Valmistaudu olemaan vaikuttunut. Suunnittelijan hirsitalo sijaitsee ihanteellisella paikalla 75 mailin pÀÀssÀ Twin CitiesistÀ noin 3 hehtaarin mahtavalla kauniilla, lÀnteen pÀin olevalla maalla ja tÀysin virkistysmahdollisuuksien tarjoavalla YlÀ-kilpikonnajÀrvellÀ.

ElÀinten mukavuudet ovat lÀsnÀ kaikkialla, mukaan lukien lÀmmitetyt lattiat, poreallas, infrapunasauna, kerrostelakka (kausiluonteinen), kvartsitiskit, yli kokoinen kaksikerroksinen kivitakka, palokammio, pelihuone, urheilukenttÀ, kaksi kannet, etukuormaimen pesukone / kuivausrumpu ja suuren kokin keittiö, jossa Heartland-laitteet.

This was an enjoyable place to stay for the week. The kids ages 10-13 had fun fishing and swimming from the dock every day. It is nice to have the inflatable raft, paddleboards, kayak, and fire pit.

Perfect size

This property fit our family of 14 perfectly. We loved the quietness of the home and the close proximity to the cities. A couple things we did notice is that the kitchen screens have holes and need to be repaired and the basement beds are not very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it again.

Fantastic

From the check in to check out it was seamless. There is plenty of room for a crowd, and having all the bathrooms was great. Plus the view, eagles, dragonflies, loons, deer, lake breezes and fireflies add up to be fantastic. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Family Vaca = 100% recommend

The owners were great to work with. The place was beautiful, the lake was gorgeous, the location was quiet. The space gave my daughter and friend room to have some girl time. My 80-something year old dad was able to enjoy his time with us, and alone time with his own space. And the rest of us filled the place with laughs and food, and games, and fun!

Christmas Cabin Getaway

House location was excellent, secluded home in woods with a beautiful view. Fireplace was great for the cold days. Kids had a great time sledding down the hill. Bathrooms were clean but overall house needed a deep cleaning between seasons. Some of the basement beds need to be updated.

Awesome spot with everything you could need!

We stayed here for a girls weekend. 9 of us were more than comfortable, this place is huge! We loved the two big tables in the dining room and spent many hours on the porch, what a view!! The host was very responsive responding to communication. The house was well stocked with all we needed. My only complaint, which was not a big deal at alll, but the oven was smaller than a typical oven, we couldn’t fit the family size papa Murphy’s in 😂 we would definitely rent this property again!

Great stay!

The lake and activities were great, home was very nice and the owners were super helpful when we had questions. Lots to do, no one was ever bored. Some of the mattresses need to be upgraded, especially in the basement room, but this was a minor issue. Overall, really enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful home and property!

My siblings and our families stayed here for a week and had an amazing time. The home and property are gorgeous! The house sits on a hill so there are great views of the lake. It is downhill to the water but there are steps and it was accessible for us. The lake is very quiet and peaceful and we saw a lot of wildlife in the area. The dock is great for swimming and fishing, and we loved use of the paddle boards, canoe, and water front fire pit. The only drawback for us was that the mattresses badly need to be upgraded. They did not offer a lot of support and we’re not comfortable. Overall we loved the house and felt it was great for multiple families. We would 100% rent again.

Great property with tons of space for relaxing!

We traveled with a total of 6 adults and 3 kids, ages 3-6. There was so much space that we could all find a place to relax quietly when needed and the kitchen area and open family room was perfect for the whole group to gather together comfortably. The lake was a few steps down a hill so might not be ideal for those that are less mobile but the fire pit over looking the lake was beautiful and the kids were in the water every day!

Great place, clean and accommodating!

We had a great trip! The cabin provides lots to do. The place was clean and the hosts were very accommodating. Helped answer questions and had very detailed instructions for traveling to the cabin and info for while we were there. Not too far out of town as well which was great.

Birthday Stay

My friends and I had a fantastic time at the property. The kitchen is spacious for gathering, the bedrooms are cozy with multiple bathrooms for a group, and the game room is great for fun in the evenings. I would love to come back in the summer sometime!

Perfect end-of-summer retreat!

After cancelling a planned trip to CO due to COVID, this place provided the perfect substitute for our family's late summer get away. Instead of whitewater rafting, we tubed the nearby Apple River and enjoyed lake time, bonfires, meals and games together at the beautiful cottage. We spent lots of time on the lake, paddleboarding and kayaking in the mornings to enjoy the quiet and wildlife (lots of bald eagle sightings) and swimming in the afternoons. It's the perfect combination of luxury and Northwoods simplicity. Thank you for your hospitality!

Beautiful log home with a great view of the lake

The home is gorgeous, pictures don't do it justice! Great views of Upper Turtle Lake from inside the cabin and on the decks. Swimming was great off the dock with clear water and the kids and adults all enjoyed the water trampoline. From the upper deck off the house to the dock there are a lot of steps (83 to be exact!) so be sure to bring down items you will need with you. The number of stairs made it a little tricky with babies and toddlers. The kitchen is large and very easy to work in, there is also a small sink, microwave and cupboards in the lower level rec room-would have been even better if there was another refrigerator in the rec room! The family room had plenty of room for everyone and the bedrooms were large. We enjoyed all of the many games in the rec room on rainy days-pool, ping pong, foosball, darts and giant jenga. The owners, Kevin & Ellen were great to work with and always got back to us in a timely manner by email or text.

Family Getaway

We had a great stay at this beautiful home on Upper Turtle Lake. The space was perfect for our group with separate sleeping quarters for boys & girls as well as a room for each set of parents. We spent evenings gathered in the upstairs family room, kitchen/dining, talking & laughing well into the evening/early morning hours. Enjoyed the boardwalk, dock & swim trampoline by day. It is a hike up & down, be prepared for that. Many Wonderful Memories made during our stay!! Owners are very responsive and readily available in communication. Highly Recommend!

Great stay!

Kitchen & dining area was amazing; great view and well stocked. The stove top and ovens were VERY efficient, most cooking times were cut in half. The fridge, however, did not keep things the coldest. The stairs to the dock provide quite the exercise! Be sure to take a second and make sure you have everything needed for water fun, the fist trip :-) The beds were comfortable, except the basement double queen room which were a bit hard for our preferences. The cabin and property was maintained well and clean upon our arrival. The owners were very responsive, helpful, and considerate to our group! Highly recommend overall!!!

Private Vacation Paradise

Last minute vacation to this wonderful cabin on Turtle Lake. Nothing to compare to this beautiful Shangri-la on the end of a long private drive. Just perfect for our family to relax and reconnect after two months of isolation. Kevin and Ellen Charcut leave nothing out to make certain your vacation stay with them is memorable. Plenty of rooms and amenities abound. The kitchen is well stocked. Water toys include paddle boards, a kayak, paddle boat and canoe. Swimming was awesome with a raft for sunbathing. The basement game room was our goto spot every evening for family fun with a pool table, ping pong table and foosball table too. Lots of games and movies too. Complimenting our wonderful stay was the great communication with the Charcuts. Emails, text and phone messages were returned promptly and Ellen even helped extend stay by one day at the last minute. We will be back. Thank you for a week of wonderful memories!

Wonderful group birthday

We had a group of 8 of us together for my wife’s birthday in the middle of December and we all took a short drive to the casino. Kitchen is wonderful for cooking as a group. So much elbow room everywhere you go. Real fireplace was a special hit to hang out together. Views from all the windows and overall privacy make you feel you’ve really gotten away. Everywhere was warm with heated floors and bathrooms. This place would also be amazing in the summer with a boat and kids. Next time I’d bring dry firewood and a large jug of water. We would love to come back someday again. -Jesse D
