Contemporary Creekside Barn

Ihastuttava, hiljattain remontoitu tupakan lato, joka sijaitsee rohkean kiireisen puron vieressä. Yksi makuuhuone, jossa on uusi queen-vuode ja sohva olohuoneessa. Massiivinen seulotaan kuistin vieressä puro. Avaa ovesi ja nauti kaskadin veden ääneen koko huoneistossa. Täydellinen kylpyhuone, jossa on liuskekivi kaakeloitu suihkukaappi. Galley-keittiötilaan kuuluu mikroaaltouuni, leivänpaahdin, pesuallas, mini-freg ja konvektiolämmitin. Kuistilla on Weberin kaasugrilli, riippumatto ja ruokapöytä.

Tilava, eristäytynyt takapihalla on tulipalo ja rohkea kiireinen puro, suuri leikkipaikka lapsille ja aikuisille.

Avaruus on kaikki yhdessä kerroksessa, mutta pääsee muutaman askeleen päässä etuovesta.

Keittiö ja ruoanlaitto ...
Keittiökeittiö on hyvin varusteltu lyhyille vierailuille, joissa on kattilat ja pannut, astiat jne. Sekä konvektiolämmitin, mikroaaltouuni, leivänpaahdin, grilli kuistilla keittämään ja pieni jääkaappi. Huomaa, että ei ole täysikokoista uunia tai pakastinta.

Nukkumisjärjestelyt ...
Sen lisäksi, että makuuhuoneessa on queen-vuode, olohuoneessa oleva sohvalla voi nukkua yhden tai kaksi pientä ihmistä, sohvalla olevaan makuualustaan voi lisätä ylimääräistä mukavuutta tai käyttää palettia lattialla.

Meidän lato sijaitsee Pensacolan yhteisössä, Burnsvillen eteläpuolella, Mustan vuoren ketjun varrella Mitchell-vuoren varjossa, Rockiesin itäpuolella. Sijaitsee noin 8 kilometriä etelään Burnsville, noin 30 kilometrin päässä Asheville, NC.

Burnsville on 10 minuutin ajomatkan ja isännän useita mukavia ravintoloita, erinomainen supermarket, panimo ja söpö kauppoja.

Helppo tutustua retkeilyyn, mukaan lukien Black Mountain Crest Trail, Big Butt Trail ja paljon muuta. Maastopyöräilyyn suosittu laakso on erinomaisella tasolla, ja se kulkee luonnonkauniilla ruokalajella.

Mt Mitchell on alle kilometrin päässä navetasta, kun varsi lentää, mutta se on noin 45 minuutin ajomatkan päässä, kun tiet kulkevat ja Black Mountainsin ympärillä pääsee Mt Mitchelliin etelästä.

Vain 15 kilometrin päässä kansallisesti luokitellusta Navitat Zip -linjan seikkailusta Barnardsvillessä.

Another fantastic stay

We stayed here 3 yrs ago and loved it. It was even better this time with a newly remodeled kitchen added. The owners have thought of everything it really feels like a home away from home. The furnishings are well tight out and the bed is super comfy after hiking for 3 days I was able to still get a good night's sleep

Excellent stay

The property was just as it explained, we explored during the day and spend most evenings hanging out on the back porch. My husband is in construction himself and absolutely loved the wood work, as did I. Short drive into Town with a grocery store close and downtown area was cute to walk around.

A Place of Peace

I really enjoyed the barn stay and the seclusion and quietness of it. It felt like home and was very cozy and the creek beside the porch was amazing. I'll definitely be chosing to stay here again.

Excellent Weekend Getaway

Everything about our stay was really wonderful! The property is beautiful and the home is clean and quaint. The screen porch is amazing and we loved sleeping with the doors open and listening to the creek. Get your groceries before you hit the property if you plan to cook. The cabin is a great home base for a weekend of hiking and relaxation. Would definitely stay again!

Just what we needed!

We were looking for somewhere to “unplug” for a few days & were definitely able to do this! No cell service, little traffic, & the sound of a creek added much to our downtime. We saw deer in the backyard & a wild turkey in the front yard. The host notified us of impending storms

Peaceful

The cabin was secure and peaceful. The stream directly outside the large screened in port creates a serenity not know in the city. The decor was nostalgic and well placed. The property manager check in on us with a simple text to be sure we arrived safely. I highly recommend this quaint yet spacious cabin!

Chuck & Connie S. Spent 5 days & 4 nights(July 8 -July12 2024) & it was all & more of every review I read about. This place is fantastic for everyone!!! We had all the amenities that John & Kerstin could possibly provide. The flowing creek is great! I challenge anyone to find such a place for the price and purity here. I do not know what else to write, but take my word for it you could not afford to look any place else in this area but here!!! We will be back for later trips to the NC mountains and will stay nowhere else. Thank You John & Kerstin

The barn was well-furnished with just about everything one needed for a stay of even several days! There were even a number of spices, seasonings, and other cooking items so that one did not need to bring everything to prepare meals, if desired. The babbling stream just outside the enclosed deck, the hammock, the games (darts, ping-pong, jigsaw puzzles, etc.), cable TV (though we didn't use it), videos, high-speed internet, comfortable bed, decor and furnishings, . . . --all of these and more made for a wonderful time away from the normal hustle and bustle of everyday life! The owner was quick to communicate answers to questions we had, as well. Located nearby a number of hikeable waterfalls, beautiful scenery, and laid back towns further added to the enjoyment of our time away!

Relaxing stay in remote mountain area

The cabin was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked. It was modern yet cozy, with lots of thoughtful details. We loved relaxing on the porch listening to the stream in the mornings and evenings, before and after our adventures hiking and visiting the city.

Very well decorated and renovated barn. Quiet and peaceful stay. Great location and the sound of the stream was amazing. I encourage people to do two things. Look for different things throughout the barn. There are hidden things to do. Also, take the gravel road out. Very scenic drive.

Amazing and Unique Expierience

The Creekside Tobacco Barn was everything and more than advertised. First off, let me say the craftsmanship put into this building is what set it apart from others. You can remodel any building, but few can remodel with unique craftsmanship. Old-style building with custom modern charm. From wood slab counter to airplane wing table to sliding barn wood doors for privacy. The place was clean, well equipped for one night to an extended stay. We were there during a tropical storm with much rain, no musty smell, warm and dry. The outside screened in porch was amazing and the sound of the creek was wonderful. The only regret we had was not being able to spend more than one evening at this amazing gem of a property. We highly recommend this property to anyone venturing out for a quiet place to stay in the mountains of NC.

Nice night at the barn

It was Labor Day weekend I was lucky to find this place at the last minute. Very nice and very secluded stay back away from the everyday hustle and a good place to go to decompress and get some country air. Over all the barn was nice and clean, very nicely decorated which I loved, had a very good and fast wifi connection and more options that you can think of as far as movies or finding something to watch on TV!! And I have to also complement on their coffee selection and spice rack; loved the variety of coffee and spices to cook with there for your use also! The only 2 minor things that I would have like to have had would have been a maybe a blind or curtain for the front door and a bug zapper on the back porch other wise this place is a very good place to go to site see the mountains country side and take some time to just relax and unwind!! Will be booking again in the near future!! Love the Barn!!

Perfect experience!!!

We only stayed one night but I wish we would’ve had more time. This place was very clean and the owners were very considerate with all the amenities they have for their quest. The bed is extremely comfortable. We didn’t use the kitchen but the couch is comfy and listening to the creek run is very relaxing. If I’m in the area again, I will definitely see if this place is available!

Beautiful setting!!

The cabin itself was beautiful and extremely comfortable. To me, the drive in and out to Burnsville was my favorite with such picturesque scenery including the river, farms, wildlife and lush landscape. The cabin had all the modern amenities but maintained the rustic feel.

Favorite rental in the area- extended our stay. Had a very hard time leaving.

After living in and around Asheville for about 6 years, I often like to visit and have stayed in a TON of really cool rentals like treehouses and urban lofts etc. This was hands down my favorite. The attention to detail, thought and care put in to the tobacco barn and property... It's cozy, calm, updated, clean, perfect. The porch and creek won my heart (pssst. theres a ping pong set up in the corner cabinet!) but the bed was also incredibly comfortable, the colors tasteful, bathroom tile felt great... John was quick to respond when I contacted about extending our stay. I didn't want to leave. We even went on a bookmarked hike found in one of the books on the shelf to check out the Ray Mica Mine... we never found the exact place to collect rocks/gems but had a great time getting lost and climbing up a mountain past several mines... Cannot WAIT to come back many more times. Thank you for creating the most special getaway to date.
