The balcony view was perfect!!
It was a spacious balcony with a table and four chairs, then about six other comfortable chairs. I could live on the wonderful balcony.

Terrible beds
The beds were terrible! Everytime you moved it made a sound and they were very old and uncomfortable. Previous people made same comment but nothing has been done. One shower doesn’t drain so u stand in your own sand water to shower. No trash bags so had to go buy them. Could hear people above you so no sleeping in. Would not recommend or return.

Comfortable furniture, well appointed kitchen. It rained EVERY day so this was important. Pool were well maintained elevators clean. It was a good week

Terrible Conditions
First, the location is as advertised but, please be aware all of the concerns voiced from previous stays have not been addressed. The beds are not beds but sheets and pillows on pure metal. Previous guest complained and apparently the owner did nothing to correct. The master bed has a permanent 10inch sag and the same with the living room pull-out. Outlets do not work in this room, guest bedroom tv does not work. Patio doors barely open. The facility was subpar and the pool and jacuzzi were filthy. The facility is run-down, tennis courts, basketball and horse shoe location is a joke. Please save your money and do not stay here.

Two BIG issues with this condo
They must replace the beds! Master bed sinks to middle and squeaks like crazy - I spent my $3000 vacation on the couch! Plus an apartment sized fridge. Ugh! Other than that it’s exactly like the pictures. Beautiful beach and pools and the unit was nice. Great sized deck too. Easy access to resort and unit. Very enjoyable.

Great stay- delivers on beach experience!
This home is older but very well appointed and very, very comfortable. The view of the beach is amazing and the unit was neat and tidy on arrival. There were also small shampoos and conditioners, items to wash dishes with and a little bit of laundry powder to get started. Beds are Linens and towels were nice and clean. Again the view if the beach is terrific and it is a short walk to the beachfront - as represented! The water and sand on this beach are great!! There are outdoor pools and access to an indoor pool but we did not use any of that. There is parasailing, banana boats and jet skis for rides/ rent if you like that. There are beach seats and umbrellas for rent on the beach. The property has outdoor grills and tennis courts also. We stuck to the beach. If you have not been to this part of the gulf shores being your groceries with you as the larger groceries are about 20 minutes away. This delivered on every aspect of our stay and we enjoyed it tremendously. This unit had plenty of good seating on the balcony and a great table. The owners have some beach items for use but we did not use these. To the owners: thanks for sharing your lovely place with us! We had a great time and would not hesitate to book with you again!

Nice location but run down unit.
The location was great, but the unit we stayed in is pretty run down. From ceiling discolored and peel, to battery missing from smoke detector, to pans being very dirty with burnt food left in them. There are two nice pools a tennis court and easy beach access. Just be careful of what unit you stay in.

Nice but needs new cleaning service
I honestly should rate this condo lower, but it had a lot of great perks. Great location to everything, well stocked with necessities, easy parking, and beautiful view. The one thing it was lacking? Cleanliness. I didnt rate it lower because I understand this isn't 100% the owners fault. They depend on their cleaning company to make sure the condo is ready. Especially in the middle of the covid pandemic, I would think they would be even more diligent. We had a box and wrappers under the bed and behind the nightstand. The sheets on the pull out bed were never cleaned. There were crumbs all over it. My kids just slept on the couch the entire week. There was residue and gunk on the big closet mirror and in all the kitchen cupboards. When we walked in, it had a very musty smell and the fridge was warm, which tells me it wasn't opened up in time before we got there. Traveling 16 to 20 hours In a car with 4 kids is tough.. you don't want to come to a place that you spent hundreds of dollars on and clean it or ot be able to use things. This is a great condo and resort, I just hope they get a better maid service. We did get engaged while we were there after 8 1/2 years together and I would have loved nothing more than to come back for our wedding/honeymoon, but would have to choose another condo if these things weren't taken care of. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay.

Great family atmosphere
We loved the laid back environment. Sassy Bass was an amazing place to eat. Only problem we had was day one trying to get into our condo. We could not get into our condo & could not reach ANYONE from the numbers I had to find out what was wrong. The security guards were the only people anywhere and they had no idea who to even call. Just so happen a lady with a clipboard was coming out of one of the other buildings and we asked her for help. She worked for Vacasa and helped us. Turns out we were sent the wrong door code! I sent an email but haven’t gotten a reply. But other than that everything was perfect.

A few small negatives, but overall...wonderful!
Pros: Beachy decor; everything (almost) you need in the kitchen plus some - tons of dishes, glasses, cookware, silverware, etc.; everything you need for the beach Leaving this info to hopefully help someone else pack less: Beach accessories galore - sand toys/shovels/buckets, boogie boards, noodles, 4 beach chairs, beach umbrella, etc. PLUS the front bedroom closet had a hand air pump and electric air pump to blow up rafts. Fans - small fan in master, large fan in 2nd bedroom Iron/ironing board, blow dryers, air mattress, lots of extra pillows, extra blankets, vacuum LOVED having the washer/dryer in unit...washed clothes before we left and re-packed so that we didn't have to bring sand/dirty clothes home with us. Simple check-in/check-out (Just a door code emailed) Cons (Just a couple): 1. New dishwasher needs to be "set" into the cabinet. It was irritating to load the dishwasher and feel like it was going to fall out. 2. The one thing we didn't have for the kitchen was oven mitts. I looked everywhere and never found any. We had to use doubled up beach towels to get things out of the oven without burning ourselves. 3. I will agree with others in saying the mattress was very uncomfortable. It almost felt like laying on the beach with lumpy sand underneath. However, we were usually so tired that we didn't notice too much. Overall, this was a great place to stay, and we would stay again. I think a small "flyer" would be beneficial to give some tips on the complex (like the fact that you go to the small building where you enter to get supplies for basketball, shuffleboard, and tennis) and where to find some of the items available in the unit (like the things located in the front closet). My only other tip would be to bring a wagon to haul everything to the beach. It's quite a walk, and having one would definitely be helpful!

Mini vacation
We rented the condo for a few days during 2019 Fall break. The condo was clean and the living area furniture was nice. The views of the ocean were good. However, the beds in both bedroom were not comfortable. The refrigerator top shelf was missing and the microwave frame was cracked, but it was still operational. The dryer in the unit took forever to dry clothes. When I booked the unit I thought it was in Gulf Shores, but it is actually in Fort Morgan. This was not an issue, but I wish I had known and I would have bought my groceries on the way in. I would definitely book a condo at Plantation Palms again, as I loved the facilities, but probably not this one unless the issues are fixed.
