Cancelled

Our reservation was cancelled last minute also, and we had to find another place the morning we arrived. The host still hasn’t replied back to me. We drove from Cherokee, North Carolina which was about 14 hours away. I should’ve read the reviews before booking because apparently it’s happened a lot.

Nice place for weekend stay to float the river! Host communication was fast and easy! Perfect size for 5-6 people.

Not happy

I got to Oklahoma on the day I rented the place and an hour before checking,they contacted me and said it was cancelled. I traveled from NC 12 hr drive and I was upset on this news, I wouldn't recommend this to anybody if you travel a long distance.

Beware

I booked this a couple weeks in advance. I received no communication and reached out by message on vrbo app, calling (mailbox was full so could not leave message), and texting. No response so I called vrbo for help. They reached out multiple times as well with no response. I got an email at 8 pm the night before we were to arrive saying our reservation was cancelled due to air conditioning being broken and not able to be fixed in time. It left us scrambling for another place to stay for 6 people. Expressed my frustration with no apologies. I understand that things happen beyond ones control but at no point was it said that this just happened and with no responses for 5 days of me texting leads me to believe they knew it was out and did not say anything. I would think twice before booking.

Last minute host cancellation

We got cancelled on last minute. And had to find a hotel and drove 3 hours to get there. According to other family/friends that used vrbo it has happened to them too, so don’t use vrbo

Tahlequah Float Trip

This property was very nice and perfect for our group. The bathrooms, kitchen, and other rooms were spacious and clean at first sight. After walking around in the house barefoot all of our feet were black on the bottom telling us it had been a very long time since the floors had been mopped. There was a humongous wasp nest outside the front door that we were leery of and 2 smaller ones that we were able to knock down. Other than that I would totally recommend staying here.

Accommodated but not up to par

The plumbing was not done properly so there was a fowl odor, the toilets weren’t flushing properly, the fan blew sparks while we were laying in bed and we lost electricity to the entire apartment. Luckily we were planning on being gone all day while they fixed it but we got off our float trip at 6pm wondering if we had electricity. People were walking the streets yelling at 2 AM. The place is beautifully decorated and accommodating and great for a short stay but has some work that needs to be done.

Definitely recommend!

The checking in process was so easy and fast! Great floor plan, very open for activities and games! We had a small group float trip and they even left us towels! If you are trying to cook there I would recommend them to get pans for the oven but other than that I will definitely be renting this place again for a float trip or just a small group fun in tahlequah! The owner responded so quickly and made our trip amazing!
