The Sheller's Retreat is a cute, two-bedroom home settled on a large lot just across the street from the beautiful white sands of Panama City Beach. The master bedroom sleeps two in a queen bed, and the second bedroom has two twin beds. This home has a large living area suitable for the entire family. The home has a washer and dryer and the kitchen is equipped with dinnerware, glassware, pots, and pans. The home is within walking distance to the famous Mike's Diner, is close to shopping and dining, and is about a 10-minute drive to Pier Park, the hub of Panama City Beach. Make this home your perfect getaway!

Beach access/Location

Affortable accommodations! Location to beach is unbeatable. We had a few maint issues that were addressed asap. Nothing that kept us from enjoying our trip. Suggest new mattresses & clear musty smell from air.

First visit to Panama City Beach

Loved it!!! Beach access is right across the street. So much is within walking distance.Cozy, clean home. Definitely would stay again.

Perfect proximity to the beach

Cute little property with everything we needed. Was clean and comfortable with perfect proximity to the beach and surrounding amenities. Not fancy or flashy but a perfect stay when you just need a place to lay after being out playing all day.

Nice location

Loved the home and location to beach access. Just walk out door and you are right at beach access. If you dont require a fancy place this one is perfect. Nice older home. Need more kitchen utensils and some dish cloths and dish towels. I will definitely stay here again. Had a very nice time and enjoyed my stay.

Almost empty nesters

The location is perfect. Just cross the street and you are on the beach. This place had all the basics you need, but if you have to have your space fancy, this isn’t for you. It could use come TLC but overall, we would stay again.

Stay away

This home could be awesome if someone gave it a little TLC. Our stay was barely tolerable for the 2 nights but I would NEVER rent it again. Negatives: no wash clothes. Washer was nasty, shower curtain full of mold, kitchen sink is hooked to the hot water for both faucets, kids bedroom smells like cat pee. We reached out to the host through the app but still have not gotten a reply. Bed is sleep-able but could use a mattress topper, couch needs to be replaced. There is internet password on the bottom. Window unit in living room and bedroom keeps house decent in those rooms. House is right across the road to a public beach entrance but we did notice that people blocked the driveway,parking to get to the beach.

Could be better

The house itself is very quant, as stated in the post however there are many little things that could/should be done. For starters, we had no heat. I was thankful my mother was staying close by to get some blankets because the so called bla ket we had was like tissue paper. We tyrned on the heat only to discover when we woke up freezing, that the gas had been turned off. We had no washclothes, no trash receptacle to put the trash in, were left i structuon to put dish in the dishwasher and run it when we left along with dishwasher detergent but there was no dishwasher in the place and nothing to wash dishes with, windows were very dirty and hard to see out of. Tried finding out what we were supposed to do with a few thing at check out and never got a response. The location and view were wonderful but the rest was very sad. It could be a place people would love to come back to if someone would put a little time and effort into it. And...the master bedroom picture doesnt match the house. In further looking, that is the master besroom for a different loction. If you are looking for a place to stay, I'd suggest looking at other places. We won't be back.

Room for Improvement

The house is in a great location. The walk to the beach is easy and close. We did have problems with people blocking the driveway because it was right at the public beach parking. This happened two days in a row. Signage indicating to please not block the driveway would be nice . The house is old and only has window units for air . The unit in one of the bedrooms did not work the first night. It was replaced the next day. We could not use the microwave unless we unplugged something else. We tripped a breaker and power to both bedrooms went out. This also happened when I tired to use a hairdryer . The house really needs to be rewired . The light in the bathroom flickered when we turned the shower on. It was concerning . The house was not stocked for the four people that it claims to accommodate . We only had two wash clothes and the kitchen was not stocked for 4. There two forks. The furniture was very old and stained. The remote was missing in one of the bedrooms so we were unable to watch TV. The house could be nice with some upkeep. It just appears to be not very well cared for. It was an ok stay but I was a little disappointed given the amount of money that I paid.

No response to voicemail

I called the "24 hour" line to try to get the wifi network and password as it was not provided by the property manager. I got no response from them. I would recommend making sure the property manager is more responsive in the future.

Not for picky people

the location of this house is perfect, we had some problems. First the air conditioning in the rooms, one makes too much noise when it cools, the other was super full of mold, nobody slept in that room because my husband, my baby began to sneeze,the pillows/couch are dirty/steins. cleaning not very good, there were many dead bugs everywhere and dust, In the kitchen they need to change the old and scratched pots, the Teflon is already falling on the pots and that is not good for cooking, there are no spoons for cooking, there is no dishwasher and on the website it says there is, also there is no can of garbage to remove the one inside the house. location is fine but it has a lot of things to fix.
