Bring friends and family to the Shake Shack! A spacious 4000 sq foot private home with 7 bedrooms and 9 baths. All 7 bedrooms have private ensuites! 5 min stroll to the beach and 1.5 mile to Duck dining and shopping! The five minute stroll (or 1 minute car ride) to the beach on a dead-end street is densely populated with a live oaks. Shake Shack is well-outfitted with several options to entertain adults and kids alike. Hot tub, pool table, foosball, ping-pong table, corn hole, firepit, private porches overlooking yard filled with mature live oaks! Located just a few minutes to quiet beach, Duck shops and restaurants. Around the corner .3 miles is a park with basketball courts and playground. We also provide passes to the private home owners only beach access w parking, showers, volleyball court, and bathrooms. Neighborhood has tennis courts, several marinas, multiple parks and easy access to every convenience (grocery x4, pharmacy, urgent care, restaurants and shopping). Also provided are beach cart, chairs x4, and cooler.

The house contains 7 private bedrooms each with its own full bath. All new mattresses! Hangout in one of several great common areas or private porches. Perfect place to accommodate larger groups. Elevator access to all floors. You can walk in ground level and not take a single set of stairs! Wheelchair accessible via elevator.

Hi Tara!!!! I tried to leave a review but was unable to however wanted to let you what a fantastic home you have and how much we enjoyed our stay this past week! My brother in law found your property on VRBO and booked it for our family vacay!!!! The home and property did not disappoint! We all loved the lay out of the house as well as all the special touches such as the welcome basket and sunscreens etc. The decor is gorgeous and well done! I enjoyed sitting on the back deck every morning and late into the evening! And the location is superb for beach access, shopping and the overall OBX experience! We absolutely loved our stay this past week and look forward to future stays. Have a blessed rest of the summer 😊

Great stay

Great property! Tons of space for our group of 16. Short walk to beach and the best stocked kitchen I have ever had in a rental. Our host always was quick to answer questions and a delight to deal with before, during, and after our stay.

Great Family Property

Overall the experience was very enjoyable. The kitchen was well equipped. We so many adults we love having on-suites for all of the bedrooms.

Great week!! Great house!!

We had a really great time in this lovely home. Very excited for them to get a pool in the fall. Definitely will return. Thank you so much. There was a welcome basket waiting for us, lots of toys and chairs, well decorated. Great back decks to relax in. Very nice!

Incredible Vacation

We cannot say enough about this house and the host. Everything was exactly as it was described and the host could not have been more helpful. She checked in with us multiple times and responded in minutes anytime we had a question. The house was extremely clean and there were no issues. We had ten people staying in the house and we had more than enough room. The house was a short walk to a private beach that was incredible and a short ride into downtown Duck. We couldn’t have been any happier with our vacation and Tara was absolutely incredible.

Our Family Vacation

This house has a great layout for larger families. The house interior was clean although a total lack of privacy with sheer curtains and no blinds in places that are very necessary and the lack of linens was ridiculous for a house this large. The Air conditioning worked in majority of house but never was restored in one of the bedrooms. Workers showed up and never announced themselves. We gave up on any discussion about the house with the owner. The exterior of the house had random trash behind and in landscaping. It could be top notch but needs some attention. We made the best of our week By hanging towels over windows and washing towels a lot. Hopefully it will be given some extra TLC because it is a good rental.

If I could leave a TEN STAR review I would!

My husband and I take an annual summer vacation to OBX with our tribe of 6 children. Needless to say when we rent a home for a week we need a lot of space! It took me 2 days to see every room in this house, it is beautiful inside. More than ANYTHING it is CLEAN!! The host was beyond kind, she answered every question, gave us tips for travel, traffic etc. They even had a welcome guide and checkout procedures which allowed us to checkout using the checklist from the host. The beach is a hop skip and a jump away, grocery stores less than 2 miles away, life was fantastic for the week! We have already planned another stay next summer (if the house is available we are booking asap). The house is super kid friendly with pool tables, ping pong table and a large TV in the game room. The elevator came in very handy when hauling our luggage to and from the truck. In a nutshell what made this vacation so great wasn't the large house or elevators, those are lovely and were great for my family of 8. What mattered to me the most was the host making us feel as if it were our "home away from home" offering help with anything we needed day or night. In my opinion that is what made our family vacation one to remember.

Our group appreciated the fact that six of the bedrooms had private baths, and the lower level was perfect for the family with young children. Also, the kitchen was well stocked with almost everything we needed. The location was good overall, although we weren’t crazy about

Great family gathering home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The multiple open spaces throughout the inside and outside of property gave our multi-family group options to gather together including a large dining area and also spread out when needed. Beds were very comfortable and you can’t beat the en-suite bathrooms for every bedroom setup. Communication with the owners was amazing, they truly care about making sure their guests have a 5star stay - would absolutely rent from them again! The beach parking passes for Hillcrest Drive was 2min drive and has a lifeguard, perfect for the kids! On a day that the riptides were too strong we tested out our 4wd vehicles and drove down to the 4x4 beach and spotted the wild horses, highly recommend! Can’t wait for our next obx trip!

Great house for family trips

Great house with lots of room for family getaways. Loved that all the bedrooms had their own bathrooms, and the kids loved the pool table and foosball table. Short walk to a nice beach, and there’s lots of beach gear included with the house. Short drive to grocery stores and restaurants, so the location’s convenient. Property owner was quick to answer questions and address any minor issues. Definitely recommend!

Long weekend with family

A few of us from our Ohio family met up with relatives from Virginia that we hadn’t seen for several years. With 10 adults and 1 child this spacious home was perfect for us! Lots of outside space with seating on 2 levels and in both front and back of home. We never felt crowded and lots of space to have alone time if needed. House is well equipped and beautifully decorated. I LOVED the very comfortable beds - new mattresses on all beds. A very short walk to the beach and short drive into Duck. Ideal location. This was my first trip to OBX - look forward to the next!

We discovered OBX and fell in love with the uniqueness of the geography and history. There is so much to do and yet the vibe relaxing. That it makes for a vacation that has something for everyone. Surfing, kayaking, visiting wild horses, aviation museum, sound side sunsets, biking to dinner, sunset sailing, sunset yoga on stand up paddle boards and lifeguarded beaches keep us coming back again and again!

We are a family with 3 kids that spends a lot of time at OBX. Every time we went, each kid would want to bring a friend or two. We found this house to be a perfect way to accommodate teenagers. They all have their own private spaces but can also get together in the game room or in the hot tub, etc. Shake Shack also works great for multiple families or groups of couples as well. The house is uniquely old school outer banks with shake exterior and inviting porches. Come inside though and it is a modern very well cared for bright spacious home with an elevator!

The great thing about this house is the ability to accommodate big groups in a central location. Close to Duck and a 5 min walk to the beach. Plenty of space for everyone. You don't have to go anywhere by car after arriving! We like to bike around town! Bike and other equipment rental at http://www.mydvo.com. They even deliver and pick up!
