Nestled in the beautiful Black Hills, this wonderful three-bedroom cabin provides a great place to get away from it all. With enough room for everybody, the whole gang can gather here! The gas and wood fireplaces help to create a cozy and inviting ambiance. The hot tub is the perfect place to soak away stress and the deck is made for unwinding and relaxing. The location in Terry Peak is ideal for viewing the Black Hills Forest and a variety of wildlife. Moose Tracks is a well-appointed cabin near the Terry Peak Ski Area and only eight miles to downtown Deadwood. Take advantage of the central AC and free WiFi during your stay.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles.

Please note: this home resides in a noise-sensitive area and the owners participate in our Good Neighbor protection program. Our smart home technology will alert our team if excessive decibel or occupancy levels are detected, allowing us to reach out directly with a reminder of maximum occupancy and quiet hours. This technology is privacy compliant, and only monitors the presence of decibels and devices-not any personal conversation or information. Thank you for supporting our efforts to be good neighbors!

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Nice Location!!

We really enjoyed staying here. The location was great. It was close to terry peak and just a short drive into Deadwood. It wasn't very clean when we arrived, but the manager was very helpful in that way. The pool table and ping pong were great to keep us busy. And we also loved using the hottub and sauna.

Great family stay

This cabin was a great fit for our family and the hot tub and sauna were the highlight. Our only complaint was that the grill did not work great, and that was the only type of food I had brought along.

Decent cabin

Nice size cabin, nice beds. Hot tub, sauna and indoor fireplaces are nice. WiFi did not work well. Cabin is older and has some updates, but not everything is updated. Checkout is 10am, which is pretty early. Dry quiet place, lots of trees around so is pretty secluded

Cleanliness

The area was beautiful and South Dakota has so many things to offer. But for our rental it was nothing to brag about. When taking a vacation you should be able to relax and not do a thorough "spring" cleaning on your arrival. I have rented many vacation homes and have never had to clean any of them upon arrival. For the price we paid, we expected to just go into the home and enjoy the week, and not have to worry about anything besides making sure it was cleaned on departure, not arrival.

House had a rodent in it

Shortly after unloading our vehicles, we discovered fresh rodent feces in the lower level, it was much larger than a mouse, possibly a squirrel or woodchuck there was also a Christmas tree in a corner by the stairs that you could tell this rodent had been shredding. We were very concerned that the animal was still in the cabin. We had already called regarding the air conditioners not working so were waiting on a call back on that when we also discovered that there was rodent feces on the main floor. At this point we contacted Larissa who immediately found us a different property to move to, which we agreed to do. This moved us out of the area we were in which we had researched for ATV riding, we also gave up amenities including sauna and pool table. We appreciate Larissa’s quick response and finding us a new place quickly, we had two babies under the age of 1 that would be crawling around on the floor etc. But I do feel that we should be compensated as we had hauled our ATV 300+ miles to enjoy the trails that we had researched in the new area we did not know where to ride. The 12 year old was excited about using the pool table as well and the new cabin did not have any thing similar for him to do.

Little Wooded Paradise!

We thoroughly enjoyed our getaway atop Terry Peak, surrounded by aspen and pine! Clean, roomy and plenty of areas to chill if you want a few moments alone, but set up to gather comfortably in the same room. Wonderful gathering spot for a game of pool, hot tub or enjoying night sounds on the deck.

All around Amazing!

The house was everything expected and more! The pictures do not do it justice. We saw several deer while we were there as well. The kids enjoyed the game room and hot tub. Only negative (if you really want to call it that) there was no pizza cutter!! We had an excellent stay and would highly recommend to our friends and family!
