Awesome Holiday Week

We loved our stay at the reunion retreat! We had a large group with tons of children. The indoor slides and gym kept our kids entertained for an entire week! Our host was always available for any questions we had and communicated over the holiday weekend!

Great for family reunions

We had a great stay. There were thirty of us, 12 adults and 18 kids aged 4 to 18. Excellent for kids - slides, trampoline, playground, basketball court, lots of places to play. The kitchen was well stocked, plenty of room for everyone to sit for eating and gathering in the two living rooms.Tyson was an excellent communicator. The home is a great value. We will definitely stay here again!

Great Family Reunion House

The highlight for us was the views, the play area for kids, the slides that go all the way down to the basement, the huge basketball court inside, the trampoline, the play set and the amount of space to fit every one! Overall was a great place for all my family members during Thanksgiving week! The property manager was quick to respond with any concerns that arose & although he wasn’t the one to come fix issues, he offered reimbursement for anything that needed fixed. The house is under construction due to maintenance guys coming in and fixing things but it was a great stay and I would stay there again!

Family Reunion

Everyone had a blast even though there were a lot of things advertised that weren't there (movies, putters, balls, games, etc.) Theater room had no instructions on how to use the projector. slippery slides and playroom were a big hit for all ages. Place could use a thorough cleaning.

Family Reunion Over the Top!!

This property is perfect for all ages. Grandma took a nap in the middle of the chaos. There is a space for everyone and everything. The little kids felt like they were in a castle with so many places to explore in a safe place. The variety of entertainment (pool table, ping-pong table, air hockey table, theatre, basketball, trampoline, playgrounds) was exceptional. Truly something for everyone. We loved the big kitchen and all the living spaces. 10 out of 10 - definitely.

Roomy and close to water and beach

Large enough to cover our large group. The play areas were wonderful. If we had any issues the owner was quick to respond. The indoor slide was a hit with the children

Fantastic big group rental

This is the perfect house for large gatherings! The most gorgeous view of bear lake with plenty of room to gather and corners to hide in. The indoor play area is the most used spaced for us and it was so fun during the winter months.

Great accommodations for our large group

The house was just what we needed with our 40+ size group. With a winter reunion it was perfect to have the indoor playground and slides and two TV rooms for the kids, kept them engaged the whole time. I got compliments from almost every family member that I had booked a great place, and that’s a tall order;) We will use it again if we are back in the Bear Lake area for sure!!

FUN FUN Place to Stay

This place was amazing. The kids and grandkids had so much fun all the way from the 1-year-old up to the adults. They never ran out of stuff to do. The recreation room was great. We were worried about the noise, but you couldn't even hear it from the Kitchen. The windows to check in on the kids was a plus. The slides between floors were a hit and constantly in use. The kitchen had plenty of seating for everyone. The walls were all patched all over, but it made it seem like we didn't need to walk on eggshells (like we have had to in some houses where you don't dare leave the kids out of sight in fear they might touch something). The house still seemed very clean with new carpet.

There were a couple things broken, but I really appreciated a call from the owner prior to check-in giving us a heads up. He's extremely responsive. All my employees had a great time!

Fun house

We had a great family reunion. Super fun house with lots of space. We had some issues with one shower not working and the theater room did not work but besides that all was great.

Good family reunion site

Though the property has some maintenance issues, like non-functional electric skillets, the overall experience was excellent with the built in play room. The cousins all loved it, and the adults could visit together more while still keeping the kids entertained.

amazing house with so much space and activities!

We needed a place where 30+ people could gather and eat in the same room, and this fit the bill. The vast picture windows afforded beautiful sunrises! There was such a variety of things to do: the inside playground, air hockey, pool (although the pool cues need to be fixed or replaced) slides going down the stairs, exterior decks, plenty of washers and dryers. Only about a half mile to the new 8 pickleball courts, and not far to the marina, stores, Rendezvous beach, Bridgerland Adventure center and other activities. Also plenty of parking! We had about 10-12 cars there without a problem.

A dream come true.

There was everything I could think of that I would need. The view is to die for! The house is very comfortable and condusive to big groups to hang out. The indoor playground is a hit! The kids were always on the go with each other. There is also a school type playground outside. The kids loved that too, but it was cold, so it is great that there was an indoor play area. Love the place!

Perfection

This property has everything you would need and more to have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Plenty of room, seating, beds, activities and all with the most amazing views. Tyson was a terrific host and kept me updated about the property. I really liked that he called me personally to welcome me and my family. I knew that I could have called him at any moment if a need did arise, but with all that this home provides, I can’t think of a thing you would need. We were within walking distance of the Raspberry Days festivities and had the best views of the boat light parade and fireworks. This property is something special and Tyson was very professional and wanted to make sure our stay was everything we hoped it would be. Check in and check out were a breeze. We were so impressed by ALL OF IT! I couldn’t recommend this place more. It was amazing. If you take care of this property it will certainly take care of you. Thanks again Tyson. We had THE BEST time. See you real soon!

Large Family Reunion

Bear Lake was the destination decided on by my very large family for our reunion this year. This Playhouse was the perfect size and location for what we needed and had planned. There truly was something do to at all times for any age group inside and out. During the day, when we weren't at the beach, there was always a basketball game taking place with old and young alike! The littles loved the indoor playhouse and races were constantly taking place down the indoor slide. Washer and dryers on two different levels were a mom pleaser. The only disappointment was the cleanliness. We spent the first couple hours cleaning up the house before we could unpack. Someone even helped by sweeping the garage that was covered in dirt to keep it from being tracked inside. The owner was very helpful and even sent my nephews wallet back that was left at the house.

Great house for a lot of people!

We had a family reunion at this home--so there were anywhere between 40-45 people there all week. It was great having all the bedrooms and bathrooms. The kids LOVED the slides that went between the floors. There was plenty of room in the upstairs family area for all of us when we wanted to all be together. But our favorite part of the home was the two-story recreation room for the kids. The basketball court, trampoline, and playhouse were great! We used the basketball court for family games and relays. The kids had a ball in there, and it was wonderful having a place they could go and play. There was parking room for twelve cars--but it was a little tricky. We pulled three cars into the front of the garage. Then three more cars parked behind the first three cars--still in the garage. Then we parked six more cars on the driveway. We all fit--but it was a little crazy when someone in the garage needed to move their car. Also, Tyson, the owner, was great to work with.

We loved the slides!

Our group had a great time at this rental. The slides between floors were a big hit with kids and adults alike. Some of us never walked down the stairs (only up). The view from the upper two decks was gorgeous! We were surprised to find the knife drawer was just the right height for toddler access and would recommend the knives be moved. When we tried to watch a movie in the theater room, we were unable to get it to work. That wasn’t a big problem as we could move the movie viewers to the room with a large TV. Several in our group had ice cold showers. We think the hot water timed out but someone in our group was able to figure out how to get it turned back on. The shower in the basement near the laundry room did not work though it was fine for baths. There were plenty of towels but we had to find them in the basement laundry room as there were not enough in the bathrooms. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. It is obvious this place has been well loved.

Very well thought out - Poor execution

On paper this place looks amazing, and in a lot of ways it truly is. The layout is very functional, the kitchen easily accommodates large crowds, just tons of space. Our family of about 30 have been doing summer retreats for several years and this was the most spacious house. That being said, there were several short comings that led to overall disappointment. Not one of the remotes had batteries, several of the TVs took figuring out and cable swapping to work. The theater rooms HDMI was faulty and neither of the 2 xboxes worked at all let alone together. Several other smaller things like burners on the stove not working, lights out, some beds didn't have sheets on them, shower drains not staying open, etc. Overall had fun, and the kids really didn't care about most of these things. They will talk about the play room and slides for years - very unique and fun feature. For the price these short comings really need to be addressed.

Lots of room to run around

The good: Overall, our large extended family (13 adults and 12 young children) enjoyed our stay at "The Playhouse." The spacious layout allowed room for everyone to have private sleeping quarters with plenty of mingling space in the daytime. Our young children (the oldest was 6), especially enjoyed the basement floor playground. The unit is well stocked and included a Christmas tree for our celebrations. The view is fabulous - the room temperatures were adjustable and comfortable. The location in Garden City is easily accessible - even in the winter. The not-so-good: The Playhouse is showing its age. Aside from litter and candy in the unvacuumed carpet, we found one of the microwaves was broken, one washing machine caused some flooding, and the A/V equipment in the theater room was in disarray, missing batteries in the controllers and lacking an HDMI cord. One TV didn't work at all. Neither did the gas fireplace in the living room. We were also put off by the stiff feeling of the carpeting - the owner told us he recently had it cleaned, so perhaps it was residue in the carpets? If you do notice problems, be sure to contact the owner during your stay; he was not willing to adjust the cost after our stay. We really wanted to give it a full 3.5 stars, but the system didn't allow that.

Just returned from several days at this property. We had a family reunion with lots of little ones, teens, young married couples and plenty of older couples, too. The space of the house is great. We didn't feel we were constantly on top of each other and in each other's way. Parking is ample. Rooms were plenty. It was comfortable and cozy. The kids adored the play area and spent the majority of the time there and it was great to have it! There are a lot of stairs...so keep that in mind for older people in your group. Tons of plates, cups and utensils. Plenty of seating in the kitchen area and family room for meals. I do have some constructive comments: when we arrived, we were informed, by the cleaning crew, that 3 of the 4 sets of washers/dryers were not working. 1 of the 2 dishwashers was not working...so incredibly glad we brought tons of paper plates, plastic cups etc. since there was only 1 dishwasher. We had heard paper towels, toilet paper and hand soap were not supplied well and so we brought our own. Seems for the price of rental, these basic items should be in plentiful supply (owner could make a Costco run twice a year and stock up...keep it locked up and instruct the cleaning crew if the next group is big and staying for a while, thus to stock the bathrooms and pantry well with supplies). This home desperately needs a second refrigerator. Also, I feel we should have been informed beforehand about the broken washers, dryers, dishwasher....and the non-functioning theater room, low playroom supplies that are advertised as being present (due to previous renters abusing them), and that there are no instructions on how to operate the t.v.'s etc. I, personally, feel that the rental price should be adjusted when many things advertised were not available for our use....especially when these extra amenities are what drew us to this rental, in the first place. I would recommend this house for large groups, but I would recommend that you investigate if all amenities are available and in working order. Although we had some hiccups, we loved spending time together in this home and it was a wonderful weekend. We would definitely consider staying here again. The area is beautiful and peaceful. The house is very well centrally located.

House extremely well designed. Dealing with the owner, Tyson, concerning problems is a NIGHTMARE.

EXCEPTIONALLY POOR MAINTENANCE of THIS HOUSE. PROBLEMS: (1) Weeds 3 feet high almost covering the front walkway. Weeds all around the house. Lawn looks like it has never been watered. (2) NO instructions or help on gaining entrance into the house when we arrived. NO HELP getting acquainted with the house. Fortunately, the back door cannot be locked, so we gained entrance there. (3) NO soap in any of the auto soap dispensers in each of the 7 bathrooms. (4) Hole in bathroom shower wall between Rooms 4 & 5. (5) Fan in this bathroom does NOT work. (6) Rips in two of the fabric sofas upstairs (7) Projector in movie room overheats, so cannot watch movie all the way through (8) Recliner chair in second floor TV room won't go down, cushion is hammered (9) Trampoline was missing 7 springs, with about 10 other springs completely stretched out. Owner told us where he kept a box of springs (10) Vinyl coach upstairs is peeling off pieces. (11) Ice maker in kitchen freezer does NOT work (12) Left stove: center burner does not work (13) Right stove: right back burner and center burner do not work (14) 5 of the bathrooms had NO toilet paper in them when we arrived. (15) NO paper towels in kitchen when we arrived. Calling owner who told us how to get in storage closet to get toilet paper & paper towels (16) Hard-to-read- small hand written note taped on wall gave instruction how to access WiFi (17) Air hockey score board does not work. (18) Lowest floor and 2nd floor doors have NO holes in the door frames for the deadbolt locks on the doors (19) Tub in bottom floor bathrooms by laundry does NOT drain well. (20) Toilet in this bathroom is WOBBLY (21) Miniature toilet in upstairs bathroom, toilet seat is broken (21) Checkout instructions said garbage "must" be taken to the dumpsters in the Mobile Home park at the bottom of the hill. There is NO mobile home park at the bottom of the hill. (22) Master bedroom door won't close (23) Master bedroom shower door won't close. (24) NO blow dryers in any of the bathrooms When we contacted Tyson about any of these problems, his response was always "Thank you for telling me..." No apologies. No solutions offered other than telling us how to access storage closets so WE could fix HIS problems. Dealing with Tyson was extremely dissatisfying. FUTURE RENTERS BEWARE! FOR THE AMOUNT OF MONEY WE PAID, I FEEL CHEATED! Our kids LOVED the playroom and the indoor slides. Kitchen big enough for all. BEAUTIFUL VIEW.

Great house with great things for the kids!

The kids LOVED it. It needs a deep clean and that water in the tub was running a tub of water every 40 minutes the whole stay. We contacted management 4 separate times and no one came to fix it. The hot water had problems off and on too. But the property was beautiful and the view was outstanding!

I chose to build this home because I have a large and close extended family and a great deal of friends that that all travel together. We absolutely love the Bear Lake area, and our issue was that there was nothing that existed that would comfortably house all of us, allow us to have entertainment, have room to cook a meal, and keep the kids occupied and happy. This house does it all. The indoor playground is absolutely great, because it keeps the kids happy and occupied, especially when we go up in the winter for skiing, and snowmobiling. The kids are able to enjoy things they would normally do outside, all inside the house. I also have the middle floor of the house with six observation windows and a railing so the adults have their space, but have a good idea of what the kids are up to.

Benefits you will enjoy while staying here is simply that a large family can be comfortable, have a great time, and relax, knowing the kids have tons of things to do, and they are safely within the walls of the house.
