The condo is in a great location, in relation to Sandpoint and the ski resort (Schweitzer): about 10 min from town and 15 min from the resort. The small development is surrounded by woods and feels like you are in the mountains. The only drawback to the location is occasional noise issues. It's only about a quarter mile from railroad tracks and if you have the windows open, you will hear the trains quite distinctly - and there are quite a few during the day (and night). You will also hear the noise from the road to the ski resort (maybe 100 yds away). We stayed during the summer and there was a lot of construction going on at the resort, so there were numerous large trucks headed up there. With the windows closed (in the winter or when using the AC), the noise is not as noticeable. The host was one of the BEST we have ever encountered. Communication was excellent and he was very responsive. I asked about a hair dryer the first day we were there and the host dropped off a brand new one (plus a new blender, which we hadn't mentioned), just a few hours later. He was right on top of all our communications and was very easy to work with. The condo was well supplied, with 2 coffee makers (drip and Keurig), blender, plenty of dishes, decent cookware (often lacking in rentals), kitchen knives, and lots more. The Roku TV provided lots of options and variety for entertainment. Even though there was just 2 of us, having a 2nd bathroom was very helpful. In our opinion, the biggest "con" of the condo is that it is very dated - furniture, decorating, main bathroom.
