Loved it!

We enjoyed every moment of our stay at the Crescent Cat Club Cottage. The cottage is perfect with everything one needs for a home away including access to the most precious cats and kittens! Due to a glitch in our plans (of our own making) we were without lodging for the second half of our trip and Eyshah was so kind to find us the Mardigras Cottages which was perfect for the remainder of our stay in New Orleans.

Cute, comfortable and clean studio a few minutes walk from Frenchman Street and about a ten minute walk to the French Quarter. You enter through the attached cat club during its business hours, so if you like cats this should be a bonus, as they are super cute and friendly, and often hang out in the courtyard between the main building and the studio in the back. If you don't like cats or are allergic to them, I wouldn't recommend this property. Eshyah was welcoming and gracious, and made herself available to answer any questions.

Good for a few days...

The space is good for a few days. All in all it is a good space. I will echo one other review in that there is NOT internet service in the cottage. I let the owner know and her offer was to restart the modem and that it has worked before. We were never able to get a signal in the cottage nor in the courtyard. Although it would have been nice to have, it was not a necessity for us for such a short stay. There is a nice grocery store right across the street. We were not only able to shop, but since parking is at a premium in NOLA we were able to park our vehicle in their parking lot with no issues. The property is within a few blocks of public transportation so getting around is not really an issue either. Download the city's app for help with this.

Very clean and a very hospitable place to stay.

Loved the room. Location was a bit of a distance from sights but learned the streetcar system that was 2 blocks from the apt and could get all around town. Never got the WIFI to work. Grocery store was around the corner and very convenient. I would stay here again for any future visits.

This place is a gem! My sister and I came down for Jazz Fest and felt so safe!

This place was perfect for our stay during Jazz Fest. Can’t beat the location. Locked gate entrance for safety. Very clean and new! Full kitchen, nice air conditioning, super comfy bed! Kitties in the court yard a plus to hang with!! Eshyah is very sweet welcoming lady! Thank you so much for the great hospitality! Until next time!! Cheers!

Convenient, friendly and much better than a hotel in NOLA

Obviously, this isn't the ideal place for you if you don't like cats... For me, the felines next door were a bonus - I really enjoyed sitting in the courtyard with a coffee and a cat or six. The accommodation itself is great too, actually lighter and airier than the pictures, with everything necessary for a comfortable stay provided. The neighbourhood is perfectly situated - away from the touristy excess and noise of the French quarter 'boutique' hotels, but also better value and with more soul than the high rise chain hotels downtown. The French quarter and everything you could need is within easy walking distance or streetcar ride away. Next time I'm in NOLA (and there will be a next time) I'll be heading right back to this excellent home from home in Faubourg Marigny.

Amazing place for cat lovers

OMG, we had the best time in New Orleans. This location was absolutely a great find. If you love cats, this is the place for you. There was nothing like sitting on the patio having cats walking around and giving you love on a daily basis, especially when you had to leave your own babies at home. This was also the perfect location to enjoy the city, you are literally on the edge of the French Quarter, close enough to feel like you were staying in the heart without all the foot traffic. Just a two block walk and you are in the mist of all different styles of music, food and bars. Eshyah was a great host, very knowledgeable of the area and provided a wonderful guide of activities in the cottage. We didn’t need to use the car at all, the trolley is one block away and the walked to the Quarter was filled with art work and wonderful homes to view. The cottage was a “Home Away” from home, very clean and fully stocked with everything that you need. The area felt safe and we had no problems walking, even late evening, we made sure we stayed on the main thoroughfares. There is a fresh market directly across the street, very convenient to pick up snacks and all types of food. The Bottom Line is we know where will be staying the next time we visit New Orleans. The Faubourg Marigny area was welcoming and the cats was the icing on the cake.

Comfortable, cozy cottage with some company!

Eshyah's place was great! My girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay very much. She was very helpful with any info we might've needed. As for the location, the grocery store and street car line were a short walk away. Frenchmen and the French Quarter were also walkable if you don't mind a 10-20 minute walk. The company of her cats was also very nice to have! It was great to be able to relax with them after a day of exploring the city. I would recommend staying here and would love to be back here again.

Great location. Away from crowds of French Quarter but within walking distance.

Perfect place for my husband and I. Super clean. Aysha Is very helpful and directed us to places we never would have seen. Wonderful vacation. Would definitely stay here again. The cat rescue was fun. This place is also really clean. Very impressed with the whole place!

Amazing stay in Faubourg Marigny!

My husband and I just returned from a 4 night stay in New Orleans. We chose to stay at this property after reading the reviews, especially those regarding its location and cleanliness. If you are in New Orleans for the French Quarter/Bourbon Street experience, this property is about a 10-15 minute walk away. There are a number of cute places in Marigny though that are even closer. We used Uber to get to places that were farther away than "walking distance", and that was also affordable. When it comes to the property itself, we cannot say enough good things about it. The cottage is a separate building from the Cat Club, and they have a shared patio. When the Cat Club is open, the owner does request that you walk through the club because the kitties are out and about on the patio. There is a gated entrance to the patio for access to the cottage after hours. The property is spotless, and all of the furnishings are really comfortable. When we were at the cottage, we spent most of our time on the patio with the cats. They are all adorable and sweet, and we enjoyed watching them interact with one another. We especially loved that our rental fee went back to helping all of the kitties. Eshyah and her staff do a wonderful job taking care of the cats and maintaining the property. You definitely will not regret a stay here!

Cute Place, Cute Cats, Great Cause

My boyfriend and I loved staying here! This is the perfect living space - a small kitchen area, comfortable bed, and nice bathroom. It's a fantastic location, very close to Frenchman St. Walking distance to a lot of restaurants and bars. We stayed here for new years, when its hard to get a ride home, so we walked back from Bourbon and Frenchman a few nights without any problem. The best part though, is the cats! The cats are absolutely adorable! They come out in the courtyard, which your room opens up to, so you get the most amazing greeting in the morning! The proceeds from staying here go towards their care, so you are also supporting a great cause. We also loved the owner, Eshyah, who was very helpful and kind throughout our stay.

I have just retired from a 28-year career as a real-estate appraiser and doing historical renovations, and now run The Crescent City Cat Club (adoption facility for shelter cats in a home-like atmosphere). I am also a certified dog trainer. What can I say? I love animals!

If you like live music and to be in the midst of things, this cottage is in very close proximity to the action, but somewhat removed behind a double-shotgun, with its own little courtyard. It is a free-standing cottage, so no shared walls, no too-close neighbors.
