COOL MOUNTAIN Kesä on täällä! Bear Ridge Cabin on viihtyisä ja eristäytynyt mökki lähellä Highlands, NC. Korkeus 3881 jalkaa. Nauti helppo pääsy lentokentältä / lentokentälle / FL: lle. Mukana oma rauhallinen vesiputous. Kaikki mitä tarvitset on aivan käden ulottuvilla. Nauti 15 hehtaarin viileästä vuoristoilmasta. Joitakin luonnonominaisuuksia ovat purot, vesiputous, taimenen kalastus ja polut. Kaikki kiinteistössä. Ehkä haluat vain viihtyisästi sisälle ja pelata pelejä perheesi kanssa? Bear Ridge -mökissä on myös niitä. HINTA ALENNUSTA vuokrataan kesällä! Nauti Upscale Highlands, NC: stä maksamatta korkealuokkaisia hintoja!

TILA:
Tule nauttimaan täynnä tonnaakymmentä hehtaaria viileää vuoristoelämää. Eristäytynyt ja omakotitalossa on kaksi makuuhuonetta, upouusi kylpyhuone, täydellinen keittiö, ruokailutila, olohuone, suojattu kuistilla ja valtava kansi. Siinä on kaikki tarvitsemasi päästäksesi pois! Vaikka se olisi vain yötä.

Vieraiden pääsy:
Vieraillamme on pääsy koko kaksikymmentä hehtaaria. Joka on yhteinen maalaistalomme ja vieraamme mökki toisella puolella omaisuutta. On olemassa monia, monia luonnollisia vuoristoominaisuuksia. Kaikki voit nauttia!

Vieraiden vuorovaikutus:
Vuorovaikutus kanssamme on täysin vapaaehtoista. Mutta jos tarvitset jotain, olemme yleensä vain kiinteistön toisella puolella. Yksityisyyttä kunnioitetaan myös syvästi, jos niin halutaan.

YMPÄRISTÖ:
Pääsy kiinteistöön on heti Dillard-tien varrelta (NC Hwy 106). Tämä on tärkein, vasta päällystetty tie Georgiasta. Vain 6. 5 mailia ennen Highlands, NC! Vaikka matkustamon ajotie on pitkä, se on erittäin hyvässä kunnossa. Bear Ridge -hyttiin pääsee helposti kaiken kokoiselle ajoneuvolle. Tämä on tietysti normaaleissa sääoloissa. Lumen tai jään tapauksessa vieraillamme saattaa olla välttämätöntä saada korkean profiilin kaikki pyöräajoneuvot pääsyä varten. Jos sinun tapauksessasi ei ole tällaista ajoneuvoa, on yleensä mahdollista pysäköidä omaisuuden eri osaan. Tämä olisi pysäköintialueella, johon se on päällystetty, ja helppo kävellä ylös lyhyelle mäkeä mökillesi viihtyisäksi kylmäksi yöksi.

MUUT HUOMAUTUKSET:
PETS: 30 dollaria siivousmaksu. Lemmikkieläimiä kannustetaan ja sallitaan! Kuten lemmikkien omistajat tietävät, he ovat joskus paljon töitä. 100 dollaria peritään, jos lemmikki vierailee eikä sitä ilmoiteta. Ei poikkeuksia. Kaikkien lemmikkien TÄYTYY olla hyvin seurusteltu muiden ihmisten / eläinten kanssa ja puhdistaa niiden jälkeen, sisälle ja ulos. Sosialisoituminen on erittäin tärkeää, koska kiinteistön kauko-osissa on monia muita hyvin rakastettuja, kotieläimiä ja maatilaeläimiä. Lemmikkieläimiä EI sallita huonekaluissa tai yläkerrassa. Kaikesta tästä huolimatta nautimme todella uusien lemmikkikavereiden näkemisestä! Toivomme näkeväsi!

LISÄTIEDOT lemmikkeistä:
Meillä on paikan päällä turvallisuus. Älä pelkää, Samson valvoo koko kotiseutumme! Ihanan valtava ja turha musta Newfie, joka on ystävällinen kaikkien mukavien olentojen kanssa. Hän on aina innostunut tapaamaan uusia ihmisiä ja uusia lemmikkikavereita. Älä huolestu, kun hän tulee sanomaan hei! Hän ei koskaan edes satuta kärpästä. :-)

Tupakointi: Tupakointi kielletty. 100 dollaria veloitetaan, jos tätä sääntöä rikotaan. Tupakointi ulkona on sallittua, mutta kaikki tuhkat on vietävä turvalliseen säiliöön ja roskat on kerättävä.

Nice, small cabin

Nice place for a small group. Clean and well maintained, slightly dark inside, and there was no propane for the grill so we had to get a new bottle, although the host did offer to get a new one themselves.

Anniversary trip

Amazing stay. Last minute surprise trip for our 5 year anniversary and I’m sooooo satisfied with the choice of this cabin. Had an amazing time and everything was so inviting when we arrived that we didn’t want to leave to get dinner. Will definitely be saving for future trips.

Cozy cabin in the woods

Cozy cabin that seemed secluded but was close to many activities. Between Dillard and Highlands, so easy drive to both towns and several hiking trails. Hot tub on screened porch was nice!

Mountain Escape!

It was a great little rustic cabin for quiet time and adventure. We had super close access to fun outdoor activities for adults and kids (Mountain coaster, a vineyard, and zip lines fun)! We loved the waterfall short hike and enjoyed adventures in the creek.

Mountain Getaway

The cabin was just what we wanted. Secluded, guiet & comfortable. We really enjoyed the hot tub and building a real fire in the fireplace. I highly recommend this property. Our only regret is we didn't book one more night.

The real deal

Bear Ridge really IS a cabin in the woods. Rustic and quaint, it’s surrounded by the forest leading to an environment of serenity and quiet. The joy of waking up to the wind in the trees, the leaves falling, the creek flowing is the best way to start the day!

Filthy

While the cabin is rustic and dated, it was also FILTHY. The dishes and pots were dirty, the drawers filled with crumbs, cigarette ashes on hot tub railing, dust and debris behind chairs, and so on. There were other issues with the hot tub and heating but the filth was noteworthy. Too bad photos can not be uploaded because they tell the story better than words.

Dangerous property do not book

This property should be immediately removed from vrbo and is unsafe for anyone. The back sliding glass door has no lock what so ever, or even a stick to block someone from opening the door. Upon our arrival the front door was left unlocked at night, there was a candle burning and the lights on the wall wouldn’t work. We immediately tried the back door and noted there was no locking mechanism whatsoever. It felt like someone was there and we immediately got in the car and left to call the host once we got cell service again (they also fail to mention there is no service when you get there). The host wouldn’t answer and instead messaged us back stating nothing has happened in 9 years, they live down the road and that they must have left the front door unlocked. They didn’t even acknowledge that the back door had no lock. We were scared for our lives and reported it to Vrbo. The host still hasn’t refunded our money even though they said they would after threatening to return for “evidence of no locks” with the authorities. vrbo has done nothing to handle it either since we didn’t stop to take pictures of the missing locks. We were too scared someone was in there waiting for us to take pictures, this was absolutely terrifying.

Cozy cabin in the woods! The hot tub was a nice bonus! Just a warning to others- we didn’t have cell reception in the area so screen shot your directions to the cabin. The cabin has WiFi so no problems after we connected.

Overpriced

The cabin is rustic at best. No smoke detectors but gas heaters positioned right under the drapes. No lights in the bedrooms other than one lamp each. The doors don’t stay latched. No washer/ dryer. The toaster oven was filthy. There is a gas grill but no gas. Had steaks for Easter since restaurants were closed. Went to put them on the grill and found there was no propane tank. Had to cook them in the oven. Place shouldn’t be on VRBO until it’s safe. The step up to the door was higher than it should be. Trip hazard. Way overpriced for what you get.

Hidden Gem

Should have just followed the directions given to us by the owners. GPS is a no go but it was a fun little side excursion. We stayed for our sons 9th bday (Jan 1st baby) it’s hard to find fun things to do while cold and raining but the hot tub was a winner. The kids had fun riding the little coaster right down the road but the visits from Samson was the highlight of the weekend. Such a sweetheart! Thanks for a wonderful memory filled stay!

Great getaway - Excellent Hosts

Cabin was as described and we had a great time. We had an issue with the hot tub and Kyle came out and worked on it for 4 hours to fix it so we could enjoy it which we did. Great communication and very friendly. Would stay again.

Perfect Place to Unplug and Reconnect

From the moment my husband and I drove up to the cabin we felt right at home. The quietness of the mountains and the peacefulness of the waterfall within walking distance was all we needed. We spent the next 3 days hiking thru Highlands, then coming to have a long soak in the hot tub followed by a nice home cooked meal. Kyle was very responsive to any questions that we had and made us feel like a true guest! We were very sad as we pulled away but know that we will be back some day soon to rejuvenate our souls from the hustle and bustle of our daily lives! Thank you Kyle for sharing your little piece of mountain joy with us :) Dina & David

Quiet get away

Went with family of 4 and two dogs. It was quiet with a small waterfall. A little difficult to find and not sure if our small car would of made it. We decided last minute to take a 4 wheel drive and I’m glad we did. However, this place was awesome and would recommend!!! The hot tub was a nice touch, however, it is not the hottest hot tub I’ve ever been in.

It was great!

This was a great cabin for a winter stay! The hot tub was hot! The heaters were warm and the owners were there to answer any issues we had. We personally blew a fuse, they came out fast to switch it back. It’s in a great location to access town and go on day adventures. We would deff come back.

it's not as advertised, renters be warned, not ready for prime time

We have stayed in many VRBO/airbnb's and never written a critical review until now. The good; It's a cabin in the woods and will work in a pinch. The issues; the advertisement says: Gas fireplace: The fireplace is wood, there are 2 gas heaters in the cabin. New hot tub: The hot tub is a well used model that does work but has missing parts and the LED read-out is broken so setting the temp is a total guess so the first day was scalding, the second day was cool. I played with it until I finally figured it out on day 4. No DVD player; broken hair dryer; NO CO-MONOXIDE DETECTOR; NO SMOKE DETECTOR!! Both Safety issues! The screened porch is missing the door. The furniture smells strong of wet dog. The kitchen is lacking with an old rusted out stove, burnt pans, no dish towels, pot holders, etc.. and the drip bowl has to be emptied daily in the fridge or it soaks the floor. An old water leak in the kitchen has the ceiling drooping and darkened with must be mold in a 4x8 section. There is internet when it works. 3mbps down, 0.5mbps up which barely allows for the advertised streaming TV to load. Internet was out for 4 of our 7 days. The closest cell phone service we found was a 7 mile drive from the cabin so no cell nor internet service left us very isolated if an emergency had arisen. The gravel road to the cabin begins with a steep up-hill so you need SUV type ground clearance. It then proceeds through the woods to the cabin. The cabin has a steep gravel down-hill walk from the parking spot to the front door, not special needs friendly.

Property is in a very secluded area with great view. The kitchen could use some additional tools as well as a new refrigerator. My daughter and I enjoyed the property very much.

Disappointing

We loved the location but the accommodations were a disappointment. We found mice pellets under a sofa cushion and hair/dog fur on one of the bedspreads in the twin bedroom. The freezer portion of the refrigerator continuously leaked in the refrigerated portion. This overflowed to the kitchen floor. The a/c floor unit is located in the living room which prohibited any cool air from reaching the 2 bedrooms. Also, the featured hot tub cycled on and off making it hard to enjoy. I followed the owners instructions by turning the breaker off then on but tub would only stay on for 3-4 minutes. The owner never responded once I told him we would like to transfer to another property. We left the property the following morning and had to rent a place in Highlands for the second night. I sent him a text about the cleanliness and called the following day about a refund for the second night but no response. The only positive as I initially mentions were the surroundings, including a waterfall.

Above and beyond

We kept finding ourselves pleasantly surprised from the moment we arrived to the moment we left! So many thoughtful touches throughout the property and it all made us feel very welcomed and cozy, the surrounding nature, waterfall tied everything together to a very magical weekend. Hosts went above and beyond to make sure we knew they were there if needed. Can't wait to come back for a longer stay!
