Wisconsinin lomakeskus

Birch Lake Getaway on 12 hehtaarin yksinäinen lomakeskus, jossa on 4 järven rannalla sijaitsevaa loma-asuntoa (mökkiä), jotka kaikki on listattu Vrboon ja sijaitsevat kätevästi Wisconsinin keskustan mäkiä. Siinä on 3 1/2 hehtaarin suuruinen keväällä syötetty kalastus- ja uimajärvi, jossa on neljä rantaa, järvien näköalatasanne ja rantahuvila.

Siellä on myös avoimia alueita, joissa lentopallo- / huono mintonverkkomme on perustettu, sekä huvimajamme, toinen palokammio ja runsaasti tilaa mille tahansa muulle, joka sinulla voi olla mielessä.

Suuremmille ryhmille Birch Lake mahtuu jopa 44 ihmistä yön yli häihin, yritysretkille, perhejuhlia, kirkkomatkoja ja muun tyyppisiä suuria kokoontumisia varten.

Hei ihmiset:

Olemme Sally ja Terry. Mikä hieno siunaus oli kompastua tähän kauniiseen 12 hehtaarin kiinteistöön vuonna 1995. Vaikka ainoa mukavuus täällä oli ulkorakennus (mukaan lukien ilman putkistoa tai sähköä!) rakastuimme mäkisiin ja kauniiseen järveen. Entisinä kaupunkilaisina ja yrityksen keskeyttäjinä, jotka olivat päättäneet päästä eroon liikenteestä ja melusta, suuntasimme maahan ilman mitään erityistä mieltä, paitsi vain päästäksemme pois kaikesta.

Alusta tyhjästä oli seikkailu, jossa seuraavan kymmenen vuoden aikana Birch Lake alkoi hitaasti kehittyä. Oli niin hauskaa käyttää mahdollisuuksia yksinkertaiseen pakoon luontoon; Alkaen metsän retkeilyreitiltä, pieneltä vesiputoukselta ja kannelta vedeltä. Birch Lake syntyi näiden ideoiden takia. Kun aloimme tarjota tätä kokemusta muille, laajensimme lisäämällä yhden hytin toisensa jälkeen. Kaikki 4 on listattu Vrbo-pörssissä. Secluded Nature Stay

The Ranch is located in a quiet and private area and has multiple outdoor seating areas at the house. These felt private and comfortable near the water and with wooded surroundings. For the house, expect "older" components. The bathroom, windows, screen doors, kitchen appliances, and hot tub are older as well as the decor. We had no issues with this but it may be helpful to enter with that expectation. The lake was very covered with algae and not appealing to us to enter. We did take the row boat out once for a quick paddle around the lake. There was an outdoor smell near the fire pit and hot tub that was either due to the proximity to the garbage bins or from an animal in the woods.Overall, our stay at the Ranch was relaxing and we appreciated nature and the closeness to Tomah. My husband found biking around the area and to La Crosse enjoyable and easy to navigate.

Winter getaway

Our trip was enjoyable and relaxing. The cabin was quant and clean and comfortable. My boyfriend wanted to ice fish in a lake, but this is really a pond. It was not frozen, but we still enjoyed the hot tub and relaxing together. We took a drive into Tomah and went to the cheese shop and antique store. The area of the cabin was pretty and there was a nice trail to walk. The whole area was safe and peaceful!

Lake was Green

The cabin was clean and very nice and as described. Any questions i had were answered immediately through email. There was no check-in process. We did not meet anyone. When we asked for help with the paddle boat a worker immediately came.There was a smell like sulfur in the cabin. We determined it was from the well water. There were scented candles on the mantle. The hot tub water was slightly green the first day, Tuesday, and clear the second day. There was no chlorine in the hot tub. It smelled like the well water. The most dissappointing part was that the lake was green like pea soup. We did not swim. There is an aerator in the center of the lake but it seems ineffective. The cabin was nicely furnished, the bed comfortable, the bathroom modern and very clean. The path to the cabin was a mix of stones and bricks and was too uneven for my disabled husband to walk safely. The internet was poor. The satellite TV did not work during the storm or rain. Otherwise, it worked fine. The washer and dryer were a nice convenience.

This cabin was a great getaway for our family.

Older cabin. The lake is not a swimming lake, but our kids had a great time taking the pedal boat out and caught a ton of fish. We also saw huge snapping turtles by our dock. They were neat to watch.

Overall it was a good stay. The bed was a bit uncomfortable, a bit too firm for me. The hot tub was very nice, we used it daily during our stay. The fireplace worked very well. A few updates would be nice. Bluetooth speakers for outside would be nice. A few of the outside lights did not work. It would have been nice to have the fire pit in a more private location.

Ranch stay

The property manager was very nice, when we got to the location, we went to the wrong cabin, Terry personally came and told us where we had ended up at the wrong location. When we couldn't figure out the TV, he sent his property maintenence person right away to show us how to work the dish. The facility in general nice but could use some updating, not complaining just an observation.

Ranch cabin

The cabin is located on a beautiful piece of property in a secluded area. However the cabin decor was outdated and needed a good cleaning. Floors were dirty, inside cabinets were dirty. Blinds and curtains were dusty. Windows needed washing. The glass ware that was provided was a hodgepodge of different pieces . The pillows with the bedding were old and flat. Not comfortable at all. We made the best of our stay and had a great time.

Not as expected

We were a little disappointed with our cabin. It was stated that the kitchen was fully stocked, but it was far from it. Plan on bringing everything you think you’re going to need, because there sure wasn’t much there. I’m talking about supplies, not food. The lake was totally different than the pictures also. It was scummy and is more of a pond than a lake. The hot tub is old, but it worked, although the water wasn’t the cleanest, which was a turnoff. The very first day there we realized we had a mouse in the house, which got into some of our food. One good thing about this place is that it was quiet, probably because we might have been the only renters there that week.

Simple yet comforting

Let's start with the not so great. There was definitely a dead mouse behind the cabinets/stove area because the smell was overwhelming. I get it's a cabin in the middle of the country, but that seems like something that should've been addressed. You should expect to bring trash bags, toilet paper, towels, etc. when staying here as none of it's provided. Not the worst thing, but can be frustrating for some. Now onto the good. The town of Tomah is way more active than we expected. The main street area was pleasant and there's plenty to do in the surrounding area. The cabin itself slept really well, the fireplace was relaxing and the views are great. It was a bit cold on our visit but I'm sure the lake amenities and the hot tub are great as well. In all, we enjoyed our trip but please understand that it's a pretty standard rental intended for smaller groups/families.

The location is beautiful! The cabin is a great size and needs more basic amenities. We did contact the host in regards to blood on mattress covers and a comforter.. this was not remedied until the next day. We had to try to use the spare bedding that was clean to still use the sofa sleepers. Other than that, being unsanitary, the rest of the little things we worked with. Need to bring everything from home for your stay (toilet paper, dish soap, scrub brush, towels, hand soap..etc)

Welcome to Birch Lake Secluded Getaway! We are Sally and Terry. What a great blessing it was to stumble onto this beautiful 12-acre property in 1995. Even though the only convenience here was an outhouse (including no plumbing or electricity!) we fell in love with the rolling hills and beautiful lake. As former city dwellers and corporate dropouts who had made the choice to get out of the traffic and noise, we headed to the country with nothing specific in mind except to just get away from it all.

Starting from scratch was an adventure where over the next ten years, Birch Lake slowly began to develop. It was so much fun to put in the opportunities for the simple escape to nature; Ranging from the hiking trail in the woods, the little waterfall, and the deck out on the water. It was because of these ideas in which Birch Lake came into being. As we began to offer this experience to others we expanded, adding one cabin after another; Having each cabin carefully designed to complement and fit into the surroundings.

It has truly been a pleasure to receive the gift of trust that we deeply value from our guests. The fond memories that our guests create are what make up the ambiance of our Wisconsin vacation rentals.

It is our hope that if you decide to come here that you too will discover the peace and beauty of this gem we call Birch Lake.
