*4 SEASONS COTTAGE*The Kawartha Waterfront Cottage is a charming vacation rental located just an hour's drive away from the bustling city of Toronto. This cozy cottage is nestled in a peaceful and secluded spot, offering visitors a relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.

One of the most striking features of the Kawartha Waterfront Cottage is its private dock, which provides guests with easy access to the lake. Boating and fishing enthusiasts will be delighted by the calm waters and abundant fish in the lake, while those looking to relax can sit back and enjoy the tranquil scenery. Additionally, We offer volleyball on the grassy area near the cottages, allowing guests to enjoy a game and soak up the sun.

The cottage itself is fully equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. * Bedroom 4 is located in the building next to main cottage, no bathroom in this building.*The outdoor propane grill is perfect for barbecuing up a delicious meal, while the pool table offers a fun indoor activity for those rainy days. Visitors can also take advantage of the canoes available on-site, perfect for exploring the lake and its surroundings.

For those looking to unwind and relax, the hot tub provides the perfect spot to soak in some bubbles while enjoying the beautiful scenery. It's the perfect way to unwind after a long day of fishing or boating.

It's worth noting that while the lake is perfect for boating and fishing, it's not suitable for swimming. In fall/winter season, the lake can dry up making the lake unusable for kayaking or boating.

Great Getaway

This was a great property for me and my family. Plenty of room for my family of 4 plus a friend. The kids enjoyed the canoeing, fishing from the dock, and the volleyball net that was set up.

Family Getaway

The cottage was very spacious lots of room for the family to gather together. There was plenty of yards space. We enjoyed the size of the yard and being able to play yard games outside. We also enjoyed the hot tub. There was one down to the cottage that is at the beds were not very comfortable. But overall, we enjoyed our stay. The host was very quick at replying to any questions that I had

Nice Getaway from the City

Wonderful place to stay. Nice big lot. Net is nice for volleyball etc. backyard is nice. Overall well kept. Indoors is very nice. Clean and organized. AC is ice cold. Overall great stay and nice hosts. Had small issue checking in, but quickly resolved with great communication from hosts. Only recommendation is make sure to bring bottled water! Thank you for having us!

A Decent Stay

The property was large and all the amenities such as the hot tub, barbecue, fire pit and pool table were big plusses. We also enjoyed the volleyball ball net. The kitchen was a good size and the heating worked well as well as the Wi-Fi. Lastly, everyone in our 8 person party had a place to sleep. However, the property could use some upkeep, the dock was slanted and felt unsafe, the front door cannot be used and is blocked by overgrown weeds and shrubbery. The carpet was really dirty, one chair had a burn mark, and the legs were breaking on one of the couches. The listing says that pets are allowed but a follow-up email says that you will be charged a cleaning fee if there is fur on the furniture, that said, we weren't charged. The rooms are really small and the mattresses are really hard or so soft that you can feel the bed frame underneath. There was no window covering in one of the rooms, and the sofa in the separate unit was filthy under the cushions. A nice place, but it should really be more properly maintained.

the lake is not proper for swimming

While the cottage itself was good, the lake's condition was a major letdown and a significant factor in our overall experience. Unfortunately, we didn’t read the description well and missed the fact that this lake is not suitable for swimming. Also, the outdoor pictures posted are outdated. The hottub was good but can only fit 2 at any time. 3 might be possible. It is small hottub The host though was very responsive. There was an issue with the water but it was fixed before we arrived at the cottage and that didn’t If you're looking for a peaceful and swimmable lake, this might not be the best choice. However, if you're okay with a more eerie atmosphere, this might still work for you. Just be sure to set clear expectations before booking.
