Surf & Racquet Club, joka sijaitsee vain 5 mailia Kona -kaupungista etelään, on kaunis osakehuoneisto, joka sijaitsee 16 hehtaarilla moitteettomasti maisemoitua ja tarjoaa suuren uima-altaan, 3 ammatillista tenniskenttää, katettuja palatsioita, lentopallokentän ja BBQ-ulkotilojen. S&R 3302 on toivottava ylimmän kerroksen yksikkö, jossa on lisäksi 3. makuuhuoneen parvi. Olet kävelyetäisyydellä suuresta ostoskeskuksesta, jossa on ruokakauppa, ravintoloita ja elokuvateatteri. Kiinteistön pohjoispuolella on Kahaluu Beach Park, yksi Ison saaren parhaista snorkkelirannoista. Kilometrin tai kauempana on White Sands Beach, joka on Konan suurin. Huoneistossa on 3 makuuhuonetta, 2 kunnostettua kylpyä, täysin varustettu ja hiljattain kunnostettu keittiö sekä kaakeloitu lanai 30 m päässä merestä, josta ei ole reunatonta panoraamanäköala merelle. Nukkua valtameren ääniin valtameren edessä olevan kuninkaan makuuhuoneesta. Toisessa kuningatarhuoneessa on näkymät golfkentälle, ja parvella on 2 yhden hengen sänkyä. Nauti merinäköalalla olohuoneesta ja jopa keittiön pesuallasta. Rakastat nousevia avoimia puupalkkikattoja, jotka tarjoavat kevyen, kirkkaan ilmavan tunteen ja viileämmän ilmapiirin, jota parantavat rannalla sijaitsevat merituulet .. Great stay!

This was great property for our family vacation. The view is amazing. The space was great and fit us comfortably. The property is a bit dated but regardless kept clean. And the AC was a very nice feature!

The property is a bit on the older side, and with the vaulted ceilings, it can take a while for the rooms to be comfortable, especially when humid. The views fro the living room and master bedroom is beautiful, but the place itself is a bit outdated. Short stays would probably benefit from this place.

Fantastic

Unit overlooks the ocean and was perfect for watching the sun rise and set. We saw whales and spinner dolphins from the lani. Unit does need some upkeep, but nothing to serious. Would definitely stay here again

GREAT view/Great location

The condo has the potential to be beautiful. The view is absolutely AMAZING. The grounds of the resort are well kept. However, there were several things that needed fixing...the deck chairs, an upstairs window, the faucet, we had to ask for toilet paper because there was only one partial roll in the master bathroom, the fire alarm needed a new battery and let us know at about 2am one day. The pool was drained for two days of our stay which was unfortunate but scheduled by the facility. We had a great visit to the island but I most likely would not rent this particular condo again just because with the amount of money it brings in these small things mentioned should all have been long addressed before new renters came in. The best thing about the condo was the view.

Better up keep

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was very hot when we walked in. Horrible! Shower door needs fixing,clean washer machine,it has mold, fridge needs to be cleaned out. Fix all shades in rooms. Dusting needs to happen. Remove paint cans from condo, very dangerous. On a positive note, the views were AMAZING.

Very dirty old condo—excellent location and grounds!

Rundown very dirty condo. Needs lots of cleaning and updating. Carpet was horrible and deck furniture was unusable! Towels old and ragged and pans in kitchen unusable. We purchased new glasses and pans to use during our 2 week stay! We stay at the Surf and Racquet Club every year, it is exceptionally beautiful, but never rented this condo and would not again.

Views

Absolutely would rent again. Few things to know…you have to carry any luggage up to third floor - no elevators! The condo has quirks - fans provided do a great job in cooling down the upper third bedroom, the main doors to the balcony are sticky so we used the other doors to enter/exit the balcony, the AC unit puts out a LOT of heat on the balcony. That out of the way, the location is priceless! Safe, convenient, quiet neighbors, enough parking, good internet, amazing sunsets, vast ocean views! Downstairs bedrooms are big and comfy, upstairs one is somewhat crowded with two single beds. Kitchen is well equipped. Most of all, prompt communication with manager picking up the phone and answering our questions! Thank you for a great stay.

Pics are accurate, views were amazing! The complex itself is nice, pool was great, and it's in a good quiet location. The place could use some updating and fixes (doors sticking, some outlets almost falling out of the walls, fridge door would NOT stay closed, washer had mold on the door seal, etc) and the central air was not working very well. The upstairs loft area was HOT. We tried opening all the windows & letting the cross breeze cool things down but that only worked for a day or two. Our poor family members who were sleeping upstairs were sweaty & pretty over it by the end of the week. But we made do, we were in paradise, and we weren't spending a ton of time in the unit anyway - too much to see on the island!

Great place to stay!

I’m writing this review as I sit on the beautiful lanai of this property watching the waves gently crash on the rocks directly below my view. What a dream vacation. Kona has lots to offer travelers, and we took full advantage of the Big Island and all its virtues. As for the property, it was wonderful. Do not believe all the negative reviews. This condo is worn and well-loved, but it was not filthy or unusable. The hard floors were dirty when we arrived, but there is a stocked cleaning closet, so guess what; I did a quick mop and we were good to go. The appliances are old, but functional. Bed linens and bathrooms were clean and carpets were vacuumed. There is air-conditioning, which was a blessing in this humidity, but when it’s running, the lanai gets too hot to use, so that was a balance-act. All in all, it was a perfect setting for our vacation, and would definitely rent at the Surf and Racquet Club again.

Older building that could use updates and replace outside wicker furniture in the living room. The house was dirty! Hair in bathroom drains. The towels smelled so bad I washed them 4 times, still couldn’t get the smell out so I went out and bought towels. The washing machine has mold all through it.. no cleaning supplies to clean it ourselves so had to purchase that too. For the cost charged to clean, I expected better.

Big Disappointment

The view was amazing, but the condo is in desperate need of repairs. The patio furniture was horrible. All of the cushions were shredded, the wood on the table & chairs was peeling, the lounge furniture was rusted and worn. In fact, my husband fell through one of the chairs when he sat down. The living room furniture was clean but terribly uncomfortable with very thin cushions. The air conditioning didn't work because the sliding doors to the patio wouldn't close completely so the sensors didn't connect so the only time it cooled off was at night. The carpets were so dirty we wouldn't walk around without our flipflops on because our feet would get so filthy. The washing machine had mold on the rim. There were power outlets in the kitchen & living room that were falling out of the walls and could cause a fire. I have photos of all these issues. I emailed Wayne, the property manager, so he sent his assistant, Corrina, to come by. She ended up buying new cushions & lounge chairs for the patio and acknowledged all the other issues. The window in the loft was broken so she forced it open to get air flowing through. She had someone come try to fix the sliding glass doors but they couldn't fix them. Wayne was rude to me when I emailed him and said I was just looking for things to complain about. He was more concerned about trying to justify the poor quality of the condo. I've stayed at this complex many times and this is the worst unit I've seen.

Hawaiian Vacation

This property is in a great location along ALII Drive, which is the happening strip in Kailua Kona. It’s close to multiple restaurants, shops, beaches, yet it far enough away where you don’t get caught in the traffic congestion. The condo over looks the water, the condo complex facilities: tennis courts and pool, are wonderful. Despite all of this, the condo itself was VERY disappointing. It started off at checkin when the cleaning company was unaware that we we’rechecking in, and were still there when we tried to check in. Part of the problem was a broken bed and they were waiting for maintenance to come and fix it so that they could make the bed. While the ladies were nice, and the maintenance man came within an hour to fix it, we went to make the bed and the sheets were still wet. At this point we were more annoyed than anything, and simply put the sheets in the dryer again (not a deal breaker at this point). That evening my daughter came running out of the bathroom complaining of a ton of aunts over the bathroom sink. Sure enough, they were EVERYWHERE. Tiny aunts that after some research appear to be ghost aunts. When searching for something to kill all the aunts, we discovered cockroaches! From there, the list just kept getting longer: the refrigerator inside doors are broken, the metal pull straps on ALL of the shades are rusted out. Multiple shades are broken off. Then the shade in the loft is falling off and doesn’t close. The lamp in the master bedroom has the bulb part falling out and we had had to fix it in order to turn it on, the screen sliders in each room do not work properly and each side has a screen that won’t open or close all the way, and the window in the kitchen didn’t close all the way or lock, all of the bath towels smelled like mildew despite me washing multiple times, and the washing machine has mold in it! Great View -well worn

The condo has a great view and had plenty of space for 4 of us. We enjoyed our stay . Just know going in (as we did) that this place has a lot miles on it. We had no major problems, but a handyman could spend a week or so tweaking sliding doors on the closets and master shower, the vertical blinds, electrical outlets, tv remotes, deck chairs … well you get the picture. On the plus side, the bed mattresses are decent, there are lots of beach toys in the closet and the top floor ocean view location is priceless.
