La Ville Josse is a spacious house that comfortably sleeps 6 guests in 3 bedrooms. This stunning property is set in half an acre of land, including a lake. It is just 12 kms from the beautiful northern Brittany coast and 13 kms from the medieval city of Dinan. Perfect for a family or group of friends wanting a quiet yet comfortable place to stay for a holiday, La Ville Josse has everything you need to be able to sit back and relax or use it as a base for exploring the beauty of Brittany.
The house has been beautifully renovated whilst retaining both its character and original features, including the exposed stone walls and beams. The well-maintained grounds and small lake offer a perfect place to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of the Brittany countryside.
As you enter the house you will be able to admire its many features and immediately feel at home. Everything has been chosen to make this a comfortable and welcoming place to stay. On the ground floor there are two large reception rooms, one specifically for dining having a large dining table and the other having plenty of comfortable seating and a television with French/English channels. Both have striking fireplaces but please note that the large open fires are not to be used.
There is a separate spacious dining kitchen which is well equipped, including a dishwasher, coffee machine, fridge-freezer and all the tableware you will need to sit and enjoy meals together either in the kitchen or dining room.
On the ground floor there is also a separate WC and a utility area with a washing machine.
WiFi is provided.
From the dining room, take the stairs up to a long landing area from which you access the first-floor rooms. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a lovely seating area where you can sit and relax with a book or perhaps use the space to play. All bedrooms are spacious and light, with low windows that have great views of the grounds.
Bedroom 1 has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a bath.
Bedroom 2 has twin beds and a small sofa
Bedroom 3 has twin beds.
These rooms can use the additional family bathroom or the shower room.
OUTSIDE:
The large garden is perfect for relaxing in and there is enough space for the children to play. Outdoor furniture is provided for you to sit on and enjoy the view or perhaps eat ‘al fresco’ and use the BBQ. Please be aware that the large lake is NOT fenced and children must be supervised at all times. A small rowing boat is available for you to use on the lake.
HEATING: La Ville Josse is heated by electric heaters during the cooler months.
Bedding and towels are provided.
Change over day in high season is Saturday. Please enquire about shorter stays.

The house is not accessible to wheelchairs and please note there are stairs and a step in the property.
Pets are not allowed and the house is non-smoking, however, smoking is allowed outside.

Local area
The nearest town is Languenan (3.5 k from the house) and Plancoët which is just 10 minutes away has many shops and a supermarket. There are many amazing places to visit in the surrounding area.
The property is just a 17 minute drive from the stunning medieval city of Dinan. This lovely medieval city is set high above the Rance River and has fabulous shops set around cobbled streets with numerous eating places.
Léhon, just a 15km drive away, is proud to have the Petite Cité de Caractère (small City of Character) award for its preserved old town, cobbled streets, ornate facades, general all-round beauty and protected character.
Saint-Magloire Abbey in Léhon is a beautiful place to visit and guided tours are available.
St Malo is a popular tourist destination and a busy ferry port just 24km away. Walk through the cobbled streets of St Malo’s old town or inside its walled ramparts for amazing views of the sea, beaches and old town or visit its many great shops, restaurants and cafes. The Grand Aquarium de Saint-Malo is very popular with young visitors.
Nearby is the popular town of Dinard with its Belle Époque villas and stripy beach tents close to its sandy beaches and coastal walks. In the evenings you can visit the casino or walk along the Promenade Clair de Lune, a lovely waterside walk illuminated in July and August.
Saint-Cast-Le-Guildo just 10km away is worth visiting. The GR 34 from here has 18 km of coastal walking offering unexpected views and stunning panoramas. This peninsula is known as the Emerald Coast named after the beautiful blue-green waters and there are many stunning beaches and ports to visit here.
Mont Saint Michel is 62 km away and is a must on your holiday agenda! The UNESCO World Heritage Site is the most visited attraction in France!
A little further afield (about a 90 minute drive) is the Pink Granite Coast. The beaches have the most amazing rock formations.
