New Orleansin Uptownin historiallisen kodin pohjakerroksessa sijaitsevassa The Bell Quarters-France -huoneistossa on yhden makuuhuoneen sviitti, jonka sisustus on ranskalaista inspiroitua sisustusta yhtenä kulttuurimaisista vaikutteistamme. Avoimen tilan suunnitelmassa on minikeittiö, ruokailu- / oleskelutila ja istuva kylpy. Makuutilassa on queen-size-vuode, runsaasti kaappitilaa ja luonnollinen valo. Sijaitsee 5 luonnonkaunis korttelin päässä St. Charles Avenuella vieraat voivat helposti kävellä katsomassa Mardi Grasin paraateja, pelaamaan tennistä julkisissa tuomioistuimissamme, syömään herkullisia aterioita lähistöllä sijaitsevissa ravintoloissa tai tarttua luonnonkauniilla vaunulla muihin ihastuttaviin kohteisiin New Orleansissa.

Quick stay!

Stayed in this lovely place for 3 nights and it was a very cute, clean, nice place! It felt a little like a basement as the listing makes it seem like you are staying in the upstairs home but there was only one window but there was still enough natural light! It was great for our few nights and would definitely stay again!

Great stay in a good location.

Stay was great. Very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Check in process was easy and the owner/manager communicated everything perfectly. Close walk to the magazine st where there are plenty of food/drink and night life locations. Also very close to the St Charles streetcar which will take you to the heart of the quarter. Would recommend for couples with no children who are looking to be close to eveything but not in the middle of it.

Lovely spot in the center of the crescent

The instructions to get in were clear. The guidebook was trusty. The rental was clean and centrally located, making it easy to either hoof it or get a short ride to our destination. Would definitely book again.

Fantastic stay

We had an amazing time being back in NOLA. The apartment was very clean and the location was perfect because it was only a few blocks to the parade route. It was also very quiet at night, which was great since we were there during the Mardi Gras season. The host was very accommodating and communicative. I would definitely return.

Excellent stay in New Orleans

Lydia’s place was perfect for our group of three adults spending the weekend in New Orleans for Mardi Gras! Excellent location, clean and fully stocked with towels, bedding etc. Appreciated the guidebook with information about local restaurants/attractions and the king cake. :) Would definitely stay again

New Orleans Uptown Gem

We loved the location and history of this rental. The space was bright, cheery, and very spacious. It had everything we needed. The property owner, Lydia, is very friendly and attentive. Free street parking is definitely a plus! We loved walking around the neighborhood and easy access to walk to the St. Charles streetcar. We would recommend staying here for your New Orleans adventures. You won't be disappointed!

Our stay was good, very basic amenities, nothing extra or special. Some quirks with the home but all was fine. We were on the go most of the weekend so we did not spend a lot of extra time in the house.

Cozy place to stay for a few days

Lydia's place was a nice place to stay for a few days for my partner and I. It's not super fancy, but the neighborhood was relatively quiet and the bed was comfortable. As other reviewers have said the ceilings are low, wasn't an issue for us, but might be for others. Lydia was very responsive to questions. The home is very close to public transport which we used to get around. Good place to stay for the money.

Has potential but truly needs a considerable amount of improvement

The property listed as describe but the owner did not include the home had termite treatment holes throughout the apartment. It was over 100 of them and the owner did not even paint over the treated areas. Also there exist a musty/ moldy smell that would not go away and made it uncomfortable to breathe. I shared this concern with the owner and what I saw in this unit. she gave an excuse of the environmental issues in New Orleans. Instead of bringing in a professional or a humidifier might help with that issue. The window curtains are quite sheer. She has bright lights inside and anyone could see inside the home as well as the building less than 15 feet across the walkway. There are no window blinds at the time of my stay. The entry door is very old, has unsightly repairs. It seems the owner found items that was nailed in areas to fix the door. The door entrance is quite unattractive. At the time of my stay there were cable wires or some sort just poking all out next to the entrance of the door. It is not a kid friendly area either. The interior deco was very poor, as if she found these items in the street or items donated with less standards than goodwill and I support Goodwill all the time. The items in the unit would not be accepted by Goodwill. No interior deco matched in that apartment and not worth being insured. The ceiling is quite low so if you are a person over 6 feet tall that could pose an issue. The ceiling is low enough you can hear the tenants above. There is no sofa to watch the TV which is blocked by post beams in the entrance of the living area. I think I counted 3support beams. So watching the one television in the house could pose a problem for entertaining. The day bed is the sofa, also very dated. I stayed less than 24hrs but enough to write this review and find suitable accommodations. The unitpotential. The owner should seriously revisit this proposed investment and make it better for future VRBO tenants if she wants to be an investor. I would estimate the unit less than $60 a night and could be ideal for people who don’t value their money. I am honest with this review and not trying to sabatoge anything for this owner. The pics do offer a level a truth but with a good camera and angle made it look more than it was. I reported my concerns to VRBO and I have pictures to support this review..

Pleasant Stay in New Orleans

The space met our basic needs and was conveniently located near public transportation. The bed was comfortable and the shower was spacious and clean. The host accommodated our check-in/check-out needs and was responsive to our questions before and during our stay. One thing I overlooked in the listing was that the twin bed takes the place of a couch, so we didn't have much support for our backs when lounging and watching tv. Aside from this, we had a pleasant stay and would recommend this space to those planning to spend most time out enjoying the city.

Great location

The property is a 10 minute walk from the St. Charles Streetcar line which then gets you anywhere from Tulane to the French Quarter.

Exactly as promised

The pictures and description are completely accurate, so please notice that the ceilings are a bit low so any 6-footers may feel cramped. The neighborhood is cute and quiet and close to St. Charles and Freret. One improvement that would aid in feeling secure would be a peephole in the door since there are no windows in the living/dining/kitchen area and a chain or second deadbolt not operated by the keypad. (As it was, anybody could have come in with the code or key at night.)

Perfect experience!

I wanted a clean, safe property for me and my daughters to stay while also being walking distance to restaurants and stores. Lydia's place was perfect. It had all the accommodations needed and was comfortable and just the right distance from everything we wanted to visit. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. We truly enjoyed our visit :)

Good host, nice place, terrible VRBO customer service

Our stay was great. We had some difficulties resolving a payment issue that was not the owner’s fault but which tooks hours on the telephone with VRBO to straighten out. I won’t be doing business with VRBO again, but otherwise I would love to stay here another time.

The perfect place to experience New Orleans!

We had so much fun during our stay in New Orleans and I can say it's all thanks to having such a nice, clean, safe and comfortable place to stay. Lydia was truly amazing in communicating and ensuring our comfortability, and just overall being an amazing host. The neighborhood is a short uber to Magazine St., Bourbon St, and all the other hot spots. It's a nice quiet street and the off-street parking was a huge convenience. Seriously would recommend this property to anyone planning a trip to NOLA!

Just what I was looking for

Was in town spending time with my Tulane student. The location was great! Beds were comfortable, everything was clean! Will definitely stay again. The only thing I would bring is a fan for the room.

My neighborhood, Milan, (pronounced MY-lin) showcases a wonderful mix of new homes and historic shotguns and cottages. Bounded by St. Charles and Claiborne avenues, many popular restaurants and retail shops are nearby such as Superior Seafood, Superior Grill, New Orleans Hamburger & Seafood/Coffee & Beignets and Martin Wine Cellar. The neighborhood is very attractive and walkable.
