Beautiful Lake House with View

This house was perfect for the 9 of us! The pool table and bar/snack area was a hit! The master bathroom was fantastic!!! The kitchen was stocked with all the dishes/pans/pots and all the extra things!! Thank you!!!

Amazing!

We have been renting through VRBO for years and this has been the absolute best home we've stayed in! Everything in the listing is accurate, the property was immaculate, communication with the owners was immediate responses. The home was very well appointed with anything you may need and then some, the attention to detail was flawless! Thank you so very much for allowing us the opportunity to spend the holiday in your home, it exceeded our expectations in every way. We all enjoyed the fauns playing outside the kitchen window!

Lake Norris Family Vacation

This property is a retreat in a beautiful setting. We enjoyed the vista and sightings of deer, birds and fox. Enjoying coffee on the deck and porch swing in the morning was a delight. The home was everthing we needed and more. Pictures don't do it justice. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and nicely appointed. A very comfortable home!

Quiet Christmas Lake Stay

We really enjoyed our stay and the house was comfortable for all 12 of our family over the Christmas holiday. I would argue that the house presents better than the pictures online. Great views, quiet, and very peaceful. The supermarket is about a 30 minute drive so make sure to stop on your way in if you don't want to go back out. Lisa was a great host and very responsive. Very, very lovely home and we look forward to booking again soon!

House was perfect for our family

This house was perfect for our family. We've stayed in a lot of houses at Norris and this one will go down as a favorite! The views are so beautiful and the outside areas so welcoming. So many different spaces and areas that you never feel crowded and always have something to do. We enjoyed walking through Deerfield resort and having the winery and tiki bar so close by. The owners were great to deal with and we are hoping to book future stays here.

Far Exceeded Expectations!

Spacious home, beautiful views, wonderful hosts! Our group of friends vacationed at this home for a long weekend and we had everything we needed. Lisa was very quick to answer all our questions and was so kind! The home is situated on a big hill overlooking Norris Lake - but the pictures do not do it justice! The rooms are very large and accommodating, and there are lots of great places to spend time together both inside and out. The kids especially loved the two seater swing down below. This home has a great location near to the pool (a short walk but some big hills), the neighborhood is close to several marinas (we rented a boat and jet skis to tour the lake), and about 30 minutes from hiking. Would not hesitate to book again! Thank you!

Beautiful home

The pictures do not do the house justice, its beautiful. Very clean, spacious with room for family to gather and have separate spaces. Our adult kids loved the basement and we loved the fireplace upstairs. The view of the lake off the deck is great. It is a little ways from things like hiking. We stayed in April which meant the lake was not an option. Too early in the year to rent a boat or be able to fish. We golfed and the course is tough but really beautiful. Would definitely recommend staying, but maybe more warmer weather time to enjoy lake. Owners we very helpful, responsive and answered any questions we had.

Amazing rental!!!

Amazing experience from beginning to end. The homeowner was quick to respond and very helpful during our trip. My family of six vacationed for 8 days with the kids attending virtual classes for 2 of the days. The wifi was strong with all of the kids online. Each of us had our own room and the three bathrooms was very helpful. The home is immaculate and the kitchen has all of the pots, pans, plates ect to cook for our large family. Amazing view of the mountains and the lake! Enjoyed watching the deer in the front yard each day. We were lucky enough to enjoy about 3 inches of snow on our last day. The home owner was so kind as to let us stay a few extra hours on our check out day to ensure the roads were safe for traveling. Highly recommend this rental. A great place to get away from it all!

Family Thanksgiving

We just returned from our 4 night stay at the Hanke Haus. This property is beautiful and the views are breathtaking. In years past, we all go home to my parents’ house for Thanksgiving. My family recently relocated to Charlotte, NC so this year I was tasked with finding a place where we could all meet that was of equal driving distance for all of us (Charlotte, Columbus OH and Indianapolis). This home exceeded all of our expectations...especially my mom’s (she’s picky and expects every rental to pass the white glove test). The kitchen was perfectly appointed with anything you might need/want. With 5 bedrooms, there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and have their own space. We enjoyed playing pool and corn hole and we’re glad they were available. Seeing the deer on the front lawn daily was a nice perk and the kids loved it. I’m glad I found this little slice of heaven in TN. We’ll be back!

Refreshing getaway

Beautiful, well- maintained property. Some confusion over date availability at the onset, but we were able to adjust our plans and had a wonderful trip! Kitchen was well-stocked, deck areas were incredible, and the downstairs featured lots of entertainment regardless of weather - pool table, darts, game table and large TV area. The only thing that would have made the property perfect was if it were Lakeside, but the views were spectacular and the house very warm, welcoming, and accommodating for a large family gathering. Thank you for a wonderful trip! Wouldn’t hesitate to rent again.

Perfect for Families

This house is fantastic! Super close to Deerfield Cove Marina. We rented a slip at the Marina and were able to park our trailer at the bottom of the hill at the house all week. This house was absolutely perfect. It was clean, well stocked and large enough for our three families. The basement was great for hanging out after the kids went to bed. You can't go wrong with this fantastic home, we hope to come back next year.

Looking for relaxation

If you are looking for a place to prop up your feet, watch the deer and relax. This is the place. Loved watching the deer come by. We had 7 deer in the yard on the last night.

Awesome Property

We loved the house and was comfortable for all of us. Everything we could have needed was supplied, and everything was clean. The view of the lake and wonderful decks were beautiful. We all, adults and children, enjoyed watching the deer. We took some amazing photos.

Extremely satisfied

The house was beautiful and had plenty of room for all. The kitchen was well equipped with anything you would need. The location was great. It has a beautiful view. The wild life was a great surprise. There were 8-10 deer in the front yard each morning. We enjoyed the pool table and corn hole boards after a day on the lake. The boat slip at the marina was another reason to love this rental. We are planning on coming back next year.

Absolutely spectacular!!!

My family was extremely happy with our 5 day stay at this beautiful lake house. We had every bed filled and still had plenty of room throughout the rest of the house. Tons of living space both indoors and out allowed us spend quality time relaxing, playing games and enjoying delicious meals. The views are absolutely spectacular and the serenity is like no other house we've stayed on Norris Lake. Just a couple recommendations for consideration to make this place absolutely perfect is a second refrigerator on the lower level would be extremely useful for large groups and some towel bars in the master bath.

Great family experience at a great house

We rented the house over a long Thanksgiving weekend. The house and the owners exceeded our expectations. The owners were great and very responsive. The house was clean and well appointed. Two living areas gave the little ones their own space to play in. Kitchen was well equipped. Decks were awesome. Loved seeing the deer in the yard everyday. Overall a great experience.
