Vírgenes Street is named after the convent of the virgins that was dedicated to Santa Justa and Rufina, two Sevillian potters Christian martyrs. Excavations in the last century found pieces and remains of what was probably a pottery kiln, which supports the relationship of the house with those origins.



Later the house was bought by a family of merchants who recovered the tradition and turned the house into the beautiful palace it is today.
